I made an appointment with the intention to just casually browse around and get some initial dress ideas, but I ended up leaving with the dress of my dreams....and it fit me perfectly. I wasn't sure what to expect with an "off-the-rack" store but they had such an impressive and diverse selection of dresses to choose from. The prices were extremely competitive as well. The best part of my experience (other than finding the perfect dress) was my consultant Kendra. She was AMAZING!!! Incredibly friendly and knowledgable, listened to my feedback, wasn't pushy at all, and helped me zero in on a style and design that suited my taste. It's been a few weeks since my bridal appointment and I am still so happy with my experience. I decided to come here after my fiancé's sister picked her dress here because I loved the whole process as an observer and the prices were going to be hard to beat for the gowns they have available. I think about my consultant Kelly at least twice a week haha, she was so great and kind and handled my kid like a pro. With my 6 year old only-child they are very used to being the center of attention and I was worried that would be a challenge, but Kelly kept her attention on me while still keeping them involved in the experience. I really couldn't be happier with her. She was very efficient in nailing down my style and I got my dress that day. We were one of the last appointments so some of the employees poked their heads around to compliment me (my fiancé's sister's consultant remembered me, love that), I really just felt amazing that day. I had a nightmare of an experience at Brilliant Bridal. I did find my dress here but I had no idea how much money I would have to spend on alterations. The sales associate made me look amazing in my dress but it was because of the amount of clips she used. She ended up altering the shape of the silhouette of the dress with the clips and the dress was also very big on me. She explained to me that changing the silhouette would be an "easy" fix for any seamstress. When I told her I wanted to sleep on it, she told me that she couldn't promise the dress would still be there tomorrow if I didn't get it that day. I didn't want to lose it and ended up buying it later with my mom. My mom was concerned with the size and asked if we could get it in a smaller size, she said because it was off the rack they couldn't- (when I later found out they had it at their other location smaller and didn't even call to check.) She gave me a list of seamstresses that came highly recommended, I went with Mariana C. Mariana assured me that she could do it for about $400 and so I left it with her for a month and a half. Then before our first fitting- she needed to reschedule for health reasons (which I totally understood) and so after almost two months of waiting, my mom and I went to the fitting. I was extremely disappointed as the dress had hardly been worked on besides the zipper being cut off the back leaving a big hole. It was still huge on me. She assured me that she only needed a little more time to work on it. After another almost two months we went back to have another fitting and were devastated to learn that she hadn't hardly worked on it at all. With only 5 weeks to go until my wedding. I ended up taking it to Gemma's bridal design in Chandler, after my best friend recommended her. She is incredible. The dress was cut into pieces and I thought I would have to get a new dress but She SAVED my dress. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. Before her it was completely unwearable. Mariana had cut the zipper off and lost it, the straps were un-even, the dress was sewn crooked and the top and waist were completely uneven. The back was open like a hospital gown. Gemma was able to put on new straps, zipper and closed the back and hemmed it to fit me, new boob cups, boning and sleeves were tailored. It was the dress of my dreams. However the alteration cost was about $1400 the cost of the dress! She told me if I had gone to her first it would have been about $500 but because of the redesign from the previous seamstress it was very costly. When I took the receipt to brilliant bridal, they were able to pay for half of the alteration bill to apologize. The manager was accommodating and I learned that the sales associate I had, was fired months before. It was just a strange experience. I'm glad it all ended up okay but it caused me so much stress. I would say when shopping for your dress, do not rush, DO NOT GET A DRESS THAT NEEDS A LOT OF CLIPS WHEN TRYING ON. I wish the sales associate had explained to me the cost of alterations and what to expect beforehand and I have no idea why the recommend the tailors they do. Do not take your dress to anyone else besides Gemma. She's the best in the valley, she will save you time, money and agony. I wished I had gone to her from the beginning. I don't know why this store recommends Gemma to some people and not others. She is 1000% worth the price of her alterations. read more

