Located in Charlotte Airport this is one of the places that didn't have a line so I decided to go for it. I really just wanted a Chai tea latte because it was the cheapest one in the airport but they were unfortunately out of it. My pet peeve is getting to the register and employees are having a conversation and don't break their convo to acknowledge they have a customer. They were talking about a previous customer and had a whole conversation before acknowledging I was there. When I asked for white chocolate mocha the cashier got an attitude because she apparently was tired of making drinks, and she had a line earlier and basically complaining she had to work. The drink was okay for what it was. Expensive it's in an airport and I needed a fix. I chose to get a bagel from elsewhere because the food on display didn't look to appetizering to me. read more

It was a disappointing visit at 8am on a weekday. I was looking for a bakery item, such as a pastry or sweet brioche. There weren't any displayed. All they had displayed were premade sandwiches. I asked one of the staff members if they have any chocolate croissants. She went to the back to get the croissant for me. They have cold brew coffee. I don't recommend it. It was like drinking coffee infused water. The chocolate croissant was dry and tasteless. The service was average. It could have been a much better visit had all the bakery items been displayed. Honestly, I didn't know that they had other items in the back. I found out later that the online menu has Viennese specialties and desserts. I didn't see any of them. It just looked like a sandwich shop. I'm just guessing by the higher rated reviews that their sandwiches are delicious. Stick with the sandwiches, and maybe you'll have a better experience. This place was fully staffed with a short wait. The images of the sandwiches drew me in to try this place. They have them sitting on display in a glass case. The turkey with Swiss on cranberry was yummy. My sandwich was toasted. Of course the prices are outrageously over priced, but what do you do when your hungry or hangry and you have been delayed?! I chose this location because I wanted a good cup of coffee and snack to go with it. So...way better than I expected. I got the Turkey and Brie sandwich, and when I saw it pre-made in the case and then popped in to heat it up, I was not optimistic. Fortunately I was wrong. It was FAR BETTER than I thought it would be, with a great combination of turkey, very fresh apples, and just the right amount of brie. We grabbed the sandwich and a container of chips and hummus for my wife and blasted onto our awaiting plane, so we were happy with the fast service as well. My volunteer "job" requires me to fly during the pandemic, so I am writing this review in light of the fact that there are few restaurants, and even fewer coffee shops open in airports right now. Yelp is more important than even when trying to find a decent place to eat, stay, or visit given the few choices out there. Now, on to the review: I only had a few minutes between planes at the Charlotte Airport, which is one of my favorites. I was looking for a sandwich and a coffee before my next flight. I found Brioche Doree on the way and entered the back of the line. The first thing I noticed is that there were 3 people "working" and only one was actually working. One of the other two appeared to be texting on her phone while the other one was just standing in the back. I could see that the other patrons were not happy with the wait. Finally, after being told by the one person actually working to start taking orders, the young lady finished her text, put on gloves, and started taking orders. All of the sandwiches are pre-made and are on display. I suspect they are made off-site. This arrangement is nice as you see what you get, but also, that's all you get as there are no sandwiches made to order. When I reached the order counter I selected the turkey & swiss on a cranberry roll. I was asked if I wanted it toasted, and I replied "no". I guess she knew better as she toasted the sandwich anyway. I can tell you that she was absolutely right about that. I also wanted a coffee as the airport I came from, Birmingham, had none except cold brew at Chick-fil-A. As for pricing, I found it surprisingly reasonable for airport food. $8.99 for the sandwich and $2.59 for a large coffee. Both the coffee and sandwich were extremely good. The "no toasting" toasting superbly melted the swiss cheese and heated up the turkey. I got the dark roast coffee which was easily comparable to Dunkin dark roast. If Brioche Dorée somehow fixes their staffing problem, it would rate much higher as the food and coffee clearly deserve better service. read more

