Our reservation was for 5:45 and we were a little early and the happily sat us. The dinner specials were on point and we started with the lamb Thones. My husband ordered the softball sirloin steak with Mac and cheese. I ordered the filet mignon with a potato cake and asparagus. We shared a banana split for dessert. The service was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Our server Corey was the best! I have heard so much about this place in the last 3-4 months that I had to try, especially since ribeyes are my favorite. I made a reservation for hubby's birthday and the place was pretty packed on a Friday night. Ambiance is great and they definitely kept the drinks flowing. Heirloom and burrata were light and refreshing. Calamari was light and flavorful. Duck was superb, hubby loved it, ate it all (didn't even get a picture). Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. A friend and I split the duck-fat ribeye and it came out split for us, I love that they were thoughtful enough to do that! I wasn't super impressed with it initially but the next day I reheated it and it was divine since it sat in that duck fat overnight! Sides were good. Yelp asks what went well?? Well...everything went well from the moment I valet parked my car during a busy Thursday evening at SRP ball park, to how quickly I found a seat at the bar, the service from the two very professional bartenders who sparked interesting conversation while providing superb service and the rest of the staff who made my entire meal experience feel like I was watching a well rehearsed ballet. The restaurant was busy but not crowded and had a nice buzz and ambiance about the place, not too loud and not too quiet. My caprese watermelon salad, 16 ounce Duck Fat Delmonico, and chocolate dessert were all excellent and the steak cooked to perfection and accompanied by a tasty vegetable risotto. Sean the manager stopped by to check on me and my experience as well. I will definitely be back and bring my friends. Oh, and when I left to retrieve my car from the valet, they were prompt and courteous, which we need more of this day and age. We are celebrating our 22 year anniversary and the reservation process was a little shaky. I was told I like receive and conformation call and didn't so I called to confirm. Low and behold they didn't have me down however they accommodated us by booking a 7:00pm. Scott was fantastic with the customer service. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and when I didn't enjoy the first cocktail he offered another and was very accommodating. The restaurant is quaint and good for date night. The food is okay. We had the lamb chops for an appetizer and the main course consisted pork chop with a salad and duck. The food was okay but the complimentary champagne was a nice touch. read more

Spoiler alert: The food has no seasoning. I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday. For an appetizer, we had the Korean wings. They were ok, just needed some more seasoning. He had the 40 oz Tomahawk with loaded mashed potatoes and I had the duck with brussel sprouts. The Tomahawk was barely seasoned. It taste like they put the same amount of seasoning you would normally put on a 15 oz steak on a 40 oz steak. They steak should have been cut a little thinner. The mashed potatoes needed more salt. The duck breast was amazing but the leg and thigh was super dry. The brussel sprouts were pretty good. The desert was the best part of the meal. The bourbon caramel sauce on the bread pudding was amazing and the apple pie had the perfect amount of sweetness. Overall, this place is just ok. Came in a year ago underdressed and wasn't impressed. Came in a year later in proper attire and it didn't help. This place is overpriced for the service and food. Two weeks ago I ordered a ribeye and was brought a strip. Then tonight they recognized me and I was sure my meal would be correct so I ordered the same ribeye with béarnaise and the béarnaise never made it to me. This is simple stuff for a low end restaurant to get but this place is over $100 for a single person and the level of attention to detail is non existent. I'm confident they play off the business travelers with per diem but as a local this place is sub par for the price. I've given them multiple chances and each visit in the past year something goes wrong. read more

I was disappointed thoroughly. I ordered the pork chop; it took forever to arrive, it was dry, tough and cooked well done instead of medium. The chopped Caesar salad was NOT chopped, drenched in sauce and was disappointing. We have been needing a nice date night restaurant like this for awhile! One of the best dates we have had in a long time. The food was absolutely delicious, and the ambiance of being right next to SRP park was super cool. The Caesar salad was the best I've ever had-from the crispy prosciutto to the anchovy on top it was divine. The cocktails were great, and the Olivia's martini was an experience in and of itself. The seasonal seafood pasta appetizer was a bit too spicy for me. The steak was cooked to perfection, but next time I'd probably opt to not have it seared. My one complaint would be the service. It took forever for us to get our cocktails and refills on our water. We had to hunt another waiter down to order a second round of cocktails and ask for refills. read more

Walk-ins, chose to sit outside due to no reservation. Quickly seated so I didn't see an issue. Completely ignored after. Sat for 25-26 minutes with a timer running. No one asked for our drinks or even said "we'll be with you shortly". Young gentleman brought us filtered tap water and that was the only service we received. A table sat down after us and received immediate service. I was attempting to take my girlfriend out to a nice place but it appears either my appearance whether due to my tattoos or some other reason we weren't served. If neither of us were to be in there then don't seat us and if the server isn't ready then wait to seat us. I thought this was supposed to be a higher end establishment but it appears one can charge a lot on their menu while lacking class. read more

