There is no flash art all over the walls, the waiting area is relaxing and the staff is friendly. I set up my consultation with Fred, who is the best artist in Vegas. I had a concept in mind and some images with me for my consultation and Fred went to work creating an original piece for me that embodied my idea. The very next day I was able to start my piece and within a week my tattoo was almost completely healed, I can't wait to get back in for my next appointment and have more work completed. Tatlantis Obscura is a grand experience. I went to my first tattooing and I was apprehensive with the idea that perhaps their maybe a "pain level", but their is really no pain in the process. Fred, the owner and a true artist, gave me a great tattoo and the process has only started! I cannot wait until my tattoo is finished. Tatlantis Obscura is the only studio I will get skin art done. Fred is a mad scientist genius that creates the most beautiful, sick works of art and gets in touch with what you really want. The atmosphere is peaceful and tranquil with no trashy flash on the walls and sessions are done in comfortable private rooms. The staff are true professionals that are very pleasant and accomodating. After doing some extensive research on where to get my first tattoo, I finally decided on Tatlantis. I was looking for friendly non scary people and a nice comfortable atmosphere and I definately found it! I decided on the university location because it was close to my home. Best artist that I have seen to date anywhere. Fred doesn't use stensils and his work is always one of a kind. You know when you leave his shop that you have just received the highest possible quality of ink and you will be the only person with that design in the world. His shop is always very clean, reminds me of a surgical suite. He uses the most current tools and ink solutions. I use Yelp to find the best of the best of everything, however i've never felt the urge to write a review, but my experience at Tatlantis Obscura has prompted me to do so! This is easily the most professional tattoo studio I have been too. The majority of tattoo studios I've been too in Las Vegas share there workspace with drug paraphernalia. This place is the absolute best!!! I travel from California whenever I get a new tattoo, because this is the only place I come to. The artists are fun and funny, and bring my ideas to life. I live in CA but will ONLY go to Tatlantis! They are amazing and totally professional. None of that creepy stuff going on like in your regular tattoo parlors. Fred is the best. I have had the pleasure of being tattooed by Nando a few times. Nando was able to take my idea for a chest piece and design it perfectly to fit the shape of my body. The colors he was able to bring out are amazing and I am constantly getting compliments on how classy the piece looks. Nando's a fanatastic artist and pays great attention to detail. For my first tattoo I sought out Tatlantis Obscura. After dealing with them for my chest piece I would highly recommend them for their CLEAN conditions and talented artists. I live in Utah and drove 2 hours each way for each appt and it was well worth the extra effort. Sat through my first full session with Landon, and he made it a really comfortable experience for me. I didn't think I would have be able to sit through it but he finished the tattoo in less than 2 hours and he wasn't heavy handed at all. I loved the shop itself, very clean and I loved all the reading material they provided while waiting my turn. Honestly first time here my friend recommended me and it did not disappoint.
