While some were out of my budget or would have required alterations I wasn't willing to do, I ended up finding the perfect dress--already my size, needing little to no alterations, and within my budget. We were honestly amazed. I also really appreciated that they offer to hold a dress for a short period of time (either a few hours or up to a day). When you're making a big purchase decision--especially since the dresses are final sale--it's refreshing and reassuring to see a business that encourages you not to rush. It felt honest and thoughtful, not like they were just trying to make a quick sale. The only downside was the fitting room lighting. It isn't very flattering and doesn't show well on camera, which makes it hard if you're FaceTiming family or friends for a second opinion. I'd recommend stepping toward the front of the store near the window for better lighting. As a suggestion to the store, improving the fitting room lighting would make a huge difference and would also allow customers to feel more comfortable without having to walk to the front of the shop or be visible from outside. They agreed to refund me $2,276.88 five weeks ago, and I am still fighting for that refund. ... This is literally the first negative review I have ever written. I work in customer service, and I am very understanding. However, this has been a nightmare experience and their lack of professionalism as a business is absurd. I ordered a dress from HCTB with Rebecca on November 21, 2025, nearly six months before my wedding (May 2026). With the time constraint, I was planning on buying off-the-rack. Rebecca assured me I could order a brand new dress because it would arrive in February or March, which would allow enough time for fittings and alterations. I was repeatedly given conflicting delivery updates and fitting appointments that were later cancelled because the dress had not actually arrived. Below is a timeline of my communication with HCTB: On March 11th, after not hearing from them, I reached out asking for an update and received no response. On March 14th, I followed up again and was told my dress had shipped. We scheduled a fitting for April 8th. On April 7th, I was called and told the dress had not arrived and needed to reschedule. We rescheduled for April 15th. On April 14th, I was told again that the dress had still not arrived and we needed to reschedule. I was then told the dress would arrive on April 20 and we scheduled for April 22nd. I specifically expressed concern and asked how confident Rebecca was in that date, and she said she was "100% certain" it would arrive. On April 21st at 8:15 PM, I was contacted and told the dress still had not arrived and that now it "should" arrive by the end of April. My wedding was in May. On April 23rd, I sent a formal demand for a refund citing their contract. No response. On April 27th, I followed up. The next day they responded and said they would talk to the manager that day and get back to me. I heard nothing. On May 6th, I sent a text following up. Two days later they responded saying they would let the manager know I followed up. I asked when I should expect resolution and they said they would update me that day. They did not. On May 9th, I received a text stating they heard back from accounting, they were going to refund me in full, and I would see that refund in 10 business days. (Yay, I thought this was over.) On May 22nd, after 10 business days had passed and I was not refunded or given an update. I sent another text asking for an update. No response. On May 26th, I called the store and left a voicemail. I also sent a text. They responded to the text promising to get back to me by EOD. They did not. On May 27th, I called the store again from my husband's phone because they seemed to be ignoring my number. They answered and I spoke to Rebecca. She was very nice on the phone, thanked me for being so understanding, and ensured the refund would be processed by May 31st. It was not. On June 8th, I reached out again. They responded and said, "You have been so understanding and I am so sorry you have not received your refund. I will follow up with Rebecca and make sure you see this refund this week. This has taken too long." That was 8 days ago and I still have not been refunded or given an update. Long story short, do not give these people your business.

Her attention to detail is unmatched, she made sure every inch of my dress fit perfectly and looked flawless. But beyond her talent, it was her energy and care that made the experience so special. She brought excitement and positivity to every single appointment and always made me feel beautiful and confident. As a very Type A bride, I was definitely anxious and stressed throughout the process, but Karla constantly reassured me that everything would come together and she was right. Every appointment felt supportive and uplifting, and by the end, my dress was more perfect than I could have ever imagined. And let me just say Karla made sure this dress was indestructible. Based on the fitted style I chose, I truly didn't think I'd even be able to sit, let alone move comfortably. I was so worried about the zipper or seams giving out, but not even close. I danced all the way down to the floor, moved freely all night, and somehow even managed to lift myself up and over a fence for the most stunning cliffside photos. The craftsmanship and reinforcement she put into my dress gave me total confidence to fully enjoy every moment without holding back.
