    Whiskey sour

Our city doesn't have many choices when it comes to Italian food, nor do we have Michelin recognized restaurants, so my husband and I were excited to visit Brodeto. We made a reservation the week before our visit, but even then, we had to reserve bar seats because this is such a hot spot. Spoiler- it was worth it. I had a specialty cocktail that the bartender made for me. I love telling bartenders what ingredients I like and just letting their imaginations go wild. My husband had a whiskey sour which he said was delicious. Both of us stuck with only one drink, but the drinks are delicious and strong, so we only needed one. The limoncello spritz was the most popular drink we saw that night, but we didn't try it. I also appreciated that they have several spirit-free options. For food, we tried a little bit of everything. Both of the crudos we tried (salmon and tuna) were delicious, although the portions were small. The Little Gem Salad is Caesar and surprised us. My husband and I ordered it just to give our bodies a vegetable at dinner, but it was delicious with just the right amount of dressing and crunch. The whipped feta was rich and I loved the figs on top. Our pasta dishes, the Sopresine and Linguine al Nero, were wonderful. The linguine was my favorite of the two. I highly suggest ordered multiple pasta dishes and sharing them so you can try several- on that particular night, the menu had seven pastas. For dessert, my favorite was the vanilla gelato. You should definitely save room for it. I'm still thinking of the gelato and wish they sold pints! Both of us agreed Brodeto was one of the best meals we've had in the US. Even at the bar, service was excellent, and it was fun talking to the bartenders. We would certainly return when in Raleigh, and the menu changes seasonally, so it's a great place for return visits.

My son and I visited this restaurant on his birthday as part of his birthday celebration. My son had been there previously and wanted to go back for his birthday because he enjoyed it that much, so he made reservations for us to go. Upon arrival, we were escorted to our seat. We had a wonderful server, Felicity. She took great care of us and answered all of our questions. We ordered several things on the menu. Everything ordered was flavorful, had great texture, and was displayed well on the plate. The moistness and tenderness of each dish were definitely highlights. I wasn't sure about the snapper crudo but decided to try it anyway. It was scrumptious! The Wood Roasted Oysters were good, and the Bordeto seafood meal was awesome; however, I felt it could've been a larger portion for that price. Our gelato desserts were very tasty and refreshing. My son loved the uniqueness of the Vanilla Bean Gelato with olive oil and sea salt. I thoroughly enjoyed my Strawberry Sorbetto. I can see why this restaurant received Michelin acknowledgment in 2025. Between the food, service, and ambience, it was an absolutely fabulous experience. Needless to say, my son enjoyed his birthday celebration.

I was so excited to go to Brodeto. I had been hearing such good things so we went as a belated birthday dinner with my family. Four of us, three women and one man. The space is absolutely gorgeous, like wow. It is located in Ironworks so parking can be a little iffy so keep that in mind when you come. We were there on a Sunday evening at 6pm and it was busy, so I would recommend a reservation. We started off with drinks. I got their rose spritz, which they said was newer to the menu. It was both gorgeous and delicious. The idea of this place is tapas/small plates. I knew that going in. So we ordered a few small plates to enjoy: whipped ricotta, beef carpaccio, and little gem hearts. Our food came out pretty quickly but I will admit I was pretty underwhelmed by the portions. Each small plate is $22, which I am fine with paying when there is actually enough food. The bread that came with the whipped ricotta was delicious, that was probably my favorite. But there wasn't a lot of bread. And each new order of bread was $5. We had two order two more small rolls to be able to use up all of the whipped ricotta. For our entrees (again shared) we had the half roasted chicken, ravioli, and a side of potatoes. Again, I was underwhelmed by the portion of the ravioli. It was like 5 pieces of ravioli. Personal preference also, I just do not like when pasta is cooked al dente. The chicken was a large portion and was pretty decent. The crispy potato side was good. Then for dessert we had the olive oil cake, which was very good. But again, small in portion size compared to the quality and cost. I will admit, I was just overall pretty underwhelmed. The food was fine but between the portions and the cost, it missed the mark for me.

