I've only been here twice but both times the food was delicious. I enjoyed the eggs and also the French toast and berries is great. The bacon was decent as well. Service is excellent. It gets pretty busy here after 11am on weekends fyi and you have to park in the back lot if you can get a spot. I'll definitely be back! read more

My daughter and I had lunch here today for the first time. Starting with the cleanliness of the diner. The staff were so pleasant and the diner is so clean and bright. I can't say enough about the food. It was delicious. The amount of food was enough for two people to split, even though we both ordered separately. Such a warm inviting atmosphere. Ps. The dining room feels a bit tight but it is certainly comfortable and did not sound too loud. The first thing I noticed after sitting down for breakfast was that all the food being brought out to customers looked very visually appealing. Much more so than the typical diner. Our food was no exception. My blueberry pancakes not only looked great, they were some of the best I have had in a long time. Nice and fluffy and no glue like texture which seems to be the norm at most places. Everyone else thought their food was above average to very good. Wish I lived closer as this is a very nice spot where I would like to try more. Friendly and fast service easpecially considering they were busy on a Sunday morning. read more

Great diner. While in town for a high school reunion event, I asked family members to meet me for Sunday brunch and we were not disappointed. A short wait to be seated but once in, service was immediate. I had Veal Marsala over angel hair pasta and it was delicious. Be prepared because the portions are large. One cousin had grits, bacon and eggs, the other had steak. Servers were friendly and provided great service. Worth trying. I would go back next time I visit home. read more

The waitress Moriah was attentive to our large party. The ambiance is very casual and is a classic NJ diner. The pancakes particularly are amazing. They are perfectly buttery and fluffy. I would go back for their breakfast and brunch menu. The hot chocolate was also delicious. It has ample parking. Something that seems to be in shortage in local area restaurants. The place looks to had been recently renovated. Has that HGTV Barn chic vibe you see in TV. But it works well place is bright and clean. The staff is attentive and very personable. They are knowledgeable of the extensive menu. I had the Fried Chicken Dinner, my favorite go to meal at most places. It was perfect, now you tend to get these huge flavorless chickens with woody texture to the meat specially in the breast piece. But the chicken here was flavorful, well seasoned and with a salad, soup and vegetable and 4 pieces, Breast, Wing, Thigh and Drumstick. A great value at $22. We came in during a busy time, and you could tell this was a popular spot -- the tables were filling up quickly, and there was a lively energy throughout the dining room. Despite the rush, our waitress was incredibly nice and attentive from start to finish. She had that perfect balance of being friendly while also being super helpful, making great suggestions from the menu and checking in on us just enough without ever feeling rushed. You could tell she really cared about making sure everyone had a good experience. After scanning the menu (which has plenty of tempting choices), I went with the Roasted Turkey, Lettuce, and Tomato Sandwich on a Croissant for $15.50, which came with a side of fries. Let me just say -- worth every penny. The croissant was buttery and flaky, the roasted turkey was fresh and flavorful, and the lettuce and tomato gave it that crisp, refreshing bite. The fries were perfectly cooked: golden, lightly crisp on the outside, and fluffy inside. Everything tasted fresh and made with care, which is exactly what you hope for in a good diner meal. I have to admit -- we were so hungry that I completely forgot to take any pictures this time (rookie mistake, I know), but I'll definitely be back, and next time I'll update this review with some mouthwatering photos so you can see exactly what I'm talking about. Ambiance I really liked the decor and while the place is small there's definitely some character and history here. Everything was clean. 3. Food Food was great. I understand prices have increased, but I know prices were a good amount higher for the egg breakfast as compared to other diners in the area. 5. Wisdom Diner is a classic Jersey diner, but with better decor. Their service is pretty good overall. We visited on a busy Saturday morning, so I expect that some requests - like Parmesan cheese for my daughter's spaghetti that she ordered at breakfast - would take a bit longer than coffee. What struck me as disappointing was the food, to be honest. The large quantity of food that arrived was bland and mediocre. If you value quantity over quality, this place is great. This is a classic NJ diner! Huge menu and portions. I couldn't talk my wife into getting the Nachos Wowchoes but saw a few orders go by. They looked really good with lots of chili, cheese and fresh accoutrements. The folks next to us seemed to love them! I had the open-face Hot Turkey Sandwich and loved every bit of it. Lots of finely roasted turkey with a great gravy over white bread. My wife had their Cobb Salad. It had very fresh ingredients, nice dressing and was served in a very large bowl. She absolutely loved it. We were seated immediately by a very nice and welcoming manager. Service was great - very attentive but not irritating. The diner is clean and pretty well kept too. I didn't see any bus pans out in the open like one reviewer had mentioned (?) so the management must have listened and relocated them. The only thing I saw missing from my years of going to great diners was a glassed in round case of all of their fresh desserts, pies, cakes ...etc. being offered. Service was good, the food was very bland. Now I give 1 star because we went yesterday morning and I got severe food poisoning that landed me in the ER with loss of feeling in my hands. I had an omelette (lots of meat) with home fries and toast. Unfortunately the food poisoning was way too bad I will not be returning. That had been the only thing I had eaten that day so I know the food poisoning was from there. Please keep an eye on your food and make sure you cook them right. read more
