After all of the great reviews, I finally decided to try brightwok kitchen. This is a chipotle type of restaurant where the fresh ingredients are chosen, and then made to order on the grill top. I ordered the earth, curry and fire and added chicken. I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately it wasn't my cup of tea. My dish had a bit too many carrots and not enough chicken or tofu.

The earth, curry, and fire with steak came out great. It was delicious and I got 2 sweet potato fritters with it. The flavors worked really well together. I could probably eat 20 sweet potato fritters. The girl working today was very helpful with my buddies getting them samples of the different sauces to try. Everyone enjoyed our food. It was a bit cold and we had the dining area to ourselves. It was clean and neat. The kitchen area is kept very clean as well! She had the stove pulled out and I took a picture. That's always a good feeling when you see the restaurant doesn't neglect cleaning.

I love places that are "make your own" like this concept but I didn't really enjoy Brightwork. The food took awhile and once it came out it all kind of tasted the same.

Amazing! I was blown away by the umami mushroom bowl with steak. Full of flavor and the steak was so tender, it pairs with the umami flavor nicely. Love that this places emphasizes healthy alternatives.

Brightwok kitchen is easily one of my favorite places to grab lunch in the city! I've tried multiple sauces over the past few visits and everything has been so tasty and fast:) my favorite one is probably the Thai basil but tbh you can't go wrong with any of them! The staff are all very kind and knowledgeable and the restaurant is very well maintained! I can't wait to come again soon

My go-to takeout is Earth, Curry & Fire w/ Tofu. It has the right balance of spiciness and good protein-veggie-rice ratio. You can customize it (e.g. as-is or steamed with less sauce). The staff is always welcoming and the place is cute! I have never eaten it but groups frequent this place. Many large tables for work lunch groups!

Love their panang; and the ingredients are very fresh. I'll definitely come back on my next Chicago visit!

Because it was marathon weekend, there were a bunch of participants meeting in the dining area. While looking at the menu, a seasonal option caught my attention because the teenage version of me who loves 90s alternative rock loved the name of a certain smoothie: Smashing Pumpkin. https://yelp.to/ak0wlKoakD This visit was during October so it made perfect sense to offer a fall-flavored smoothie. It was quite light in flavor and not too sweet. The default protein powder is whey so we substituted it for plant-based vanilla protein. They also offer a plant-based chocolate protein as well. Non-dairy milk options include oat milk and almond milk. Since the indoor dining area was occupied my marathon runners, we sat at the tables outside just in front of the shop. Great for people watching.

Using the app to order delivery was super simple, which made the whole process a breeze. I decided to get the bacon, egg, and cheese burrito, which had 50 grams of protein while being super low in calories. It was absolutely delicious! I also ordered an iced coffee, and it was just as good as what you'd get at Dunkin or Starbucks. What really stood out, though, was the price--my breakfast burrito was only $8, and the iced coffee was $2.50! For that quality, especially when staying within my macros, it's hard to beat. Protein Bar is definitely going into my regular rotation. It's a win when I can eat something tasty without compromising on my fitness goals!

The place was close to our hotel which was even better after exploring Chicago. When we go here we checked in and were asked to stand on the side and we will be seated. It did take awhile to get seated where other folks who didn't have reservations were getting seated before us. A hostess went to our kids menu on the table and then we waited some more. Finally a male host came and sat us. I think that was like a 15/20 wait. Our waitress was friendly and hospitable. She was cool to talk to and attentive to our needs this evening. We got the crispy rice wagyu and those were delicious. We also got the yuzo ribeye and black cod and those were really good. The kids loved the ribeye!!! I tried to get the lollipops but they sold out but I heard they are a great hit too. The noise level was very loud. It was so loud due to a party next to us who had a large gathering and were drinking heavily. Other parties left and the other side of the restaurant was still full with other folks but none around this loud group. Anyways - food wise and the waitress service was great. I was surprised and enjoyed out Food and visit that evening.

My two friends and I ordered the Korean fried chicken baos, two rolls of sushi (Panda Roll and Sake to Me), and Pad Thai to share. The Korean fried chicken baos were my favorite dish. The crispy chicken was glazed in a sweet and flavorful sauce, and each bao was also stuffed with fresh veggies that provided additional crunch. My favorite sushi roll was the Panda Roll because it included shrimp tempura and was drizzled with a combo of sweet and spicy sauces. The Sake to Me roll was also good, but I could have used some soy sauce to mix with the wasabi for additional flavor. The pad Thai had solid flavor, and I appreciated how it did not skimp on the protein. While I thought it would be jarring to consume such a wide variety of cuisines in a single meal, it was actually fun to share and try a little bit of everything.
