This was after they drew derogatory napkin "artwork" of us that they sent our way, and we made it clear that it was not appreciated. As much as we loved the atmosphere, the fact that we were harassed, and that behavior was encouraged by the staff, had us heading to the door after 45 minutes. This is a GREAT bar!! Lots of regulars combined with a great mix of tourists and beach goers. Families, singles, young and older this place parties, and has been here since 1945!! Cheers meets rock n roll!! They offer live music every night, a great menu, and a full service bar with very talented bar tenders, and an attentive wait staff. The menu offers a little of everything and the food is fresh and delicious!! I had the Shepards Pie and it was amazing! The prices are reasonable and a good time won't break your budget. Big screen TVs are everywhere with sports going all day and night. They also have some tables set up outside too. I'd call this a bucket list bar. It smells like dirty bar the second you walk in. Totally gross, wouldn't order from the kitchen, woman's bathroom has no soap, sanitizer stations in the bar were empty. When I asked for soap I got a very blasé response. The women serving you do not wash their hands apparently. My husband loves authentic Irish pubs and when we walked in we felt like we were transported to another country! The decor, the atmosphere, the lighting. It was all so unique and screamed, "Ello Govena" My husband drank an Irish ale and I just had a whiskey coke. Prices were cheap for the area. I came here for dinner with my neighbors and I didn't even know that food was served here! I just thought it was a dive bar! The food here was absolutely delicious. I ordered one of the specials of the day which was a salmon salad and it was delicious. My neighbors ordered the dolphin fingers and a burger. I tried the dolphin fingers by high request and that's definitely what I'll be ordering next time. I either have a much higher tolerance to alcohol than I thought, or ordered the wrong drink (but they didn't have mojitos), or went on an off day but of l the two rummy drinks I ordered and paid $7 each none gave me the slightest buzz. It could have used a little more sauce though. Being on Memorial Weekend staycation, I figured I'd enjoy my chicken sandwich with a mojito. Unfortunately they didn't have it, or a rum old fashioned (though they claimed to have a full bar, just not mojitos). I figured I'd at least settle for a Pina colada. What a wonderful most delightful surprise this place was. From the outside, I didn't expect much as the building façade appears disheveled, the door hanging partly open with a less than clean window pane. However, upon entering I was immediately taken by what is one of the largest bars in the area, having good bar stools with backs on them. The décor didn't seem to be Irish Pub décor at all, but instead with nautical items hanging all over the place as well as festooning the walls. It has a great selection of draft beers and ales. My service was sharp, friendly, and exceptionally good. They have a nice daily lunch menu as well as a dinner or meal menu. I had the dolphin as the locals here refer to it, which is the same as the Mahi Mahi served in the more expensive restaurants...I think they use the Mahi name in an attempt to merely justify a higher price, with an excellent tapas topping. It came perfectly prepared and, though I generally prefer my fish done very simple with mere lemon and dill, this topping was exceptional in every detail. It came with a fairly decent salad and a big heap of rice. This is about the same fish dish I would get at Bonefish but pay three times as much. Here, it was only $13.95, which is a good deal. I always love trying new places when I'm traveling. I asked my driver to drop me off at the beach, and he stopped right in front of Briny Irish Pub. After a nice walk on the beach, I headed back and figured I might as well give it a try.. it looked decent, had some pretty good reviews, and had beer. Since it was open seating, I grabbed a table towards the back of the place. Our server came over immediately and took our drink orders and gave us time to look over the menu. I asked what the fish sandwich special was, and was super excited when she told me it was Mahi Mahi. I ordered it and asked for her recommendation on how to have it.. blackened or grilled. I went with her suggestion of having it lightly blackened, which was definitely the way to go.The sandwich came open faced on a bun that was way too small for it, so I focused on the fish and ignored the bun. Absolutely delicious. Even though they have more than one location, this was definately a locals kind of place where you can get great food at a decent price.. and it's right by the beach! read more

This was the only place open for food on the block on Christmas day. I've never had good pub food so my expectations were low, but the food turned out amazing! My parents and I were very impressed. We ordered the grilled tilapia sandwich, Angus burger, and a Mediterranean salad. The Angus burger was juicy with flavor. The Mediterranean salad had very freshly cut vegetables on it and the accompanying dressing was refreshing. The grilled tilapia sandwich was cooked perfectly and not dry at all. The tilapia and burger came with a side of fries which were right off the fryer and extremely crunchy! I ate every last one. The coleslaw was fresh as well (usually they're kinda gross looking in most places or don't taste that good because it's old). The service and food was a bit slow but probably because it was packed with it being the only place by the beach that was open. Our waitress was kind. Excellent place to eat with fabulous service. We came during a busy time and were a crowd of six. There wasn't an open table big enough for our party. The manger/owner?? Had some big dude carry out a table from the back to put together with another open table to make room for us. The waitress was soo nice and personable we felt like a guest in her home. It did take a bit to get our food but considering this wasn't a fast food restaurant and we came during a busy time it was acceptable and totally worth waiting for. The food was EXCELLENT!!! Local pubs can be petty bad, and sometimes a little better than that. But it's hard to find a solid bar right along A1A. Briny's is better than most. It is popular with locals, and I would guess that tourists find it to be pretty good too. The bars keeps are plenty friendly, as is th crowd. Often there is love music set up in the back of the bar. Decent acts, and not so loud that it overwhelms the possibility for conversation as well Drinks are priced right. And they make a good margarita. It seems like you can say that about just about any place on the beach though right? It has a low ceiling compared to newer pubs and had a ton of odds and ends strung up so if your claustrophobic it can feel smaller than it is. But that is probably one of the only negatives. That and the lack of large windows to let in the outside light. There isn't a better local bar type place within many miles so if in the area this is the place you want to stop in at read more

Outstanding British Pub on the corner of a main location. Good location. I was wandering around and couldn't find anything decent to have a beer with some grub. Saw the sushi place next door, but thought perhaps sushi in FL is nothing like sushi on the west coast. Saw the pub and a lightbulb flashed because as soon as I saw the menu, haaa a corned beef Reuben would hit the spot! Man, that Reuben had thick slabs of corned beef!!! Not much gristle! Washed down with a cold Blue Moon. The only negative about the beer selection was only 1 IPA. Meh I'd rather pass on Goose Island IPA. They should try investing in a couple IPAs. But hey it was a good visit. Staff was cool. I guess maybe I hit it at a good time because I can see this place being packed wall-to-wall, and thus, my experience wouldn't have been as great.
