After several time telling the guy at my door that I was working and wasn't interested he commented that he could see black mold in my windows and wanted to know what I was going to do about it, I told him again I wasn't interested and was working and said we would take care of our home however we choose and finally just shut the door. As he was walking away he sarcastically commented "good luck with that". A company that sends a man to my home who is insulting, rude and pushy will not ever get my business or anyone I know. He is very lucky he walked away without getting a piece of my mind about knocking on my door and the being such an a hole. Not with it though. We were in need of replacing our windows. We have been in our home for almost 21 years. We noticed that during the Summer, it was almost impossible the keep the house cool. During the Winter, you couldn't sit next to the windows in the living room without a blanket. The draftiness of the house made our energy bills go through the roof. We had expected windows in the entire house would be astronomical. We had not been actively looking for windows, but just happened to have a Brightside person stop by our house. We thought perfect time, let's get an estimate. We set up the appointment and they presented us some options and comparisons. We ended up going with triple pane, double-hung windows for most of the rooms. The prices were definitely comparable with other companies, but Brightside has better warranties. We broke up the install into two different projects to help with our budgeting. The install crew, led by Adam was fantastic. They were friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. The crews made sure the area was in better condition than they found it. They answered any questions I had and walked us through the process from start to finish. They made sure we were comfortable with the use of the windows. Any small issue or question I've had, they have been absolutely pleasant and helpful. Our energy bills have already seen a huge decrease. The air conditioner doesn't run all day long and the house maintains a perfect temperature for our liking. We're greatly looking forward to see how we get through the coming Winter. If you're in need of new windows, I'd highly recommend giving Brightside a shot. I haven't read through ask the reviews, but I'd imagine the negative reviews were because of someone selling door-to-door. I saw him "aiming" for my outside steps, so was at the door when he knocked. He told me that he had "noticed" I had old windows. True. Had seen my various stickers about human rights, the environment, etc. Then he told me the obvious: HIS company windows would save energy. DUH!He asked why I hadn't fixed that. Brightside uses a high-pressure, door-to-door commissioned sales model, and my experience was quite disappointing. During a March 2026 sales visit, I was told I had original 1986 windows -- but they were replaced in 2010. I was promised "about 50% savings" over competitors, yet Brightside quoted over $27k while another major company quoted $16k for comparable product and installation. I was also told my home was being selected as a special "marketing home" with exclusive pricing I couldn't share with neighbors, but the numbers presented did not reflect any meaningful discount. I was pressured to sign immediately, even though the offer was later extended. In my view, these tactics felt misleading and unnecessarily aggressive. I would also caution homeowners not to interpret local sports sponsorships as endorsements of product value -- sponsorship is a marketing strategy, not a guarantee of quality or pricing. I understand Brightside supplies Alside-manufactured windows, which is important for consumers to know when comparing brands. The actual installation process was good. We had some miscommunications around trim and the fit of the windows, which they were able to address. The sales process could have been better. There were aspects that were discussed and not delivered on, but hey that's a typical sales process for you. Found errors in quality of workmanship about 2 years later. There was damage to the trim inside of our house due to water leaking around the sides of the window. The company would not repair the issues because we were outside the 1 year installation warrantee, even though I had expressed concerns about the lack of insulation and some other pieces at the time. I talked with a couple other window companies and they identified that there was a lack of flashing which was allowing wind and water into the house around the sides of the windows. Very disappointed in their lack of interest in fixing their mistakes. To be fair, their initial sales service was good. They did a great job of walking through the house and helping us understand the options. The installers were very professional and did a great job communicating as they went room to room. They just weren't very good at the installation and don't stand behind their product. read more

They stopped by my house this week to offer a great deal, if I would be a model home in the neighborhood. When the sales person arrived, it was a 20 year-old girl who kept giggling and was dressed unprofessionally. She had with her a trainee, who was 17. The windows that they showed me looked nice and had good numbers for insulation. I became concerned when the sales person told me that the company cuts the fin from the old window to remove them without taking off the old trim. They then attach the new window, which must not have a fin, into the open space. I asked her how this was done, and she told me that she didn't know. The final estimate, which was supposed to exclude labor and give a 30% discount, seemed very high. I have received quotes from a local contractor and Renewal by Anderson, which included labor costs, and they were not considerably different. Had 9 windows replaced two months ago and we are very happy with the results! The windows themselves are excellent quality and have many nice features not found on our old windows. The guys who did the installation (right on schedule