After speaking to the manager, we decided to try Brinkley's again! We went and sat further from the bar but it didn't matter because the bar that evening was very quiet and it seems like a completely different atmosphere. For the price and ambiance, I think Brinkley's would be best for a nice date night or special occasion. The service was great. I came in on a Sunday at 2 pm when they offer a "small bites" menu. I chose the Korean chicken wings, the U10 scallops, and the crab salmon crudo. The crab salmon crudo was the most memorable dish. The portion size was large and the flavor of the seafood is the highlight. The scallops were ok and the chicken wings were not light and crispy in the way Korean fried chicken usually is. I would imagine the "wow" factor would come from ordering steak or seafood during dinner service. read more

From no enforced dress codes, staff and patrons wearing gym shorts, hoodies, Crock's and flip flops! To having half the place setup like some kind of cheap sports bar? The decor is awful and has no consistency or theme. I'm so disturbed at my experience that I will be very active and vocal about this place and how it has NO BUSINESS taking anyone's money. It's a joke for fine dining. You couldn't even tell the Waygu from any other cuts of meat, and neither can the staff! Whom came out of the kitchen wearing an old red shirt, sweat pants and crocks, guessed her best at what cut of meat was which, then just disappear to the kitchen. Leaving us all bewildered and very unconvinced that she didn't just guess her ass off and run away.... This all is just 100% unacceptable! This is supposed to be FINE dining not a free for all between a sports bar, trailer park, and a gym... Having been to many fine dining restaurants, I can say with certainty that this is the bottom of the barrel experience for insane prices...it's the new low for us from now on. Going forward every restaurant will be compared to Brinkley's cheap house as the lowest hurdle. I really don't think anyone deserves to be ripped off like this. You can eat at multiple nice restaurants all for less than one evening in this expensive dumpster fire. We went all out and spent $1,000. We got the "best" Brinkley's could offer and it was the biggest letdown in fine dining of my life...so far. Let's hope no one is aiming to set the lowest bar in fine dinning. Please eat anywhere but here. If fine dinning was a parody Brinkley's would be the poster child. The only thing that could possibly qualify Brinkley's as fine dining is the prices. I have a laundry list I have created with the help of my friend who manages fine dining restaurants who attended with me. I'll be back to amend this in further detail soon but for now I just wanted to warn everybody this is not fine dining you are wasting hundreds or even thousands of dollars on a completely s*** experience. Brinkley's cheap house. Walked in door,  *host doesn't say hi, just smiles and looks at us until we say we have a a reservation. *Takes us to table, we have one member still incoming.  Host hands me another menu and asks if I can place the menu in the empty spot for the guest we are waiting on.(help do her job) *Host had gym shorts/tank top on. *We had a child at the table and their wine glass wasn't removed immediately, usually proper etiquette and show of attention. *After we ordered appetizers and cocktails, our wine glasses were all removed without being asked if we wanted to order wine as well, or with our entrees (This is a steak house) *The table was too small for 4 people, not enough space to move comfortably or share food.  We had to move our glassware and plates for each course to help the staff set down items. (This is suppose to be fine dining) *We ordered a steak appetizer and had to ask for steak knives...(This is a steak house ) *the appetizer had 4 petite filets and each had very different sauces on top, no staff could explained what the sauces were or what type of meat cut was on the plate. *none of the food we ordered had a story, explanation, or details, except the dessert.(this is suppose to be fine dining, not McDonald's) *we ordered a $435 ribeye flight board.  The board was delivered with 4 identical cuts of steak all pre-sliced and heavily seasoned exactly the same, there was no explanation which steak was which so we had to ask which was the Waygu. *the server did not know anything about the steak, or which steak was which on the board, she had to go find someone that "knew". *the person that came out also took a moment to decipher each steak, and I did not feel confident anyone there actually knew for certain which steak was which. *we didn't ask any other questions during our stay because we didn't think the staff knew answers more than the child at our table could find using a google search. *when asked how things were, I withheld my opinion's and said it was going great.  I realized the standards and organization here was their normal, it was just a ridiculously low bar for fine dining and there was nothing I could say that would change the immense chasm between fine dining and what we experienced. *there was obviously no choreography, no plan, and no etiquette for each step of the dining experience, just simple "A to B mindset." *Overall the food was edible, nothing glaringly off point other than chewy meat.  But for fine dining food there were no elevated ingredients, nothing exciting, and no exceptionally delicious flavors.  Everything seemed simple enough that even novice cooking could recreate the flavors. And if there was a unique ingredient, or local produce or private sourced items, I doubt any staff would know or have shared the information. Positives: Our water was refilled consistently, and the bread pudding dessert was delicious. EDIT: Yelp has a limit. read more

