I was looking around at different tattoo places for about a month to get my second tattoo. I was being super duper cautious too bc my first tattoo artist was a dick and he didn't seem to have the patience to make my first tattoo nice. So I was kind of scarred for life and I was really hesitant on getting another. Then I came across this place and read all the reviews about Chesto. I texted his number and got a reply back immediately. Before I knew it I had an appointment that same day. The shop is kind of small and intimate which I really liked. Chesto greeted me right away and he is literally the most polite and nicest artist I've ever come across. His attitude throughout the whole experience just shows how much he cared about making sure you're happy with your piece. I wasn't even sure about the placement of the tattoo so I was apprehensive that he would be a little bothered about putting the stencil on and off. But it didn't bother him one bit. He made me feel so comfortable. I do have to say that Chesto does have gentle light hands so it was not painful at all. I honestly could've fallen asleep bc I was so relaxed. 45 min later, my arm was done and I was so nervous to look in the mirror. But to my surprise, I fell in love with it. I couldn't and still can't stop staring at it. The detailing is insane. He made a really simple tattoo into a piece of art. He's a line god for sure! Thank you so much Chesto! I had been wanting a tattoo for quite some time. I just didn't know what I wanted + this would be my first "visible tattoo" that would be visible to everyone. I have 3 others that aren't visible. A friend of mine had been getting tattoos and she recommended Chesto. I really liked her tattoos, his work. Alas... I had found exactly what I wanted! I emailed Chesto the pictures and quickly responded with a reasonable price and that it would take about a session to do. A few days later, I decided to pull the trigger and "just do it"! I text him, asked him when he could do it and even told him I was available "today"! He was available and it was on! Scheduled an appointment for the same day at 4:45. I couldn't believe I was finally gonna go through with it. After all, this is something permanent! The shop is medium size, nice and right off the bat, Chesto was one cool guy! Talkative, informative, how I found him etc! As I was sitting there, place was very professional and more importantly, clean! He took a lot of care and time just to prep! As it was time to get started, we placed the sketch on my arm and decided it was best to try a slightly different position. Finally... The tattoo started... As a client, you don't want to bother the artist as he works but Chesto was so down to earth from beginning to end! We talked about a lot and there was never a dull moment. He made sure I was comfortable in every way. He didn't have a heavy hand and bottom line, it was a great sitting. My tattoo was finally finished and was so happy with the result! Awesome... I can't wait to go back and do some final touch ups in a few months! Bottom line, go to this place. You won't walk away disappointed! I always wanted a hand tattoo so I went in to ask about price and check out portfolios of their work. Victor who is the owner did a lot of character tattoos and I wanted a Darth Vader. I set up an appointment for my next day off and victor did a dope job! We went over placement for like 30 minutes before we started to give me exactly what I wanted. Could not have asked for a better, easier studio to work with. Courtney accepted my walk in request (I did call an hour before going in to ensure they were accepting walk ins) and made the whole experience perfect. When I walked in she came up and greeted me, huge smile, introduced herself and was great to work with. I pulled out a printed picture of what I wanted and she was kind enough to not totally laugh at my basic girl request. She created the wave line and even let me do a couple placements before finding the right spot. My tattoo wasn't challenging artistically and was simple, yet Courtney provided no judgment about that. This was my first ever tattoo and was I pretty nervous. I came in for a basic tattoo with a bit of customization. First off walking in they were very polite. They offer you beverages and answer any questions you have. They had great music playing and made sure you were comfortable. Onto my experience. I sent a picture to the owner who referred me to Casey Wells. He gave me a fair estimate and was able to do it the next day. Casey did an amazing job. He was patient with me from placement to shading to after care as a first time tattoo owner. He gave great suggestions and I knew I was in good hands. He was very light handed and quick. The tattoo price was more than fair and I couldn't be happier. I will be coming back soon for tattoo #2. *Update* This will be the only tattoo shop I go too for as long as they are open. I currently have 3 tattoos from them and im already planning another 3. I took my brother here for his first tattoo and he had Chesto. I could not begin to explain the excitement I feel when coming to this shop. All the guys are welcoming and are some of THE most genuine people. I've been stuck on this artist, Courtney Moore, for the past few years now. I haven't had the best of luck with tattoos and I couldn't truly formulate in words the art that I have walked out of here with! Courtney turned disasters into masterpieces, beauty from ashes. Ladies and gentlemen, CASEY WELLS!!!! I haven't written a review in some time, but I needed to because this is the best artist! I gave him some pictures of what I wanted and he added his own personal touch and gave me options and what he could change around. His shading is great and his communication skills are as well. I have never had an artist that really talks to you before and during the process. We talked about other tattoos and meanings towards them, children, and other random things that made me feel more comfortable during the process. It was a different experience for me haha. He quoted me for and hour and a half to two hours the first time I saw him and my tattoo took three hours. He kept his quote which was the best since the extra time was him shading and adding more detail. He took his time and has a light hand. I have another tattoo next to my new one and there is a big difference of who did a better job... He makes sure his clients are comfortable during the process and is willing to work with sleeping people (I took a short nap...) I also told him I will shake during the process due to a brain injury and he made sure my leg was still. I am giving him such a long review because he is the best. He has won awards for his work and has a smile on his face while he works. He makes sure the client is satisfied before moving on. He adds his own personal touch and is willing to work on different types of tattoos. He will accommodate certain hours to work with your schedule. Better late than never haha - I got a tattoo from Courtney 7 months ago. It was a cover up tattoo and I really wanted to get it done before school starts which was only within a week.
