It's been a while since I visited Brix Taphouse. It's on my weekly rotation of lunch spots with my bff but falls off during the peak summer months. We returned today to find the Monday Special was chicken Tenders and fries for $10.00. After enjoying a few drinks we dug into a basket full of 6 hand dipped fried chicken tenders and a side of parm fries. Everything was delicious and the staff so attentive!

Great place to watch sports. Many TV's and the sound was on for the Super Bowl. Servers were friendly and attentive. Wide variety of food choices- loved the nachos with beef. Outdoor patio has TV's and heat lamps- comfy!

THE place to watch Jags game in Jax Beach! This is my go to place when I want to go to a place with high energy and bustling with people on game day. Lots of TVs, great service, good food. Found their truffle fries to taste very strong so I'll stick with their normal fries next time. My husband loves their ribeye deal. We'll see ya there when the Jags go to the superbowl!

Used to be a regular here pre-kids, but haven't been in quite some time. It was a beautiful day so a group of 4 of us went and sat outside on the patio. It was fairly busy but got a table right away. The initial service was a little slow but then a rotation of servers was coming around fairly frequently. We ordered Southwest egg rolls (one of my faves) to snack on, but they didn't quite hit the spot this time as they were over-cooked. They have a full bar so something for everyone. Had a fair amount of beer on draft but would like to see more local beers on the menu. All in all, I enjoy this place for the atmosphere the most and appreciated being able to sit on the patio with a beer in the nice weather! Side note: Parking--we were able to get a spot in their lot. You pay the parking attendant $20 and they give you a ticket for $20 off your tab.

Came here for dinner with my friend and it also happened to be trivia night (Wednesdays). They have $7 burgers and fries as well, which was super yummy! The trivia was fun and the guy hosting it is great and personable. Our waitress was also so nice and friendly. So much fun!

Giid service. Happy staff. Grest spot for a larger party. Every day specials for happy hour and a decent bar food menu.

A full house yes! But everyone getting serviced but the people of color.

Acknowledge every customer. After watching every server in the building walk past me for 13 mins, we finally got one to make eye contact and take one person in my party's order. He never acknowledged the other person and we had to flag'em down to get place a second order placed. What a disappointment. Food came out fast though!

I was heading to the beach this afternoon and was able to get a parking spot near this restaurant so I decided to give it a try for lunch. In addition to their regular menu, they also have a brunch menu with plenty of breakfast items. The regular menu has several appetizers, salads, tacos, entrees and sandwiches. I opted for the chef salad and it was really good. I decided to sit outside on their patio becauae it was a beautiful day. They also have ten tvs outside so it would be a good place to watch a game. Plenty of people were drinking, so the prices must be pretty good. Service was quick and helpful from all wait staff.

This looks like a great place to hang out if you are local. The food is ok but not the greatest but it is a bar. Had higher hopes for this place. The service started out great but when we got our food we sat for 20 min and had to get the attention of not our server/ bartender we got what we needed. It's not like that are busy at all. It's crazy that you just sit @ the bar and are ignored. Won't make a 2nd trip back here. If you are in a regular dinner night don't come here. They don't give AF!

    This strawberry mule was delish!

This is one my fave spots near the beach!! I been coming here for almost 10 years and the food and service is consistently good! Everytime we come here we clean our plates and it's just always a good time! They have indoor and outdoor screens and it's situated perfectly near Jax beach. I enjoy their shrimp nachos, their ribeye steak wow! The best bartenders and they make their drinks like a drink should be made! Thank you Santi!!

Hated it here. Walked in Monday night to watch MNF, have some drinks and food. The place was empty, and we still couldn't get service, and we were sitting right at the bar. Once the server did come over she was so unapproachable! No greeting, no here's our specials nothing. She was too busy kekeing end of bar which I can only assume was a regular. I tried to over look it and we ordered a drink. She couldn't even drop our drinks off with a smile, the ambiance was also cold and uninviting for us. Needless to say we chugged the drink and left!!!

I love Brix! I have been here probably 4 times and the food is always good. They have different food deals everyday as well as a daily happy hour. The service is just ok but I enjoy the vibes and location. Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating but it does get busy so be mindful of that.

