There are so many great things to say about this place...I'll try to make it short and sweet. First comment though, COME TO SEATTLE!! I was visiting from Seattle to see my bff and we came here on a whim, did the 2 hour commit, and had no issues getting in. First thing I noticed is how modern it is. Very streamline and easy to understand and not a lot of rules or tricks. Also, the people are so nice. From the minute we entered until we left the staff was welcoming and informative. We both got beer- it's pour your own which is so freaking awesome and way cheaper than your average bar. We wanted to try the food, but since I was visiting had already made plans for another place after the fact. The food LOOKED awesome though...only thing I'd recommend is less messy shareable-like pretzels! The games were equal parts challenging and fun - and I'm hard to impress. Most breakout rooms are so easy I tend to not even go because I get bored, but these have enough physical activity that it balances the mental - also there were a few we just couldn't get. Wish I could go back and beat them!! On the way out my friend and I were talking about how much we loved the experience and how it was the best time we've had in a long time. The manager overheard us and stopped us and thanked us for the kind words! What a good manager. I immediately told him they needed one in Seattle and that I would go all the time. Great time with friends here, we had a blast with all the varieties they have here. Make sure to sign a waiver beforehand, to save you time. RSVP is recommended because we went one time and walk in wasn't allowed due to being sold out on a Saturday. For the price, it can be steep but if you think about it, you are actually hanging out with good company and spending time in several rooms. I went to an event here, and returned within just a few days to enjoy it again with friends! This wis not your average escape room experience! At BRK Through they have dozens of rooms with time limits of just a few minutes each. You have to enter the room, figure out the problem, and work as a team to find the solution before time runs out! Each room is some type of mental, skill, or physical challenge with a maximum score of 100 points, and you can repeat a room as many times as you want. You compete for a high score against everyone else who visited the same day as you, but honestly the real prize is bonding with your team as you work together to solve each room. My thoughts after leaving- this would be an excellent place to take someone you just started dating to see how they react. You will quickly find out if they are a control freak, easy to anger, uptight, or easy to work with! The nature of the venue is that you are forced to work together to succeed, which makes it a great way to bond with your teammates. You will definitely leave here wither feeling closer together or ready to call it quits! Coming with friends, we laughed the whole the night and had a blast. The food was decent, the self-serve tap wall was reasonable, and everyone was super friendly. This is definitely a place I will be returning to again! read more

As a lover of escape rooms, this was definitely a fun time. The comparison makes sense since this is actually over 30 mini-rooms with different types of challenges, such as Physical, Mental or Skill based. Each room gives you a short amount of time to figure it out and try for the perfect score of 100 so you can get on the leaderboard. They also have a beer wall and food, although I didn't get a chance to try any. We were very focused on the rooms and getting to the top! The system works great and they have hints and workers if you need some additional help. You can keep trying the rooms as often as you like and they are well made. I wish we had something like this where I live. It would be great to bring a big crowd to. read more

BRKTHROUGH offered a truly unique experience with its combination of on-tap beer, customizable food orders, and a vast array of over 40 rooms featuring mental, physical, and skill-based games. This was the perfect place for a double date or a group outing. In general, the games were all very interactive but ranged from too easy to too hard. I liked the idea that you could try each game an unlimited amount of times, but I didn't like the range of levels. I would say going forward, there should be some more skill based challenges. In my opinion, the physical challenges were the most fun because they were great to do with a group and helped with team building. However, some drawbacks to this experience were the lack of hygienic protocols. Observing people eating and drinking before entering the rooms, without readily available hand sanitizer, raised concerns. Improvement in this area would be welcome. Despite this, the games offered a thrilling and exciting experience, with the added convenience of lockers for storage. read more

I have been here several times now and its pretty fun with groups of friends. Dynamics change or split when you have a large crowd and you may find yourself group hopping or sticking with one group. Some of the rooms are very simple and/or easy to figure out. There are hacks around some as well. Others are pretty challenging and can be confusing. Either way, there is something for everyone of all ages and group sizes. The staff is pretty clear about instructions, but it's pretty self explanatory. They do not really patrol, but everyone who has been there at the same time have all been courteous including children and adult. There is food and alcohol (self serve beer taps) offered as well. I wish they would change up the games occasionally because it has been a year since I visited last and none of the games had changed. This would limit the amount of times I go and I would probably just bring new friends who haven't ever been. There is one game that has been "coming soon" for the past year... It can get pretty pricey but the minimum 2 hrs is enough to get you through all the games read more

I think BRKTHROUGH is where escape rooms should all be heading! I love this model better than the traditional escape rooms. I enjoy that there are a variety of rooms to choose from. The price can be a bit steep - $29.99 for 2 hours per person. $39.99 for 4 hours per person. Not a place to visit often, but worth it for special occasions. Having experienced these escape room models before though, I think BRKTHROUGH would benefit from having more diverse rooms. A lot of them are button based - would love to see this place evolve into more complex rooms in the future. However, it's thoroughly enjoyable and such a fun experience! Another thing I'd like to see different is the lighting! In the hallways there are these terrible white fluorescent lights. It makes it feel like a dungeon and kills the vibe a bit. read more

