I went around 4:30pm to hopefully given them enough time to inspect before they close at 5:30. And since they can sometimes get busy, the waits can be 1-2 hours. Under-skilled and not reputable. Josh was eager for me to post, and John (the owner) ran into his office and closed the door when he saw me coming. I brought my truck in 6 weeks ago for fan belt noise as the primary complaint. They told me I need $2k in repairs, and we settled one 1k for plugs and a tune-up to go with the initial complaint of the fan belt noise. Two weeks later I take it in for fan belt noise. Josh tells me it just needs belt conditioner. I buy belt conditioner, use it... and not two weeks later my fan belts tear apart to pieces, my truck overheats and dies as I try to limp it back to them. I was on the freeway, lots of fan belt noise again, and then nothing... and my power steering quit working, the temperature immediately shoots up and the alternator light comes on.... The fan belt that I had A&I DIAGNOSE AS A PROBLEM TWICE has given away. I get towed to their lot, and say, "Why don't you take a look at it?" "Yep, the engines real bad and your fan belt is shredded." To which I'm thinking, "No SHIT. I've brought it to you for a fan belt THREE times now... a FAN BELT. They want $8400 to fix my truck for me... after failing to find a problem that I requested them to fix twice. Then they have THE AUDACITY to charge me ANOTHER $104 to tell me it's my fan belt that shredded. I go to a dealer for a reputable, competent service that someone stands behind. These guys are obviously criminals, even the owner JOHN, who I had told THREE TIMES I did not want a fuel system treatment (A total scam by all reviews) and he still ignored me and poured the chemicals in... When I said I specifically told you that I did NOT want the scam service, he told me I would have to pay for the chemicals and then charged me 3x what they were worth. He has no problem shaking your hand as he is straight screwing you though. You should avoid this place as they do not stand behind their diagnostics or their work. I took my vehicle there and felt good vibes upon talking with John. You see...I was afraid that they wouldn't take my national Warranty like most service stations. But John was very familiar with the claims process and also assured me he would keep me in the loop. He did indeed along with Robert. They were both very knowledgeable, honest, and humanistic. John walked me through the process and explained down to the detail of the mechanical issues. Same thing with Robert. I used the word humanistic because he understood my budgetary expenses, and discounted some of the price of what the warranty did not cover. Was on my way to Six Flags for a vacation from Cypress TX and my AC started to blow air incorrectly, going in and out the entire way. Since I was staying at a Holiday Inn near by I decided to stop here to get it repaired (worse mistake). I told Jose the manager what was the problem and it was $90 to inspect my car and find out what's the issue! $90! Anyways, I dropped the car off around 8-9am and took a Lyft to Six Flags and while I was there Jose called me and told me what the problem was and it was $280 to replace two valves and to add Freon. I was skeptical on getting my car fixed four hours away from home but I was not driving back home in 100+ degree weather so I told him ago ahead and repair my car. It took about 3 hours to get fixed and when I arrived it was around 3pm ready to go, I paid the $300+ and was on my way back to the hotel near by. Everything was going great until the next day, me and my boyfriend were on the way back to Cypress around 12 since check out was at 11am and an hour out of SA my AC started to do the same exact thing! Not even 24 hours later after I got it fixed. I immediately called the shop and told Jose the problem, he told me I would have to call MONDAY (two days out) to speak to the owner since he couldn't do anything so now I'm super annoyed because it's hot as hell in Texas especially in the afternoon! I called Monday and guess what, the owner isn't in. I've been calling this company over and over again to speak to the owner and he's never in! But today I finally got ahold of him and he gives me this bullshit 1800 number which is a claim center.. he says Jose already gave me the number but why would I keep calling to speak to YOU about my problem? If I was given the number to speak to an actual agent the first time I would waste my breath on you! So now I'm having to go through another company to see what we can do about a reimbursement or co-pay since I just had to pay $550 for it to get ACTUALLY fixed at my local mechanic. Who said this company did a bullshit job and just worked on the top part of my AC (refilling the Freon) and not actually running test to find out the problem because my car had TWO leaks! So the bullshit Freon they added of course leaked out less than 24hrs after fixing it! The owner said on the phone I'm searching for a refund, OF COURSE! Your shitty workers didn't fix my car, I spent $90 to get it checked and an additional $280 for the repair! Do not go to this shop if you're from out of town! They don't care about fixing your car, only the money. read more

This is the GOODYEAR tire shop. It's a family run shop that was bought out recently. I came in wanting to get a quote on some tires, John quickly gave me low/mid/high end options and showed me what the tread looks like. A quick search online showed that his tire prices were equal (actually a dollar less) to what I could get ordering directly from discount tire. I needed some other stuff taken care off, or at least looked at. They checked everything. And instead of pushing me to do everything possible, he explained to me what needs to me done ASAP, and what can wait. I got the tires done, an alignment, and a transmission flush. My car drives soooooooo nice, gears change effortlessly and I can't even tell when it switches from one to another. The alignment and the new rubber is just what my car needed - what a HUGE difference some nice tires and an alignment can do for a car! Anyways, I'm def a lifetime customer here now, based on my experience - I recommend y'all do the same. read more

The team at Goodyear on De Zavala reassessed what my Nissan dealer had diagnosed and found a different cause to my problem costing a fraction of the price. Even though it is out of my way, I have taken 3 different vehicles to to the Goodyear and have had outstanding customer service each time for an affordable price. I was referred to this shop after NTB gave me some suspect information. I called to John answered, he had time for me to come in the next morning. Upon arriving I was greeted by John who remembered me from the day before. He had a part in stock (NTB was going to have to order it)... he also told me he would check my A/C recharge and Evac as well as electrical connections to make sure he knew what the exact problem was. Come to find out I needed a new compressor... not entire compressor kit like NTB informed me. He saved me about $500 from my NTB quote and is warranting the job for 2 years. Happy to have found an honest auto shop in San Antonio! My daughter is a student at UTSA and she called me to say she'd picked up a nail in her tire. I sent her to Firestone to enquire about getting it repaired but they told her "it's too close to the sidewall" but would give us a "discount" on a new tire. My daughter told me it was closer to the center than the side so I checked around and spoke with John Hernandez @ Ken's Tire and Auto. I explained the situation and he said to have her bring it in. We talked about having daughters in college and he made me feel he would take care of my daughter in an ethical way. She took it in and they found there was no issue with patching it and they did so.
