Bridges is one of my Grandmother's favorite restaurants. We were just here to celebrate her 94th birthday and the staff did such a great job accommodating our large party of 17. Tiffany and Katie (servers) were wonderful and so attentive. The food is always delicious. We came on a Saturday night in November just after 5pm to watch the sun go down. We were immediately seated at an awesome table right on the water inside. Exactly what we wanted for our sundowners! Alejandro was our cheerful waiter who was prompt with refills, helpful with the menu, and accommodating to our request to have our picture taken. Great service! I got the red sangria and it was perfect on a cold November night. We ordered the crab dip appetizer which was AWESOME. Soft yet crunchy garlic bread paired with warm, ooey gooey seasoned cream sauce covering gigantic chunks of fresh, succulent crab. Perfect split amongst three folks! We marveled at how many big chunks of crab we found in the dip - Bridges really goes all out for this dip. We were doing a progressive dinner and didn't have entrees but I wish we had spent all night there. The bar had all the football games playing, there was live music, the atmosphere was warm and cozy. Came here for some lunch with some friends. We were seated right away and sat on the porch. Lovely view of the water from where we are sitting :) I ordered some calamari and the crab melt. My husband ordered the fish tacos. My friends ordered the Jamaican chicken sandwich and crab cake for their entrees. The calamari were great! Seasoned well and fried perfectly crispy. It came with this sweet chili sauce which went well with it. Yumm! My crab melt came out and looked divine. Lots of melty cheesy goodness!! There was lots of crab and I was very happy with my meal. We came here searching for a simple gourmet burger but found something else entirely . . . satisfaction. I ordered from their small plate menu, since it was already late in the evening. I noticed they had a seared scallop and mushroom risotto that seemed appeasing. I knew if they couldn't get scallops or risotto right, I wouldn't be revisiting. I ordered and others did as well. As we waited, our waitress put some fresh bread on the table with for us. There was butter and also an oil with tapenade that accompanied the bread. That tapenade was ON POINT ! ! Lol We had to ask for another dish of it. I seriously could have gotten full off of the bread alone. Look out other restaurants! When you serve me bread, I'm going to ask for tapenade with my oil and herbs. Let's see where y'all compare Lol You can see by the picture how many scallops I received and also the risotto. Not very colorful but the taste made up for the lack of it's visual appeal. The balsamic reduction gave it a sweet taste that I could have done without. The mushroom risotto had so much flavor and creaminess I think I enjoyed it more than the actual scallops. They were seared perfectly and not overcooked. I will be adding mushroom risotto to my repertoire of recipes. I actually went out and bought scallops the following day to make it at home. Our waitress was very patient and knowledgeable. The restaurant was very quiet but I could tell it was a local spot. Their outside dining area was open and guest were seated there as well. When we visited it wasn't too busy and managed to get our orders in 15 minutes before the kitchen closed at 10. Perfect timing. Bridges is my favorite restaurant on "this side of the bridge." The service is always wonderful, the food is good, and the view is AMAZING. The ambiance is unbeatable. There is ample parking and they take reservations, including on OpenTable (if you're a points junkie). They are a great place for lunch or dinner and have lots of seafood options, as you'd expect for a waterfront restaurant. Some of my favorite meals include the Berry Glazed Salmon, Scallops & Risotto, Stuffed Shrimp, and the Autumn Harvest Salad. Stopped in on our way back from the eastern shore since reviews were great. View is fantastic and restaurant is nice. We had the salmon and the rockfish which were good, however it was hard to enjoy since we saw the server leaning over the food window with one of our entrees in the window have a prolonged discussion with some of the kitchen staff while waiting for our second entree. I would have liked it much better if my food hadn't been extensively breathed on. We will spare you the video. Management should consider other ways for staff to spend idle time or communicate with kitchen staff as orders are put in the window to warm until served especially with an open kitchen. read more

Wow, even with all the problems surrounding Covid, this place is serving a fantastic experience! Well, spaced dining was quickly served and with food that was just wonderful. Celebrated my birthday here with my family a few days early. Great views of the Kent Narrows waterfront. Plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas. Unfortunately at 5'8 and with wedges on I was too tall to walk under the umbrella and had to stoop under each and every one to get to our table. Our waitress was great. It was beautiful. The service was great and the food was delicious. I had crab cake (w/delicious potatoes). He had Rockfish (it came with grits which had no taste...if you can, substitute with something else). We shared calamari and mango sorbet. Everything was pretty good. The calamari could have been crispier, but it was fine and the sweet sauce that came with it (not sure the name) was really good. The portions were rather small for the price, but again tasty. I'd highly recommend it if you have the bucks (each lunch was about $30). read more

We go to bridges often for work lunches/ dinners. It's a business casual to a fancy place. It's right on the water so if the evening is nice I suggest sitting outside. They also have a porch that looks out to the water. The food and service can't be beat, which is why we keep coming back. read more

