He came recommended & the receptionist was very sweet and attentive- so I had hoped for thoughtful, corrective treatment. From the beginning, though, I didn't feel truly heard. My concerns were dismissed during the initial consultation, and the treatment plan had to be redone after I pushed back. I also specifically told the doctor (with photos) that one of his technicians had previously damaged the finish on one of my veneers while placing attachments. Despite that, he still had another technician (unsupervised) remove and replace my attachments again -- even after I expressed how nervous I was about it. The technician was aggressive, rushed, and careless -- using excessive pressure in areas that didn't need treatment at all. I left that appointment with bleeding gums, new gaps between my teeth (particularly the lower front 8), visible enamel thinning, sensitivity and translucency that wasn't there before, and noticeable changes to the shape of my teeth (Which cannot grow back.)I was assured that no IPR would be done, yet the spacing now allows me to move floss side-to-side between teeth that used to be tight. My teeth lost most of their roundness and fullness- they are now flattened, smaller and boxier When confronting them, I was met with gaslighting and lack of accountability. What hurts most is knowing I voiced my concerns more than once -- and was still treated as if they didn't matter. No one should have to fight this hard just to receive careful, respectful treatment. So basically I went in to fix a problem and ended up with an even bigger one. If you're considering this office, I encourage you to advocate fiercely for yourself, ask direct questions, and listen to your gut. I regret not protecting myself more firmly after the first red flag. Patients deserve to be heard and to have their treatment performed with care, especially when they come in already vulnerable and trying to fix previous mistakes.

This review can be found under the American Dental entry for the same address. //Per their front desk staff, their oral surgeon is not board certified and cannot do much more beyond a simple extraction. The American Dental Plan also does not cover panel x-rays completely, just "regular" x-rays. I was seen twice and still have not been alleviated of my issue. I am trying to be understanding but I just feel like a cash cow at this point. First visit: Paid $199 for the American Dental Plan and one x-ray of the problem tooth was taken. Was quickly told I'd need to schedule a consult with an oral surgeon who would take a more in depth x-ray. Was then told the oral surgeon is not board certified and could only do a simple extraction if it's what's needed. Second visit: Well the more in-depth x-ray was a panel xray which was done right at the same location by the same staff. Was told it's an impacted wisdom tooth then was billed $155 for the 30 second oral surgeon consult and panel x-ray. Was then referred to an external oral surgeon with literally no affiliation to this location nor a participant of the American Dental plan. I've so far paid $354 and the problem still persist. I get that there is a process to all this. But from an outsider's POV, this is ridiculous.

I had to pay alot of money to get invisalign put back on we had previously done reg braces but do To my childs wisdom teeth coming in and her not wearing the retainer like she should I had to get them put back on. As a previous patient I asked for a discount which I was not given. I was told my child would have these new ones on for 1 year.. he took them off in 3 months telling me her teeth were straight which they were not. I fought with him about it and that's when he said her teeth grew bigger in shape which does not happen. He got so mad that he had an assistant put the braces back on which he didnt even do correctly. When you get these invisline trays they take a mold and send it to the place who then sends u the trays he only ordered 3 months worth instead of 1 year and that's what the problem was he took my money told me it was for 1 year and didnt get one year worth of trays so he was just trying to make easy money by pocketing the rest. He told the assistant to modify her old trays and told her to wear those for a few weeks. I was beyond pissed off. I also signed a contract that said to fix the retainer It was free for a year. After the retainer was put on they broke often for 400 dollars each it should not have broken at all. I had a permanent retainer and it lasted 20 years before breaking. Now after 3 months from the past break it broke again We go in there to get it fixed only to be told that there is an office fee of 40 dollars NO WHERE ON THE CONTRACT DOES IT SAY THERE IS AN OFFICE VISIT FEE TO FIX IT, IT SAYS FREE TO FIX FOR OME YEAR PRIOR TO THE BRACES COMING OFF . Then they say o sorry no one told you but that's the policy... I asked about 100 times when I signed up for this that the braces would be on for a year that this price was for everything that the retainer was free to fix for one year I got all yeses yes its on for a year yes this fee included exams ,post ops , xrays, the retainers and the trays. They even billed extra once. Thankngod I had all my receipts I paid for the while thing over a course of a few weeks and then all of a sudden my account was charged for the monthly payment. It took a 2 weeks to get that money back and they couldn't refund it to my bank they had to write me a check. I paid for a service I signed a contract and now there blowing out hidden fees!!! I work in an office those appts. after the work is done are called post op visits and are included with your fee. If the contract says FREE for one year that means it's free for one year. This place is all about money and scheming every chance they can. And funny thing as soon as I told the doctor I was a dental assistant when he tried to tell me my childs teeth were straight he had a nasty attitude and I never saw him after that. Be careful here on everything you sign and what these people tell you cause if you dont know any better your kid is going to have messed up teeth anyway. And.... they dont let you in the room with your kid. The staff at the front desk, on the phone and in the back office are extremely professional, responsive, quick, fun and friendly. And also, very very very caring about my child and I. They are a dream team and we are looking forward to seeing them more over the coming months. Dr Capogna is a class act. He is extremely articulate, intelligent, wise, caring and has a super great mannerism with my child and myself. He is one of the top orthodontists on the island and has a great reparation, but he hasn't let it get to his head. I have been working in the medical and healthcare field for over 20 years, and I am highly accustomed to reviewing many technologies, service providers, locations and package options. And I did this before choosing an orthodontist. And this included contacting 6 of our closest friends and family in the area. Interestingly enough, 3 told us the same person, Dr Capogna. 3 gave us other references, and then through other networking, we heard about 3 others.