I came in with a long list of requirements for my dress and they had an eye for what I was looking for and when I tried on "the" dress? All of us were in Awwe. When I tried on a dress that made my body not look great? They didn't cheer saying it was a perfect fit like some of the other boutique ladies. If they would have? But here's the part where the team went above & beyond... my future sister-in-law lives in Arkansas, and was planning to take the dress home with her to get it locally altered. As we purchased the dress, Kendra looked up her options and, well, there really weren't any. SO Kendra sprung into action and called their seamstress/miracle worker, Jenn, to see if we could get an immediate alteration taken care of before the bride's flight in 2 days! They were offering 25% off when you booked an appointment. I booked appointment in March and did it at the right time cause a week after my appointment businesses were shutting down due to COVID. My appointment was with Mickey and she was absolutely amazing! She listened to everything I said in what I do and do not want in my wedding dress but also staying within budget. So grateful of Mickey because she picked out something a little bit different than what I told her but glad she did because I ended up saying yes to that dress! Fast forward to almost a year later, I've been reaching online for almost a year for a reception dress. Finally it hit me that I should give Brilliant Bridal a chance since I got my wedding dress there. I can't say enough good things about Brilliant Bridal in Mesa. The team here treats brides with so much care. I bought a Maggie Sottero sample dress here fairly close to my wedding date - a couple months ahead. Dress specialist Kendra was extremely helpful in helping us and showed us so many beautiful dresses from a new shipment that just arrived. Kendra is an absolute sweetheart (as are all the girls there) and she took so much care in finding me the right dress. I fell in love with a dress Kendra picked out for me to try. It was a definite yes and from there the alterations specialist who works out of this store, Jen Olsen, did an absolutely expert job with alterations helping to make the dress fit like a glove and she never settled for less. She put in perfectly fitting bra cups and took out some of the horse hair wiring in the breast area that I wasn't a fan of. Jen also made the hem line perfect and added a bustle that was able to hold up the heavy weight of the crepe fabric train (something my wedding planner informed is not always possible with other crepe-dress bustles she sees). I was already so grateful to Jen, then I had to go back to her to help with a near-catastrophe she helped solve with so much grace. A Phoenix area dry cleaner nearly ruined my dress and the beading - I took it there to be cleaned and pressed the week before my wedding and almost all the beads had fallen off due to their oversight while cleaning. I was devastated but I took the dress back to Jen and Kendra at Brilliant Bridal (so sad because it was PERFECT prior to the dry cleaner incident). And they found beads to match the original dress and Jen worked quickly to sew them all back in and even develop a brand new necklace for the back of the dress (this was also lost in the horrid dry cleaner incident). She is a miracle worker and I can't be more grateful to her for completely saving the day. Literally. She saved my wedding. I will always go to Jen for alterations needs. Cannot recommend her and this shop enough for their amazing support and care through this ordeal! Love all of you girls. You guys absolutely rock. I will recommend all of my engaged friends come here for one of a kind dresses and world-class experience. It was only my second shop, and the first shop I went to was during a super packed sample sale and none of the dresses in my size were what I was looking for. They only had one rack in the sale. So needless to say, the first shop was not great... My consultant, Hannah at brilliant bridal was so helpful, and pulled a dress for me from a mannequin that was the first dress I put on- and the one I ended up getting!! Definitely recommend! My dress was $500-600 less than retail, and fit almost perfectly. They helped me to understand the alterations process and what alterations could be done with my dress. (Adding in a little sweetheart neckline, as mine was a little too straight for me). I had the last appointment of the day so I felt rushed at my appointment..in which I hadn't noticed all the imperfections when I had purchased the dress. The girl that helped me said the alterations will be approximately $200. I hadn't noticed any of the imperfections since the dress has been stored away so that my fiance wouldn't see it. Well, yesterday, I took my dress in for alterations.. another $400..missing buttons, frays, and tears along the side. Not only that, day of my appointment, I had gone to use the restroom and overheard 2 of the girls talking about my family members. As soon as they'd seen me, they stopped talking. RUDE. Struggling with the star review because we had both a wonderful experience (as bride) and a disappointing experience (as MOB). We purchased my niece's wedding gown from Brilliant Bridal a few years ago and had a truly fantastic experience from start to finish! So when my daughter was engaged, this was the first place we wanted to check out. It ended