It is mid November, and with the pandemic still ongoing, we prefer outside dining only. We checked Annapolis places and not much was available, short notice, on a Saturday. So we crossed the Bay Bridge and had an excellent early dinner meal at Bridges. They have really adapted their space well to allow for safe dining. It was sunny today, with highs in the mid-50's. They open up the bar to the outdoor patio area, where they have now installed about ten powerful propane heaters. Tables are well spaced and all staff are wearing masks. The five star rating today is based upon the layout and the food. There were a few hiccups with the service, but it was a gorgeous day to linger. After placing our wine & beer order, we ordered a cup of their Vegetable Crab Soup to share. It was very tasty. We asked for bread at that time. For our entrees, my husband ordered the two crab cake dinner ($37) and I ordered the stuffed shrimp ($32). The crab cakes were quite big and really delicious, full of lump crab. There were four shrimp, which are butterflies and topped with crab imperial. Overall, the crab cakes were a better value. I actually enjoyed the sides as much as the main items. The shrimp came with garlic mashed potatoes and tender crisp green beans (thin ones, like haricots verts). Those were delicious. The crab cakes were served with a sweet potato hash (chopped up), and I liked that too but my husband is less of a fan of sweet potatoes. When the entrees came out, we asked again for bread and a beer refill. Those two things came at the end of the meal. We also waited a long time for the check. Our young server seemed to have most of the patio tables and he was a bit overwhelmed. But we were cozy, due to the heaters, and the view is gorgeous. I would say you could enjoy dining outside any time it is 48 degrees or above. read more

Another great experience at Bridges! This time we took our girls. The staff was amazing, the food was of course out of this world, and they even custom made our drinks and the girls desserts. If you ever have any doubt about taking your kids into this place, don't. We were there a little early, but still dinner time so they weren't real busy. Service was a little slow, but we ordered more than usual. My partner and I had Bloody Mary's. They're not on the menu, but they were AMAZING. Our dinner was delicious as always, and desserts all around. We custom ordered two ice cream bowls with chocolate syrup for the girls, I had the lemon mascarpone cake, and my partner had the cheese cake. If you are looking for a relaxing time on the water with a gorgeous view or a warm and cozy dinner by the fireplace, this is where you want to go! read more

We've been here a few times over the past seven or so years and the atmosphere has always been pleasant. Perhaps that has been the only saving grace? We were meeting family here and arrived at 3:25 PM for a 3:30 PM reservation. We requested to be seated outside and had a nice table with a pleasant view. Overheard a racist conversation from the Trump-loving Karens at the next table. Obviously, they had had too much chardonnay and were loud, probably thinking all within earshot were friendly to their views. Uh, no. We thought we would order a cocktail while we waited for the rest of our party. It would have been nice to relax and enjoy the view with some spirits. Unfortunately, our server never visited. Disappointment #1. The rest of our party arrived at 3:35 PM and within seconds our server came to the table ready to take our order. We had already decided what we wanted though the rest of our party had to scramble to decide what they wanted. Not that big of a deal, but no mention of the fact that we had been sitting at the table waiting for recognition. We also requested ice water for everyone. While the cocktails arrived in a reasonable amount of time, we had to remind the server that he had forgotten the ice waters when he came to take our order some time later. Disappointment #2. We started off with a few appetizers which everyone enjoyed, particularly the calamari. The bruschetta tasted fresh as well and had nice flavor. When trying to pass around the board on which it was presented, we found the handle greasy and unclean. After our appetizers, we placed our entree orders. The server said he was unsure that we would be able to order the items we had selected and asked us what time it was. After checking his phone to determine the time, he said he would check with the kitchen to see if we could order off of the menus we had been given. He returned a moment later with dinner menus and said that we had been given lunch menus and they would not accommodate our selections. Disappointment #3. If we were seated during a shoulder period, why were we not advised that there would be a limited window in which an order could be placed? Or given both menus and advised of the timeframes? Or, wild thought...JUST ACCOMMODATE YOUR CUSTOMERS. In any case, we ordered our entrees and one of our party requested bread for the table. The server asked if we would like tapenade as well and we told him that would be great. Our entrees were delivered within a reasonable period though they were auctioned off to the table. We asked for the bread that we had been promised (Disappointment #4) and the food runner asked who our server was. Uh, you tell us - he never introduced himself. We spotted him and pointed him out to the food runner who informed the server that he had forgotten something again. The server brought the bread a few minutes later, though without acknowledging his error. The food? The scallops were very large but scarce. Still, tasty. The Thai bowl was a joke. $31 and with zero flavor. The sashimi was a nice addition but the "entree" itself was a ripoff. Two of our party ordered the spinach and arugula salad, one with the addition of chicken. Interestingly, the one without chicken was literally on a half-sized plate with a half-sized portion. Why? The chicken was forgettable. Perdue strips? Overall, the food was Disappointment #5. Disappointment #6 was the paper towel dispenser in the men's room. While the restaurant has seemingly taken some steps toward health and safety, the towel dispenser is not contactless. Additionally, it appeared to be malfunctioning as it required touch to crank the paddle up and down to dispense towels. Gross. There are too many other restaurants to try/visit to waste time on locations that are consistent disappointments. Doubt we will return. P.S. What happened to the goat cheese? it was quite a bit smaller than we recall from years ago. Disappointment #7. read more

The patio and views at this restaurant can't be beat! If the weather hadn't been so incredibly hot and humid, this Midwesterner would have sat out there for a very long time. Warning: some may construe this as Maryland blasphemy, but here it is. I don't eat seafood. Since this was the only restaurant within walking distance of my hotel that didn't include the word "crab" in the name, they got my business. I started with this mind-blowing grapefruit mojito concoction that made me recall the beaches of Jamaica. It was so good I had two. I had the white sausage pizza for dinner, which was delicious and came with a nice treat of some goat cheese sprinkled on top. My server was so friendly and answered my questions without having to run back to ask the kitchen, as they so often do. I usually ride across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge headed to OC but today I decided to stay close to home. There was a storm coming and I was on my 2s. A quick GF meal search exposed this restaurant to me. This restaurant has a great atmosphere. Sitting by the water it felt as if we were in the Caribbean as Bob Marley played in the background.