I used to absolutely love this place. It was our go-to for seafood, celebrations, family dinners,…read moreand special occasions for years. We recommended it constantly and genuinely enjoyed supporting them. Unfortunately, after our last few experiences, that loyalty is completely gone. The problems really started during a dinner visit with my spouse. We had a reservation for two and specifically requested a booth because my spouse has herniated discs and booths are much easier on her back. The hostess with glasses told us there were "no booths available for parties of two," so we were seated at a tiny two-top directly in front of an empty booth. Minutes later, another couple - who apparently didn't even have the correct downstairs reservation because Wheel House was closed for a private event - was seated in that exact booth instead. When I politely questioned it, I was told they were "accommodating them." Interesting, because apparently accommodating a medical issue for customers with a reservation didn't matter. Still, we decided to give the restaurant another chance for Mother's Day. To their credit, we were seated at a booth this time after I both noted it in the reservation and called ahead to confirm it. Our waiter was someone we immediately recognized from a previous visit, and my parents mentioned he had waited on us before at that same table. Somehow, from that comment alone, he became convinced we were related to Chef Tim Tillus. From there, things got bizarre. He kept talking about "Timmy," mentioning reunions and saying he used to live with him. The restaurant was extremely loud, and my father had forgotten his hearing aids that day, so honestly we could barely understand what he was talking about. We just smiled politely and focused on asking about the menu because we truly had no clue where the conversation was going. Eventually, he came back and realized we were NOT Chef Tim Tillus' family. He then explained that the kitchen staff had apparently been laughing because the chef saw us and said, "That's not my family." So somehow this became a whole ordeal in the kitchen over a completely innocent misunderstanding. We laughed awkwardly because what else do you do at that point? But honestly, the whole interaction felt strange and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the food was even worse than the awkward service. My spouse ordered the all-day seafood soup, and somehow there was basically ZERO seafood in it. That alone was shocking because their soups used to be incredible. My father ordered the broiled platter, and the portion size was honestly embarrassing for a $29 dish. His parsley potatoes consisted of literally five tiny cubes - my mother counted them because we were in disbelief. We have eaten here for years and NEVER saw portions this small. I ordered the fish special, and it was nothing like described. It was supposed to have pecans and blackening seasoning. There were no pecans, no blackening seasoning, and the fish itself was dry, bland, overcooked, and flavorless. For $32, I was served what looked like a tiny sad pile of fish in the middle of a giant empty plate. The pork chop looked beautiful but tasted absolutely awful. At this point I honestly don't know if the kitchen quality has completely collapsed or if nobody is checking food before it leaves the line anymore. Either way, it was terrible. My mother ordered scallops on the half shell as her meal - something she has enjoyed there many times before. This time, the scallops were tiny and somehow greasy. It was shocking these dishes were even leaving the kitchen. What makes this so disappointing is that we truly loved this restaurant. We weren't casual customers. We supported this place for years because we believed the food and experience were worth it. This wasn't just a mediocre meal or an "off night." This was a genuinely terrible dining experience from start to finish, made worse by the fact that it happened on Mother's Day. The service felt awkward and disorganized, the portions were insulting, the food quality was awful, and there seemed to be zero quality control happening anywhere. At this point, our money will be supporting other establishments instead. It's honestly sad because this place USED to be special. I sincerely hope management fixes the kitchen, consistency, and overall professionalism before even more longtime customers walk away.

Both were amazinggggg but the best was the Brussels sprouts. I always thought I didn't like them but after eating these I found out I do! That sauce is amazing. For my entree, I got the chimichurri steak. It had great flavor, but was a little cold. I guess I didn't get any pics of dessert because it was just that good but we got the sticky toffee cake and I'm still dreaming about it!! So delicious!! Our waiter, Jonathan, was so sweet, and already split the items we split on the bill for our group like dessert without us asking and very knowledgeable of the menu especially different wines. We were able to choose if we wanted to be seated outside or inside so that was nice as well. We chose to be seated outside upstairs. It was a chill night, not crowded at the top so everyone was able to just talk and we didnt have to yell to hear one another. For drinks, we ordered a few. We had the V.I.P. Old-Fashioned, Paper Planes, and a watermelon based drink. Each one was tasty but the Paper Plane would be my least favorite. We had the shrimp Diablo for the appetizer. This is definitely a must get. Everything blended well together and the flavors were just really good. For food we ordered the hanger steak, a ribeye, risotto, mashed potatoes and the crab macaroni and cheese. The ribeye has more flavor than the hanger but the hanger was still good. The risotto and the mashed potatoes were very flavorful and just comforting to eat. The crab macaroni and cheese was my least favorite. Next, I have to come in Gloria, our server. She is a true gem! What a loving, caring, sweet personality and you can tell. She truly loves her job by her demonstrated actions. She truly made us feel as if we were the most important customer, however, listening to her with other tables they got the same level of personalized treatment as we did. Gloria is a true role model for the other team to adhere! Now let's talk about Erica the kitchen manager, she came out to greet us because we had a special request. Her customer centered skills were beyond reproach! She takes great pride in her kitchen and I have to say "her" kitchen because she owns the kitchen, the good and the bad. She is a true professional, who you can tell by her actions loves what she does. The food, what a tremendous difference this visit was compared to the last period. The pancakes were cooked to perfection and the scrambled eggs couldn't ask for anything better. Glorious suggested the cheese grits (I can only eat grits when they're very thick) and these grits were outstanding! They made my three eggs to order and they truly did a great job in the kitchen. The pancakes well, let's just say they were phenomenal. Overall, this was such a great experience.
