Really just an enclosed seating area, not quite a "lounge"....yes, I know...I'm about to spend 7+ hours in reasonable comfort on a BA business class flight to London and I'm griping about the lounge. It spurs a touch of self-loathing at the arrogance but my biz-class narcissism kicks in and I can write this review. I think BA is either oblivious to service or, perhaps, the lounge is an elaborate attempt to prepare us for the out-dated 747 we're about to board to London. In contrast it will seem luxurious and modern compared to the lounge. Whatever the reason, this lounge lives ups to British Airways' goal of mediocrity. I can certainly find better service but not at the premium price I enjoy on BA. Our pre-flight "buffet" begins with chilled eggs and iced baked beans. I was lucky to be there early as the chef pulled the plastic wrap off a new tray of eggs and i could grab some before they warmed up too much. I don't eat bacon but it certainly looked inviting as a breakfast accompaniment or a means of cooling off the hottest coffee. There's also a secret door in the lounge. People are led there by staff and told of a nirvana that includes Chef-prepared hot breakfast and eggs made to order. Sounds like they've discovered fire on that side of the door and a means of warming that, like Tesla is to electric vehicles and Uber is to rides sharing, may migrate from that magical room to the BA lounge someday in the future. I gave the lounge 2-stars as a tip of the hat to the consistent temperature maintained across all the food and coffee and for having WiFi. The staff is also very polite and deserve a shout-out. High class problems here and this review offered in the spirit of humor....come on...if you're reading this will you really complain that your business class lounge experience was terrible? Even my lofty notion of self can take all this with a grain of salt. If the lounge had salt and pepper available......

Self service bar! Great idea. Did down in front of the chilled bottles and keep drinking.

Sure beats the frumpy United lounge! Bravo Big space great food options on the buffet even a lot of vegan and vegetarian choices. I'm impressed. The homemade potato chips are awesome. But nothing beats the self serve beverage display. I enjoy the fact that the bar stools are right next to it Better not miss my flight!

Love the assortment of breakfast items here. My fam and I got in with ANA. It's our first time here but it def beats the other lounges in this terminal.

    Wine. Nuts. Other liquor...free :-)

What is there to complain about when free food and alcohol is for the taking anytime you want? Well, I'm going to be slightly unfair and snobby for this review. It's unfair because Yelp doesn't have a Hong Kong/Taipei division for me to write about how awesome airline lounges are there. This review is going to seem snobby because most people don't travel to Hong Kong/Taipei twice a year to enjoy lounges. Food: there are instant noodles that you could add your own hot water to, cookies, and sandwiches available here. Unfortunately, the cheese and crackers platter disappeared a year ago. There's plenty to drink though: red and white wine along with various beers along with a tap. This place is hard liquor heaven! However, this lounge does not even come close to other lounges in Asia. There's no dim sum station, full service bar, noodle station, coffee house, etc. *Sigh*. Service: the staff here is quite responsive to your needs if you ask for help. Again, not even close to the way I'm treated in HKG and TPE. Decor: the place is big, but again, Cathay Pacific can do better. In fact, it has! The airline needs to operate its own lounge at JFK or teach British Airways a thing or two about what the lounging experience should be.

Classy with a nice selection of drinks and light food. The selection for both is overall small though. The lounge is very close to the gate, which is a great feature to enjoy a light meal or a drink until the last minute before your boarding time. The only thing I didn't like is the fact that the lounge looks outdated. It could be the low ceiling or colors, but it sure feels like am living the 1970s. All I need is to run not Austin Powers.

    A few from many choices

wow.. this lounge is one of the best in terms of food options. If you hold a business ticket, you can go to the backside of the lounge where pre-boarding menu is available. Here you can get buffet. I think regular lounge offers hot dishes too after 5pm but i didn't have time to try it. I highly recommend taking food here prior to boarding because BA food isn't that great. Space is big enough but due to back-to-back flight schedule after 6:30pm till about 9 pm, it gets crowded.

This review is for the Galleries lounge of British Airways in JFK terminal 7, which CX use for their flights from this airport. I'm not sure what one should expect from airline lounges though I can only compare this one to other CX lounges I've used in Hong Kong, LAX, and the rest of Asia Pacific. If you are into drinking alcohol, you would be happy with what's being offered, other than that there really isn't much anything else. Snacks available are cup noodles, the one you add hot water into, potato chips, some cookies, finger sandwiches, fruits, and some packaged pastries (not even fresh baked!!!), that's it. As one of the reviewers indicated, this lounge doesn't even come close to CX's Hong Kong lounges. I know CX main hub is Hong Kong and that is expected but JFK is one of the major airports in the east coast and one would expect more it being in NY. Sad.