Brodeto has been on my radar for quite awhile based off the reviews and the ambiance. I finally went this past weekend and my friend and I are still raving about the food! Every. Single. Thing. we ordered was delicious and we ordered alot as a table. Overall the service was great as our waiter and the other servers were all very pleasant and patient when we had questions. I didn't get a picture of everything we ate but some of what we ordered: Sardine toast, Little gem hearts, Black Cod Ražnjići, Fregula, Linguine Al Nero, Ledene Kocke (delicious chocolate cake!), Hazelnut Gelato and the Strawberry/olive oil cake for my friends birthday.

This restaurant received a lot of hype and I was not as in awe as I anticipated. It was a lovely dining experience with a beautiful ambiance, knowledgeable and attentive server, and unique menu but for the price, I was not obsessed with the food. The branzino was delicious, the whipped ricotta was mid, and the ricotta's texture was a little chunky/ hard. We went with four couples and it was about $200-375 per couple - which was a little steep for an averagely good dinner!

Incredible food. The place gets filled in the evening esp on weekends so make your res early. Seriously, every item we ordered was spectacular is the perfect portion sizes. I love the way the decorated in here. Its earthy with perfect lighting. It feels airy! The linguine al nero is SO delicious. Highly recommend. I cant wait to go back

I have been to Brodeto twice now and both the times the food has been phenomenal. This time we got the following: Char Crudo - This was my first time trying char and I really liked it. The crudo was flavorful Croatian Pogača, fresh herbs, wood grilled - I was not a big fan of this bread. It was grilled a bit too much that it got tough and tasted charred. Scallops - I loved the presentation of this dish. The scallops were cooked tender and had a lot of flavor. Linguine al Nero - This was hands down my favorite dish. The pasta is cooked in a sea urchin butter and it gives it such a rich flavor. I would definitely go back and order this again. It was so good. Ribeye: The steak came perfectly grilled to a medium rare precut on a bed of porcini and grilled mushrooms. I'm not a big mushroom fan but they actually complimented the steak. Overall Brodeto is a hit and I'd go back again. P.S: Just like other Crawford restaurants they also charge you a 3% credit card transaction fees.

Service was amazing, server came at the perfect time, Crudo was amazing and the main course was divine. Nice place to come for a date! Food was a the perfect portion and everything was delicious overall.

The ambience was beautiful and contemporary, Staff were friendly. The food was tasteful, but overpriced. The scallops were the smallest that I've ever seen and eaten. They were bite size. Also, the arugula salad was bland. I enjoyed the Cocomero drink. The Croatian experience was interesting, but not as exciting as I expected. I will return again to try a different dish. Tips: you must order all food items at the same time. Also, the wooden door inverts when opened as if it is going to revolve. As I stood near the door awaiting seating, the door hit me in my back as a customer entered the restaurant. Ouch!

Excellent atmosphere with open kitchen and great service! The crudo was refreshing! Make sure to order the bread to mop up your extra sauce from the pasta dishes! I would definitely dine here again

My friend and I had the perfect girls night here! I love Italian and this was on her list of suggestions. Even better it's walkable from the climbing gym so I was able to have a full evening of climbing and catching up with my friend. We made a reservation for 7:30pm and were seated at a two top in the main area. The ambiance here is clean, classy and upscale. We started with an espresso martini and a mezcal drink. The mezcal had that classic smoky kick and the espresso martini was actually a bit more bitter (ha) than expected but still very good. I had the busiate with shrimp and my friend got the pork chop. I also had a glass of pink rose that was delicious and paired well with my pasta. I tried a bit of the polenta - which I'm pretty indifferent towards, but this was scrumptious. For dessert, we shared the chocolate cake and it was amazing. Serving sizes are on the smaller side but makes you savor every single bite! All in all, I had an excellent night here. Service was spectacular- I would expect no less for a $$$$ venue! I would definitely come back. @azfitfoodfun

Brodeto is probably one of the top five restaurants in the Triangle. The food, ambience and service were top notch! It's fairly new and opened in 2024. This was our second time here and I'll say it's one of our favorite eateries in Raleigh. My wife and I shared dishes and everything was delicious. We will definitely be back again soon.

Magical! The wood fired cooking area aroma permeates the entrance, creating a warm welcome. There's something for everyone here and the attention to detail radiates from every employee. