Luckily, we made it in the first wave of people seated. We were offered the choice to sit inside/outside. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The drinks and food came out quickly. We ordered the sake and the sake mule. Both were good! We also got 2 pieces of nigiri from Japan and it was heavenly! Other items that piqued our interest were the tuna firecracker roll, a salmon roll, and another tuna roll. Everything tasted delicious, although I was surprised by the asparagus in my rolls. I don't know that that is my favorite! We had a great experience and would love to come back.

Overall, I would put this very much on par with a place called Kazunori in LA. I heard that this restaurant has a sister restaurant called sushi Den that I heard was really good and that I will be trying out next time I'm in town. Please come try out Tamaki done if you're ever in the area the food will not disappoint. And we think our experience was better because the sushi chefs would explain the origin of the fish and all the ingredients they used into each roll and order. We also got a complimentary piece for sitting at the sushi bar which was a light fried yellow tail which was so good. Service is amazing. They're attentive and check in on you often. It does take some time to get your rolls but give its time to digest. From watching the sushi chefs at the bar, they're very precise in how they make each roll. Every roll has similar proportions from the slight wasabi they use to the amount of rice and fish. Everything that we had was amazing. The hamachi and salmon sashimi felt like butter. It just melts in your mouth. The aged toro was so delicious. Even the edamame was just so good. The unagi nigiri is some of the best I've had in the state (the nigri was better than the handroll and I think it's because I love unagi so I love the ratio in nigiri form). The Spicy Tuna Oshizushi was a surprising favorite of the night along with the Crème Fresh Salmon Belly. I could've done without the wagyu but it was good. Every order does come with only 1 so order based on the amount of people that are with your party. Some items we were unsure of like the wagyu so we ordered 1 and shared a bite. Overall, I understand the hype and the reservations. But it was worth it and I'm surprised we can get high quality fish in a landlock state. Of the high end sushi restaurants in CO, Temaki Den is probably my fave.

However, with so many other good spots now, especially with Kawa Ni close by with a better izakaya hang out spot, it's not as attractive of an option, especially given the higher price. It really is not a restaurant that specializes in any particular food, but is certainly a crowd pleaser if you have people that want different things.

I am writing this review on behalf of a close friend relating to an experience with one of the servers. after more than a week of waiting for follow up following a serious safety concern. For an establishment valued at approximately $11 million, the lack of thorough background and safety oversight has been concerning from my perspective. At this point, there has been no further communication or resolution provided by management. I did receive a private phone call from management in which safety was emphasized and concern was verbally acknowledged. While the conversation was empathetic and reassuring in tone, there has been no meaningful action or follow through since that call. The concern involved information shared with management regarding a staff member with a prior domestic related case on record and witnessing that anger in person, along with additional legal and substance related to legal concerns. Situations like this require careful handling, transparency, and clearly enforced safety protocols, especially within a high end establishment serving the public. Management later requested that further discussion take place in person. Given the nature of the concerns and personal safety considerations, that was not something I felt comfortable doing. I also heard concerning rumors regarding possible substance use among staff members. While I cannot confirm these claims, it raises additional questions about oversight and safety practices within the establishment. This review is being written out of concern for the safety of guests and staff. While everyone deserves an opportunity to change, repeated behaviors over an extended period raise legitimate concerns about judgment and accountability. When patterns continue without meaningful intervention, it suggests that stronger oversight or corrective action may be necessary. Safety concerns warrant action, not just reassurance. I hope ownership takes this seriously and reevaluates internal screening, communication, and accountability practices to protect those who enter this establishment. The plate came out on fire so not only was the presentation great but one of my favorite dishes we tried that day. The French onion soup was delicious with the perfect amount of cheese. For entrees we had the rack of lamb, NY Strip, Brussel sprouts and lobster mac and cheese. From the greeters to the servers all the way up to the management - everyone gave us a warm smile and a 'hello.' The food was extraordinary as well. What impressed us most was that every single item we ordered was exceptional. The quality of the ingredients, attention to detail, presentation, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch. After reading some of the reviews beforehand, we weren't sure what to expect. In our experience, this restaurant is incredibly underrated. Restaurants can charge what they want, but customers deserve transparency. This is exactly why people are eating out less.

Some of courses were delicious and some were mediocre. We spent almost $700 for a party of four. The situation that needs the most improvement was the pace of the meal. The courses were separated by a 20-30-minute wait time. Considering that the courses were very small and contained 5-6 pieces for a party of four... that equates to a little more than a small bite every 20-30 minutes. The dinner took 2.5 hours to develop, and we were honestly still hungry by the end. The waiter started asking us if were "still hungry" at about the fifth courses. By the end, we felt awkward in asking for more. The wagyu beef was particularly disappointing as the beef was somewhat chewy, lacking taste and small. Waiters seemed to be near their capacity of workload. Didn't really take the time to serve, walk you thru the menus, keep the service moving or even gauge your level of satisfaction. We ordered dessert to celebrate the birthday. Apart from a small chocolate plaque on the dessert that said, "happy birthday", there was no attempt to celebrate the occasion as other less exclusive restaurants do... no "happy birthday" wish, no courtesy dessert... nothing special. The best part of this meal was by far, the young couple that accompanied us. Friendly advice: if you want to impress a client with something the feels exclusive... this may be the place. If you are looking for amazing food, being pampered and feeling your money was "well spent", try another place. I don't plan to visit this restaurant soon.

The fish tacos looked like fish sticks, not freshly prepped fish. They were served in those napkin holders which made the taco soggy and the whole thing fell apart when you picked it up. The ingredients were not great to start with and everything was just mass produced.
