Mid-day Monday (today), I thought the place was dirty. I stopped in after my appointment and had a beer. My glass smelled funny, like sour dirt, and the keg lines needed to be flushed on the kegs. Too yeasty and smelly makes the beer taste bad. The place needs a good Scrubb 'in! Additionally, the bar girls need to elevate their performance, and management should establish a clear dress code. So, clean up the bar, flush the keg lines, train the staff, and enforce the dress code. read more

Love Dominik as our server! We went there for brunch and sat outside. They have umbrellas, as I'm as fair skinned as they come, so it was nice to enjoy outside without burning my skin off. Pets are allowed outside on the patio so we ordered endless mimosas (a weekend brunch thing) and we got to drink them while chatting with dog owners. Our server as mentioned above was amazing and came by the table every time with a bottle of champagne to top us off! We also ordered ALL the juices but I will say the pineapple was my fav. I had the breakfast tacos with steak which is good. I will say I don't think they use fresh eggs in the tacos but the meat was good and the queso was a good addition. I guess this would be a good spot to have a few beers and watch some sports on the multiple TVs but the food is mediocre. I ordered the 'heath nut salad' and added salmon, but came with mahi and Romain lettuce when it's supposed to be spring mix. Told bartender of error and mentioned about not being spring mix and said they were out of spring mix. When the re-order 'with salmon' finally came it tasted a little fishy, which to me meant it wasn't fresh. Will not plan return unless it's for a couple drinks. read more

My friends and I decided to meet for lunch drinks and food. We sat on the outside patio at the bar. Everything was clean and the bartender was very cordial and respectful. We had cold High Noons. When she finally showed and we explained we were regulars and how slow the service was, her response was the navy was in town and they only had 4 servers. Last time going unless Dayton is there. Service didn't exist. Had to find someone to take my order. Took 15 minutes to find someone then another 15 minutes for the drinks to show up and they were wrong including missing one of the drinks we ordered. I then asked for the manager who came over in another 15 minutes and basically said a navy ship came in and we're overwhelmed. No apologies, no let me pay for your drinks when we told her we were leaving, etc. A good manager would've waived the drinks and apologized and had some level of personality. The inside of the bar wasn't even packed. We are locals who eat here a lot. That's coming to an end. This is the second time Service has really stunk! Zero stars. read more

First and foremost this place is a sports bar, if that's what you are looking for, great, but it was not our vibe. TVs are everywhere! Oddly enough it seemed they excelled more at the healthier meals than traditional bar food. I would not recommend the Patty Melt, there was not enough thousand island and the patty was too thick for a traditional Patty Melt. Two of the other meals at our table were both fish, one with salad and one with rice & veggies both of those meals were wonderful with large and high quality fillets of fish! I came out here last night for my friend's birthday. It was her 13th anniversary of her 21st birthday. Lol. It was my first time here. I heard it was really packed in there, and sure enough, it was. This was a nice change from the somewhat empty venues I been frequenting since I started clubbing again. I guess this is where a lot of people end up on Saturday, at the beaches. There was always a line outside of Brix everytime I passed by it before. I was always discouraged before, but it really didn't take long. Also, there is No Cover here (at least not at the time I went right before midnight). Drinks were not too bad. $6 for an Apple Martini. The bartenders were really cool and helpful. Usually you go to a place and they don't really pay attention to their customers, but all the bartenders here were really attentive to the customers and often I was asked by more than 1 person if I was already helped. Music selection was interesting. Mostly hip hop and 80s tunes, although they also played Top 40. The crowd was a mixed crowd ranging from the late 20's to early 30's. Almost everyone there was really friendly and down-to-earth. What stuck out the most was this one dude with flashing neon-light jewelry complete with a flashing-light set of teeth. Also, a girl I just met helped me carry some drinks to my friends. One bad point was it was somewhat of a meat market. Some dude greeted me at the beginning of my visit as I was rushing by with "Hey there, you look beautiful" (taps the booty). Not even an apology. They rushed us to close out even though one of us had bottomless mimosas and when asked to get another they said you have to buy another because you closed your check out!