My husband and I did this for a date night and we had THE best time! I was skeptical because it stated that it would be better for a group of four and one of the reviews complained about rooms being down. There are so many rooms and some are so challenging,if 10 rooms work you are good! We did pretty good with just the 2 of us. We tried the Korean wings and I had wine both were good. Second time at BRKTHROUGH and once again we had a great time! We remembered some of the rooms from last year but they were still fun. Even though we remembered them, they were still sometimes hard to solve so it wasn't like it gave too much away. There were some new rooms too which was awesome. This is a great place to take anyone- date night, family, girls night, etc. We enjoy taking a break with the pour by the ounce wall. We had so much fun here. The rooms are private enough so it doesn't feel like you're sharing your time and space with tons of other people. The rooms are challenging enough that you have a good time and get a good sense of satisfaction when you complete it or figure out how to do it, but they aren't so hard that you give up. I called earlier in the week and was told that I would not need a reservation for Saturday early evening. We showed up at 5pm with (4) 10 year old boys as part of a birthday celebration evening and were told that they were at maximum capacity and wouldn't have an opening until 10pm. I explained my interaction from earlier in the week and the 3 attendents at the front desk asked if I wanted to talk to a manager. The manager came out, explained the capacity standards (only enough groups for available rooms to eliminate waiting), and further explained that there were a few new operators training on the phone calls recently. She was willing to make an exception since we had a small group (1 team), turning some very sad kiddos into very excited kiddos. The desk attendants and manager were educated and communicated the company expectations very clearly, however, they we able to think outside the box and make a reasonable exception based on the circumstances. I truly appreciate the understanding and willingness to accommodate us. I will definitely be making a reservation and coming back. This staff at the Overland Park, KS location turned a potential negative experience into a positive one. I appreciate them and their efforts. Thank you. read more

Went on a date and had a blast! However, most of the rooms felt geared towards groups of 3-4, so didn't get the full experience. The wall of drinks on tap was really fun and easy to use. The shuffleboard table was awesome as well. Staff were very friendly and eager to help. read more

I just can't get enough of this place. I want to go back every single night of the week just to make sure I can try all of the rooms before they change out! This may be a one-of-a-kind place right now, but soon there will be copycats all over the world. It's perfect for an active date night, work team bonding, family outings, the list could go on and on. Upon walking in you're immediately greeted by the smiling faces at the desk that will instruct you through the whole process. Once you get to the main room you get to witness the mayhem play out. People running from door to door, clearly in competition mode, trying to squeeze in as many rooms as possible in their 2 or 4 hour time frame. Others sitting in the BRK ROOM with their pour-it-yourself drinks and fresh, delicious snacks, observing the madness. Let me tell ya, both perspectives are thoroughly enjoyable. People of any age or ability will love BRKTHROUGH. Each room has a different, unique theme with a puzzle to crack. Some of the rooms will leave you stumped, while some have an easy solution. You'll be sweating, laughing, cursing, or cheering after you exit the rooms. Once you leave you won't be able to talk or think about anything else for days because of just how amazing this place is. You'll feel like a kid again!! Everyone needs to experience BRKTHROUGH at least once, but I guarantee if you go once you'll want to go back! read more

Found this place through Instagram and LOVED it! The building had a super cool design and every employee was kind, we especially enjoyed our game master Ben for extra helpful hints. The rooms themselves were creative, fun, and definitely required a variety of skills (wear comfy clothes to properly take on the physically based challenges)! I was a little concerned about being a small team of two, but here's what we've concluded: If you're there to be a BRK Through champ with the best times and most points, grab some friends. If you want a fun date that forces you to work together and die laughing the whole time without much care for rankings, two is totally enough! A two hour time slot (about $32 a person) was plenty of time to try each room and repeat our favorites a few times; I think 1 or 3 wouldn't be worth it unless you had visited previously. We did not grab any food since we had reservations for right after, but it all looked delicious. Would definitely recommend for families, date nights, and friend groups! read more

We decided to check your place out... Here's what we found... At least a half dozen rooms weren't open, one was open, but wouldn't unlock with the wrist tag, no matter how many times you tried... At least 2 of the rooms had defective parts, where you couldn't finish the level, things like the basketball hoop and the wiffle ball target wouldn't register, no matter how many times you hit the target... Add to that the vague clues and the one and done nature of some of the rooms, we're not sure if they were working or not... Unless you knew how it was suppose to work, you could easily think you were just doing it wrong.... All in all very expensive free for all, with little to no customer service. The concept is good, but it's poorly executed.... Will not be going back again... read more

Was visiting family in KC two weeks ago and they brought us here! I had no idea what to expect but I was so pleased! And now I'm low-key sad I live all the way out in LA, because there were a few rooms that I need revenge on! I'd probably be there at least bi-weekly if I lived in the area. I've never had a gaming experience like this: it was so new and unlike any other interactive/immersive gaming place I know of. Which within itself is a big draw. It's very laid back, chill space. And I loved that tap wall. Being able to pour my own beer and not having to track down a server or constantly run to the counter feels right for this kinda space. I was really excited to go here and try it out, but I was sorely disappointed. You can't hear very well which is an issue considering you have to in order to do some of the games, and others are broken but still "working" so you just keep on doing a broken room like an idiot. Staff continued to ask our party how we were doing several times, but didn't really seem to care that we weren't enjoying it and gave vague non-answers to questions. They are "cashless", but don't take Apple Pay or contactless payments either, so not sure why they claim to. Though most importantly I believe; it's completely inaccessible to people with disabilities. I can do most things in life but this was dehumanizing. read more