I was going to give this restaurant three stars based upon the taste of the food. But at the end of dinner, I had to downgrade them to one star because they charge you a fee to use a credit card. So here goes Food: Very high-quality meat, and I love the fact that they offer a Wagyu beef. We started off with a Wagyu beef appetizer, which is served with a hot plate in the center of the table, and you can cook it yourself. It melted in your mouth like butter, and it was delicious. We ordered broccoli and cheddar soup, and that was just OK. The salads were large and delicious. As for the entrées, we ordered a New York strip and a ribeye. They asked if we wanted them seared with a 1700° flame, and we agreed. The problem is, there's a fine line between seared, and burnt. Unfortunately, they crossed over into the burned category. It was very bitter, and not very appetizing. We had mashed potatoes, and creamed corn as a side, and they were both delicious. We ordered a apple pie and a banana split for dessert, and it was just OK. Value: the value for what you pay, and what you get, simply isn't there. They price themselves to compete with premium steak houses like Morton's, or Ruth Chris. They are far beneath both of these restaurants when it comes to quality. What's worse, is that they charge you a fee to use a credit card. Our bill was slightly shy of $400. Did they really expect me to pull out a wad of cash to pay the bill? I would expect that from you local plumber or a red neck sports pub, but not a restaurant that charges what Brinkleys does and is trying to compete in the fine dining arena. I get it, you prefer the cash so you can hide the money to avoid taxes, but with high end restaurants, you don't have that luxury. And what's worse, you don't disclose these shady tactics to the customer. You simply add a fee into their already outrageous bill. Shame on you Brinkleys. I won't be going back. read more

My Husband and I wanted to take our Son out to celebrate his 20th birthday. After hearing nice things about Brinkley's Chop House our decision was easy. We arrived at the location and it was just perfect. A nice little quaint restaurant not over populated, or loud, it offered the perfect setting for family time conversation. The restaurant was very nice and it was impeccably clean. The hostess was delightful and the service was impressive. We ordered the Butcher Board LAND & SEA 14 oz Prime Ribeye, NZ lamb rack, 14 oz Prime NY Strip, 6 Grilled Jumbo Shrimp with creamed Spinach and loaded Mashed potatoes with an extra side of creamed corn. It all looked amazing the shrimp were very good the texture and flavor was delightful , the lamb rack as well it was delicious very tasty as were the loaded potatoes a very nice side, as for the prime rib the flavor was just not there and the meat was tough I was quite disappointed and for the Ny Strip as well it definitely needed more fat trimmed I ended up trying to chew pieces of fat that was very un appealing. The creamed spinach had a very nice flavor but I found the spinach to be undercooked to the point it was crunchy. read more

She was very attentive, but not overbearing, she appeared when needed. All 4 of us were pleased with her service. The server from our first visit was just as attentive and courteous. Brinkley's, keep treating your employees with respect and they will keep passing it onto the patrons. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was very nice. Unfortunately my dish didn't live up to the same standard. The plating was beautiful but the duck was highly unseasoned. I asked for a sauce and it did help with the taste. First time going to Brinkley's. Went for my birthday with friends. I was a little apprehensive about going due to past experiences with higher end restaurants not living up to the cost. We were promptly seated according to our reservation time. Our Waiter was very polite and enthusiastic on serving us. He told us the list of specials for the day. He also recommended the Domanico Ribeye if we were not sure what to try. (It was delicious). The appetizers that we choose was Peaches & Cream. It was very good. Side notes the only problem with this appetizer is it only comes with 2 tomatoes slices so if you have 4 people you will have to cut them in half. The group choose NY Strip, Domanico Ribeye, Pork Chop. Everything was delicious. This restaurant restored my faith in spending extra money to go to more upscale restaurant. They charge 3% to use a credit card. We did not see any indication of this additional charge until we received our bill. If one tips 20% and they add 3% that's quite an increase. No way does the restaurant get charged 3% by the credit card company for the volume of business they do. The food was good as was the service but we there are lots of other steak houses. Customers should be informed up front about the additional charge. Note: The chef contacted us and apologized for charging us when we paid with cash and he offered us a complimentary meal which is very much appreciated but we graciously declined. They are apparently reprinting their menus with the add on charge included therein for credit cards and will better educate their wait staff about cash vs credit. While we choose not to visit restaurants that add the extra fees, we respect their right to charge the fee when it's properly communicated. read more

This is something the area needed. A great steakhouse. The steak I had was phenomenal. Cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful. The wine selection and cocktails are pretty vast and good. The key to this place is coming with people who eat meat at the temp you do. So if everyone eats medium or medium rare, then you can get the board and sample several cuts they offer. That would be the best bet. This place looks very nice and can be a nice romantic night out or a night out with friends. The fact that it's attached to the ball park is great ti catch a game afterward. Highly recommend for those who love steak cooked right. read more