up being our second stop of the day, and also where my daughter found her dress, which she is completely in love with. I am thrilled for my daughter and want to give the good feedback first! We had a tight budget and when I called to make the appointment, I did let them know we wanted to look at the clearance gowns. They were certainly respectful of that, I was SO excited about the chance to help pick out gowns for her to try on. In my spare time, I buy/sell evening gowns, so I know my way around a dress and couldn't wait to dig in! They managed to bump up our appt to an earlier time, even though they were pretty full that day. We appreciated that, as trying to get all six of us together to shop was challenging. Warm & welcoming when we arrived, my daughter definitely felt special and attended to. Her consultant sat us all down and asked my daughter questions about her preferences, and asked me about the budget (since I was paying). Things are going good, daughter feeling special, everyone is happy. Here's where we went slightly south from an MOB perspective. She then asks JUST my daughter to follow her into the space to pick out some gowns. I understand not asking all four of the bridesmaids and the MOB to come back, but being the one paying, and having a pretty solid knowledge of brands/etc, I would have appreciated an opportunity to view the dresses with my daughter and see the price tags BEFORE she made appearances in front of exceptionally excited family/friends. I really felt shut out at that moment as MOB. Then, suddenly we are told everyone can come pick something out now. MAD DASH by bridesmaids to the clearance section, no room for me to help or look at anything on the rack. We only had a few moments before they said it was time for her to come out in her first dress. This was a very frustrating experience all the way around. I wanted a moment with her to review potential costs of alterations before she might fall in love with something, and to see the price tags and brands. As it turned out, the very first dress that she tried on was the one she fell in love with! It's one she picked out herself and she couldn't be happier. It was a difficult moment for me, because it's a moment that SHOULD have been happy tears seeing my daughter in a dress and a veil for the first time. But instead, having not seen price tags, I had no idea if I was looking at a dress I could afford. Or not. There never was a private moment where I could take a second to visit with her, just her and I, which I realize was also limited by the size of the party we had with us. The dress WILL require extensive alterations, as she is a zero and the dress is an Italian size 6, and has some complexity to it. It was over budget, but they did work with me a bit, which I appreciated. I never did see the price tag, was only told verbally what the price was - the tag had disappeared. Would have liked a moment to reason on the possibilities of looking in the regular prices for something that had a higher price tag but wouldn't require as much alteration - but the girl was in love with this dress, so there it is! And it really suits her. So hard to figure out what to write. In fairness, they worked us in, gave my daughter a beautiful experience she will always cherish, and all the bridesmaids say they will come back (and they should!). Gowns are exquisite, consultants are very genuinely interested in helping the bride, and the prices are great, even in the section of dresses that are *not* on special. Brides should definitely check this place out. If you are an MOB, make sure to review expectations ahead of the appointment to avoid any disappointments or awkward moments, or missing out on the happy tears. read more

I was so lucky to work with Kendra at my bridal appointment at the Mesa location, and we had a great time trying on dresses. It was my first day of trying on dresses, and Kendra listened to what my vision was for my wedding as well as what I thought would look good on me. After we tried a few of my picks, Kendra was inspired to change my dress silhouette and have me try on some fit and flare dresses. I was amazed at how good I looked and I ended up saying yes to one of Kendra's picks! For my dress alterations, I contacted a few people, but Jennifer (Brilliant Bridal's in house seamstress) and I immediately connected. Jennifer did an AMAZING job on my dress, and she was able to incorporate all of my unique ideas for color into my dress. She was patient and was flexible in working with my tight work schedule. And, I have to say, Jennifer created the most spectacular 20-point multi-layer French bustle for my dress with color coded ribbons!! She even wrote out step-by-step instructions on how to bustle the dress! Jennifer went above and beyond my expectations and helped me make my dress super special. This was the first place that I went to try on wedding dresses and instantly fell in love with the first dress I tried on! Although I tried on plenty, none could compare to the dress is said YES to! They had so many off the rack dresses which was perfect for me because I didn't want to spend a fortune on a dress and Kassidy helped me find my dress that was within my budget!