It's the first time that I ever venture into a capital one lounge. Staff at from desk gave an overview and the lay of the lounge. As you walked in after checking in there were nice comfortable chairs. The ambiance and decor is really inviting. Walked to the Bodega station and ordered a Swiss and Pastrami on a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel. Then I saw staff making coffee. I placed an order for a cappuccino, she said you have to place order where you were for the food. Mentioned first time, so she said no problem and she made the cappuccino as I waited. Had no idea when the bagel was going to be ready, so I went to find a place to sit and place my luggage.. Staff said Swiss and Pastrami on Cinnamon Bagel. I went to get item. In the Bodega you can get wrap and bagel sandwiches to go and pack to go items. On all the tables there were QR code where you scan and place an order. I decided to check out the buffet area. There were items that you pick up and put in tray and take to table. The Brussel sprout and deviled egg were delicious. The croissant with crème filling was addicting. There were bags where you can put sweets to go. If you flying Delta, make sure you pack and order stuff to go. Delta only serve beverage and chips/cookie... even if your flight is 6 hours. Restrooms spacious and clean. It was hard to find this place. After security, The Capital One Lounge is before Gate B 20. So if you pass Gate B20 then you passed the Capital One Lounge. So make sure you give ample time to get to your gate leaving the lounge. The gate where my flight was at Gate B53 so it's a good 20 minute walk. Lots of staff coming over to remove empty trays as well as clean tables. Look forward to checking out other Capital One Lounges.

You can debate the nuances of each-- Centurion's food is better, Capital One's is larger and has a cheese monger, Ess a Bagel, and better cocktails. But compared to the sort of lounges that don't have their own bathrooms and offer nothing more than some bananas and cereal, you really could do worse. The Sapphire lounge in LGA is larger and prettier, but they pretty much offer the same amenities. The bathrooms have been clean every time I've visited, save for one time. The menu isn't vast but there's a little buffet station with fresh fruit and hot food, as well as a made to order menu with full sized portions. Sometimes the food has been quick, and other times it has taken a while, so you really should give yourself some buffer time if you're trying to get something from the made to order menu. The food is fine. I've visited enough times to say that the folks who work here have been so warm and nice each time, checking in and asking guests how they're doing. Garbage is cleaned up immediately, so it's a pretty well oiled machine in there. You can bring up to 2 guests and any additional guests cost just $27 more, which I'd say it's worth it, particularly if you have a long layover and will have a couple of drinks.

Pros: Services are far superior than many A1 lounges that I have been to unless you're flying La Premiere by Air France. Other than that it was way better than Emirates itself and I an Emirates Platinum Member I must admit this. The decor feels like vintage dinner with a modern touch, it's almost like old Hollywood glamour. Many dishes are made a la carte, a true definition of fine dining. Several Chefs and Sous Chef are eager to cook you whatever you want with a smile. There are several seating areas that you can use to enjoy your delicious 5 course meals and drinks. Who can forget the quiet room with several 0 gravity chairs for a relaxing massage before your flight. Everyone was beyond polite and attentive. Honestly, this lounge makes both the AMEX & regular DL lounges feel very basic. I was pleasantly surprised. The experience is far better & above what you will experience in the cabin. Once you come you will have no desire to leave. It's therapeutic & magical. There's something for everyone there. Most importantly it's never as crowded as the regular lounge. Cons: Although everyone is super friendly and attentive. It almost feels like disingenuous & rehearsed. Everyone is repeating the same lines as if they were told what to say which caused me to question and or doubt that they really felt that way. This experience never gets old, it's like adrenaline rushing through your veins, it takes you so high that every time you get on the actual flight DL one cabin, you feel a sense of disappointment. Overall, I never want my flight to be canceled delayed so badly when I am in this lounge. The attention to detail is world class and mastered by the most hardworking patrons. It's truly the 4 seasons of ALL US Airlines lounges. Just when I thought they couldn't compete with Emirates and/or Qatar, DL one lounge surpasses them. It's the only reason why I never regretted paying premium for DL one seat. I just wish that level of service continues in the cabin.

After that things fell apart a bit, with the server bringing one of us the wrong starter followed by a long wait for the correct one. Wine service also largely disappeared, though there were plenty of places outside the restaurant to get drinks. The food on the buffet looked and sounded delicious but suffered from sitting out too long. The food was certainly a step way up from the usual Delta Lounge, but I would in no way compare it to a good fine dining restaurant on the outside. Highlights were the massage chairs and facials. The process for signing up is confusing and the wait can be long if you come at the wrong time, but if you have enough time it's definitely worth it. Other than that, it was reminiscent of a Centurion Lounge - spacious but crowded, with a decent food and drink selection. Nice for an airport lounge, but still an airport lounge.

As soon as I sat down at a table staff came over and asked if I'd like any drinks to start. When I mentioned cucumber seltzer they brought it out with a glass of ice right away. Their venison burger was tasty and filling with fresh tomato, lettuce, cheese, pickles and a brioche bun. The fries that came with it were the chunky kind and more wedge-like, not very crispy, though I was hungry and polished off about half of them with ketchup. Duck tostada was a nice (several) bite(s), a little muddled in flavor though ingredients were fresh and I enjoyed the crispy tortilla crunch. Of course I had to get a dark chocolate pistachio cookie to go too! To correct some misinformation from recent reviews want to mention that this lounge has limited hours for Priority Pass from 5:00am-13:30pm, however full hours are until 23:30pm for balance travelers. Most of my stops here are usually in the afternoon/early evening on weekdays, I haven't seen it very packed, with exception of maybe once or twice. Also haven't tried their breakfast menu so can't comment on that. The perimeter of the lounge contains a variety of seating types, while the middle contains more seating plus the main food station. The layout is a little confusing, but from what I got it seems to be a big circle...maybe? The setting is pretty nice - seats are comfortable with outlets in convenient locations to juice up.
