I had great experience coming to this nail salon for the first time. I had a pedicure with Lynn and she was amazing, she made sure I am happy and satisfied with the service. Upon entering, they measure the temperature and there is a paper to be signed. There is glass in between customer and the nail tech as well as glass between each of the chairs being used. I was looking for a new place to be able to walk in and get my nails done without an appointment. I looked up this place, bright star nails, and it seem to have very good reviews. So I decided to take a chance and stop by. I am so happy that I did. It's a very small and quaint location. Not too much fuffu like other nail salons and what I really liked was the fact that it didn't smell so much like a nail salon. The Lady that did my nails did an amazing job and I am very happy with how my nails turned out. As I sat down she greeted me with a smile and was so polite. I also found my favorite color which is very hard to find in a lot of places (DND 606 coach London). She was very gentle considering that I had broken an hour and a half taking off my nail. She took her time and was not rushing and was very careful When working on my broken nail. I had asked if they are able to do a nail art and she said yes that they had a nail artist on hand. Which, by the way, was amazing to hear because a couple of other places that I had checked out they said that they have stickers of different designs that they could apply on the nail but not an actual freehanded nail artist. I showed them both the design that I wanted and it turned out pretty good. I think I will be going back and trying out different kinds of nail Art in the future. So my acrylic nails needed a fill and I wanted a new design and the acrylics a little shorter, and we were at my fiancé's work and had an hour to get this done, so of course I yelped a place and found this place right down the street from his work. We called ahead of time to see if they took cards, and the person told us no even though when we got there there was a sign that said there's a .50 cent fee for cards. Little contradictory, but it was ok. We went and got some cash anyways. This place is a popular spot and I only had to wait 10 minutes to get seen. I came in with a picture I found on a search engine, and the lady went beyond and above for me. They looked EXACTLY like the picture. And she shortened the length to exactly what I asked for with no problem. It was only $25 for a fill and the mew design. She was super gently on my hands and fingers. I have petite hands and fingers so I'm always looking for mail places to be super gently with my hands. And they all spoke English very well. We could have a full conversation and we chit chatted while she was doing my nails. This place was amazing! Super friendly and the best customer service! This is absolutely the worst nail salon in the Temecula area. BEWARE! They up charge without telling you, and don't even give you the services that they are up charging you for! Don't allow your daughter to go in alone, they tried charging my teen double what they quoted on the phone. They charged $50 for star mani pedi which was supposed to be $35 (white nails below). They tried to charge $52 for the very crooked regular "not gel" full set (blue nails below). I write this not as a new customer who had a bad experience but as a customer who's been coming here since 2018/2019 to show how little respect and loyalty they have for their customers. As I was getting my nails done 12/23 I experienced the WORST customer service and nail work. I went in for a fill and pedicure and left with awful thick uneven nails with cuts around my fingers and no polish on my toes. I originally asked for french tip when it came out too thick i asked if we could make it thinner to which my nail tech said no because i already put it in the light, so i asked her to just paint my nail a solid color to which she then backtracked saying she could fix it, I knew at this point I was not going to like the nails so I said a solid color is fine. They did not once ask me if i wanted my nails shorter, the shape(came in with square nails) or even the color. The tech doing my nails and the tech doing my toes just talked to each other over me the whole time as if no one was in the salon. This is where my problems begin, The lady doing my toes got up before finishing my pedicure and started working on another persons toes, while the lady doing my nails was rolling her eyes at me and visibly upset was huffing and puffing. As I can see that she's clearly mad she is getting polish all of my hands and clips my skin with the drill. Once the lady came back to dome toes I refused polish for two reasons, I had somewhere to be and this had already been an hour and a half and she did not once change her gloves from me to the other girl she helped. Someone else was having an issue with them, to which my nail tech responded under her breath " what is wrong with people today, it awful" when what she was experiencing was a reaction to her lack of professionalism, organization, and overall customer service. Sad to say I will absolutely never be back and the only advice I can give is if you have to come here, Sarah is who you want. The only professional person working there. read more

The lady I had was nice, quiet as I was the one doing the talking just so we wouldn't sit in silence. I asked for one thing and got something way different. She kept stopping just to be on her phone and start texting every minute. She did not cut my cuticles or clean my nails, did not make sure my nail were all the same length, and was rough the whole time. She cut me twice with the machine and the nail file. She put my nail polish on like she was in hurry when there was no one else in the salon. I was in and out of that salon in TWENTY minutes because she did not take the time to actually do a good job. I came in to make an appointment but they had availability and was able to take me immediately. They're very updated and knowledgeable about COVID-19 here. They got the plexiglass shields at all the tables, in front of all the pedicure chairs and between all the pedicure chairs too. They had me pick a color from the pallets at the front. It looks like they had only 4 wall displays of polish by the front door. But they actually had those IKEA drawers in between the pedicure chairs that hold MORE polish! That's insane on the variety of polish they have- regular, gel, dip powder. While I was getting my nails done, I saw the nail technicians spray disinfectant over the tables and spa bathes for the pedicures and each chair and wipe it all down after each customer before they sat the next customer. Plus they use this blue plastic bag thing in each of the pedicure spa bathe too that they toss after each customer. I saw that they disposed certain tools after one use too. So I'm assuming the blue liquid labeled BARBICIDE by the sink and the oven with the blue light is what they're using to santize they're other equipment. I feel like this salon went above and beyond regarding safety during covid-19 and my full set came out amazing!! I will definitely have to make time to include a pedicure when I one back for a fill!! read more

I called and they took me in right away for a fill and a pedicure. They did my pedicure and manicure at the same time and it was uncomfortable to keep twisting my body while keeping my feet still. They didn't turn on my chair massager so I just sat there wanting it on but scared to ask. I wanted white lines going across my nails and they told me it was going to be an extra 20 something dollars even tho every other nail salon would have been 5 or 10. Then after my pedicure and manicure they made me sit for them to dry. They took their time and ate their lunch in front of me while I just sat there with no massage or cellphone service. There wasn't a wait time, probably because I went on a Monday, early afternoon but I did call ahead to check to see if an appointment was needed. Joe did my pedicure and he was very friendly and insightful with choosing colors and styles. He took his time and paid great attention to detail. Tina did my gel manicure and she was amazing as well, especially being careful with my nail that was broken. Tina also waxed my eyebrows. She listened and made sure they were even and still full. Overall, they did great quality work at this Salon. I have recommended this place to my friends and l will be coming back. If I could give it zero stars I would!!! First time going, and definitely the last! They have ZERO customer service skills. I'm fairly simple to please when it comes to my nails, all I truly care about is that they are the same length, and shape...the rest I'm pretty flexible on. That didn't happen, and when I mentioned it to the tech she acted like she didn't know what I was saying, yet spoke perfect English on the phone. She dropped her file on the dirty DIRTY floor, and then went to use it on my nails like it was no big deal! She busted my cuticles on every single finger, and I now have acrylic build up under my nails and on the outer sides of my cuticles, no wonder she couldn't tell where the nail started and cuticle ended! She had no idea what she was doing! Then the woman who did my pedicure cut my toenails down so low they hurt, and she was ROUGH even for doing a half assed job. She was at least nice.