too i might add) took one day to get them all replaced. They were courteous, helpful with all our questions, and professional. They left nothing for us to clean up and even did some extra sealing around some of our other windows. The price was very competitive, lower than almost all the others we looked at. We couldn't be happier with our new triple pane windows! We replaced 12 windows on the front of our house and their quality is amazing. The sound of the nearby traffic is basically non-existent and the house is much cooler. Most of our windows are on the second floor and cleaning them is a breeze now. I had some windows replaced by Brightside Windows in my 26 year old home and it was such an easy process! They scheduled my appointment when it was convenient for me, brought samples and explained everything well. Regarding the installation, Denis and his coworker were prompt and quickly finished the job in one day and thoroughly answered my questions and cleaned up the areas. I also have stucco on the front around my windows and had no damage at all to the stucco, which I understand can be a problem when replacing the windows. I was very surprised at her attire: jeans with huge holes and frayed fabric across both knees, and another hole above that, as if 2 huge holes weren't enough! Her appearance was so unprofessional. We had been waiting several weeks to hear back from this company regarding an installation of our windows that left them unsealed, some of the windows bowed at the seal and slivers of light coming in from the outside. We finally were able to reach them via phone after repeated attempts and scheduled an appointment. We are concerned that the faulty install and their warranty will not be fixed and upheld. He had the typical spiel: said he was in the neighborhood, doing business with a neighbor of mine, they don't advertise but he was looking for houses to represent their company, they offered a discount on windows with labor prices covered, all I'd have to do is display a sign in my yard for 90 days and not tell anyone that I got a "discounted price". He noted my aluminum frame windows. I have an old house from 1970's, yes I need new windows. For a second I considered this service. He tried to make an appointment for the true sales pitch and estimate, asked if I had time. I said not at the moment, and I asked for a business card. His demeanor totally changed, he gave up. Suddenly he was checking his phone every few seconds, he admitted to not having business cards, said he could text me his website. I looked at the logo on his jacket - Brightside Windows. I told him I'd take a look at the website myself. He left. Note to the company: I'll put a sign in my yard for an entire year to help advertise if you cover the cost and labor of the entire deal. Terrible. I was excited about a truly local window company. The install was so bad that my neighbors left notes on my door because they were concerned about the huge gap between my windows and the casings - like an 1" all around. Brightside Windows are terrible to work with. From day one, They had no less then 4 people couldn't even count how many windows in my home. I paid for triple paned windows and received 6 double paned windows. Very disappointed. They did not give me the choice to pick a different window, they just ordered double paned and hoped I wouldn't notice when installed. I did notice. They wouldn't correct their mistake. They took the liberty to their own thing . No communication. When they were installed, slider door was backwards, picture window installed when I asked for slider, they forgot windows. Next time, installers came they had wrong size, and still forgot the same windows they forgot the first time. Third time installers came, I still don't have 2 of my windows. I started this project in January and still don't have all my windows. They are dishonest, fraudulent on many levels , I will not recommend this company, ever. read more

We ordered replacement windows from Brightside Windows & Doors. Due to supply line disruptions the windows were delayed. The replacement windows finally arrived & were installed 2 weeks ago. We love them. The replacement windows are triple pane. Our home is considerably quieter,no drafts of cold air & the heat pump runs a lot less. Getting windows replaced was not originally planned for or budgeted for in my family, however when Brightside approached us back in October of 2021, we understood the values that the new windows would bring. Some windows did have issues due to old age so it was time to replace them anyway. Financing process was easy as well, so in the end it was a really good thing for our family. New windows arrived in early 2022. The install process was simple and easy. From the initial contact through installation the staff were all very knowledgeable and helpful. The installation from Paul, Pavel and Roman was professional and quick. Brightside installed our windows, and we love them. We ordered them in September 2021 and because of the pandemic and supply chain delays they were not able to install the windows until March 2022 (3 month delay). Once they started the install, the guys were very efficient, doing one room at a time. It was March and still very cold outside. By doing one room at a time, they didn't let too much heat out. They even respected our no shoes in the house policy and would take their shoes off and on as they entered and exited the house. They replaced 23 windows and 3 sliding glass doors in 5 days. The windows look great and the triple pane glass keeps out the noise and keeps the indoor temperature consistent. Today it is over 90 degrees outside and we are nice and comfortable inside thanks to then new windows. One of the features we really like about the windows is that they are very easy to clean because of the way they can hinge into the house and allow us to access to the outside of the window. This is really helpful as in the past we would need to get on a ladder to access the outside of the windows not to mention trees blocking access to some windows from the outside. read more
