Brought in a cotton white dress with a very basic coffee spot and makeup on it. Not only did they fail to remove the spots, they spread them all over the dress. Totally ruined it, and didn't say anything about it when I picked it up. Went back to speak to them about it. They claimed that when we dropped it off they said they may not be able to get the spots out, but we said to try anyway. No such conversation took place. I asked them to reimburse me for the dress, showing them how they spread the spots all over the dress. They refused and responded that the dress is old -- it's not, it's new -- and claimed their liability was limited -- also not correct when you totally ruin a garment due to your own actions. They offered to try to remove the mess they caused, but that seemed pointless. So, Broadway Cleaners, you owe me $542.64. You can Venmo me. I'll text you my Username. For the price I paid, $45.00 for less than 10lbs of clothes, my clothes should have been folded and ready for pickup instead of how they appear in the picture. This place is the best. Great service and they know what they are doing in terms of what to dry-clean and what to launder. We've used many dry-cleaners and think they do a wonderful job. When I told them I didn't want to use plastic, they bought a garment bag to keep my items in that I use and return. They are also familiar with military uniforms in terms of pressing and altering which is ideal since I volunteer with the Sea Cadets. read more

Convenient hours. I picked up my stuff on a Fri. at 7p. Laundered shirts were close to $2 and dry cleaned pants were $5 or $6. It adds up, but my work clothes sure looked great when I picked them up. Perfectly pressed and hanging neatly. Nice service and quick turn around. read more

Went there recently for tailoring for the first time. I got three pairs of pants hemmed up, and two shirts sleeves hemmed up. The person working the counter seemed a little distracted, but was able to focus on me for long enough to measure expertly. She measured the pants again after I had changed, and lo and behold, all the pants were the same from the inseams to where she had pinned them at the end. I do appreciate the measure twice, cut once ethic! When I returned to pick everything up, the items were well done and I couldn't even tell by looking that the shirtsleeves had been altered - except that they actually fit me now! Will definitely use them again for alterations, and am looking forward to taking dry cleaning over there as well. Overall, a solid, decent tailor - nothing out of the ordinary to blow me away, and I've tried many a tailor. I wish they were open past 7:00, as that's about when I get home from work and can head over there to pick things up. 7:30 closing time would be great! UPDATE: if you get there a little after 7:00 pm, smile pretty and hold up your yellow ticket, they will open up for you. read more

I like the women here. Before we had a washing machine, and while I was still in the first baby fog (it happens during the first 12 months after delivering) my husband paid for wash and fold. Oh wow was it amazing, all the baby clothing folded into neat little bundles. Our clothing was bundled on its own. It was bliss. I still go them for the dry cleaning, but they will always go down in my book for the wash and fold. Also they hem my Jeans. We started going to them for tailoring because they were the go to place for The Shop. If The Shop sent their Ben Shermans there then it was good enough for me. read more

I paid $28 for a coat and two pairs of pants. Not bad really. One pair of pants had a spot on it and they did not get it out. These are white pants and with my household cleaners I have been able to do a better job with the stain, although its not completely gone. They are open late, until 7pm so that's very helpful for me. read more

I had Broadway Cleaners tailor 2 dresses, one was snug fitting and another was a full skirt. I was very satisified with the craftsmanship and the alterations cost 50.00$ for both garments because I had them shortened quite a bit , one had an existing back slit and a zipper needed repair. I started coming to Broadway Cleaner's when my work opened up an account with them a few years back. When my work decided to do business with another Cleaners, I kept bringing my dry cleaning here in preference to the better service. The women here know me well enough, they wave to me if I pass their shop or there have been a few times they let me still drop my clothes off if I miss closing by five or ten minutes. As I'm new to the area, I was looking for a good wash and fold place in Burlingame and came to Broadway Cleaners based on the positive reviews given here. I'm sorry to say that I would NOT recommend their wash and fold service based on my very disappointing experience. First, when I arrived at the shop at 7:05 am, it was still closed, even though their stated business hours begin at 7:00 am. At 7:10 am, someone finally came. Myself and another customer were waiting outside the door when she arrived. Thankfully, I wasn't late for work. When I unwrapped my washed and "folded" clothes at home, I was shocked to see that none of my underwear was folded, my athletic socks and nylon shoe liners were not paired and matched, my clothes were sloppily folded, and many of my garments were wrinkled. I had to fold what was not folded, refold much of what had been folded, and will have to iron what was wrinkled. Definitely not a time saver for me, and at $1.75 per pound (quite steep), I expect much better service. This was my experience. Hopefully, others have had a better one. I will not be taking my laundry back here. read more

I had used Broadway Cleaners for the last several years. They had always been friendly and done a reasonable job (rare stains that didn't get removed or items not ready on the day promised). They are very conveniently located for me so we continued to use them. Last week I went to pick a large order and they pulled out my tuxedo shirt and showed me two!! large tears in the fabric. Then they blamed me - 'you must have ripped it' and 'it is old and the fabric is weak'. Please. I wear the damn thing once or twice a year and it was in completely unwearable condition when they tried to return it. I thanked them for their service in the past and told them they wouldn't be seeing me anymore. It's too bad as they seemed like nice people. read more

This place is great! They are very fast with hemming my pants, cleaning my coats and impeccable ironing. Also, the price for re-doing a zipper on a evening dress that i wore was soo reasonable and cheap! However, I am most impressed with their ability to get stains out. I recently took a jacket to broadway cleaners to have the sleeves shortened. After two failed attempts (first too short, then still too short with strange fitting cuffs) they nailed it! They were nice the whole time, even though I kept wanting it changed. They didn't charge me for either re-do and eventually got it right. I'm happy I took my jacket there because other shops might have told me to take a hike. Broadway cleaners stuck with it and made it right. Thank you to the two nice ladies that helped me. I will never go back to this place!!! The worst and most horrible service I've received! As this place is close to my work and next to my favorite Starbucks place in Burlingame, I thought I'd try them out. I brought in a trench coat to be cleaned. I picked it up on my way to a party and upon removing it from the plastic cover it was in, I noticed that there was discoloration (white spots) all over the coat and damage on the buckles. I called them right away and notified them and brought the coat back the next business day. After weeks of going back and forth to the store and dealing with the manager and the other staff, I was over it. The manager, Mike, is horrible to deal with, never came through his promise of compensation--and to make matters worse, I was NEVER refunded my cleaning fee!!!! Talk about a rip off! Beware of bringing your stuff here. If I could give this place negative stars I would! read more