I wanted to grab something for lunch for my flight. I wasn't quite hungry at the time, so I thought a sandwich would be good for when I was in flight. I stopped by Brioche right before noon, and didn't see much selection. So I decided to walk around the area quickly for any other options. Nothing really got my attention and I decided to head back to Brioche to see if they had maybe added some more items for the lunch time. Sure enough, nothing else. I think there were maybe 3 sandwich choices - 2 being salad sandwiches, a flat pizza, quiches, and some croissants. So I went with the spinach croissant. Even if you're not in E, if you have the time, this is well worth the walk which does have a bunch of slidewalks to help you along. Terrific pastries and delicious looking sandwiches that will completely destroy any carb free diet that you might be considering. feeling savory? Try the spinach and feta croissant. I HATE airport food, but this place is alright in my books. I was hungry and needed something quick. The line at BK was way too long, so I came here. They had a decent variety (for 9:30 pm) of pre-made sandwiches to choose from. All of them sounded tasty, including a turkey BLT, chicken salad, etc. but I went with the chicken and artichoke. You have the option for them to toast your sandwich, we I did and walked away paying under $10 for an airport dinner. That's called winning in my book. All in all, I was in line under eight minutes including all while having my sandwich toasted and paying. My sandwich was darn good for airport food. I loved the flavoring and everything tasted super fresh, especially the chicken. Again, shocking at an airport. At a normal deli, you would expect to pay $6-$8 for a sandwich like this, so it's a pretty good deal. If you find yourself in the Charlotte airport, I recommend you stop by. read more

The food is pretty good, considering it's overpriced airport food. I enjoy the sandwiches. However the people handling the food are not wearing masks, at all, not even pretending to wear masks by having them as chin straps. Blatantly no masks on their face or ears or anywhere near them. Barry leans over the food and talks to you, spreading his spittle, and then serves you food. People in front of me in line were so disgusted by this they got out of line and went to Burger King instead. I was crunched for time so I didn't have this luxury, but ended up opting for a prepacked item. The people in the back were also not wearing masks. You'd see them peek their heads out of the open door every minute or so and no masks anywhere near their bodies. I fly AA a lot, and through Charlotte all the time. This was my favorite spot. But at least Burger Long is right next door and they were wearing a masks. read more

There weren't too many choices on E Concourse. In this area it was Biroche Doree or one of two chain fast food restaurants. I think I made the better choice. It was just after noon and the sandwich case was picked over and I didn't have time to see if they were restocking. My go to would have been the chicken salad but there was one left and I had no idea how long it had been sitting. My second pick was a sort of spinach feta turnover which turned out to be the right choice. Flakey crust and delicious filling. Well, it's airport food. But if you happen to find yourself in the E concourse, it's a good place to grab a quick bite. I've ordered their spinach and feta croissant and loved it. It's of course overpriced but that's expected. They have a lot of grab and go options and both times I've been to them, the staff has been really friendly. They do offer actual meals like sandwiches and flat bread pizzas as well as a large variety of pastries but I've only tried their croissant. The rest of the stuff looks good so I'd consider dropping by again if I find myself on another layover in CLT. read more

This is a really nice kiosk to purchase higher end bakery items and sandwiches. I ordered a Turkey and Brie sandwich, which really hit the spot since I was in great need for a quick pick me up on my way to Greensboro. They also have a large selection of pastry items, which I would want to try if I ever came back. Its a bit on the expensive side, which is expected, but I felt that the quality of the Turkey and Brie did not justify the price. The Turkey was quite salty and the brie tasted like cheap restaurant brie. Still, it was a good sandwich, if a bit too expensive. Even the fresh fruit was over expensive. I don't think there is any justification for any of it. The service was good, no complaints here. The food was good. I would probably come here again regardless, but to tell you the truth, there are likely more affordable and better options out there. read more

For airport food, it is good- but she blatantly yelled out told me I didn't have enough money on my card after "the system messed up" and I have more than enough. I am giving this a 2 1/2 star review. I had the Egg & Caramelized Onion Croissant for breakfast and it was not good. After I ate it, it immediately made my stomach hurt due to the access grease. I chose this place because I didn't want a greasy burger from Burger King & still got IBS. If you have other options get something simple like a bagel & coffee from here but not the croissants. I originally chose this place over the Starbucks across the way simply because that Starbucks oddly does not have a microwave. In search of a warm pastry, I visited this place instead and I haven't turned back. All of the food I've had here has been amazing - the pizzas, the pastries...If I'm in Concourse E, this is where I'll be. To echo others; the spinach and feta croissant is great!! It's a good alternative to Starbucks breakfast. They have egg,cheese, and ham croissant sandwiches, bagels, and this delicious power pretzel (cheese, spinach, and roasted tomatoes). They have coffee and espresso drinks as well. read more
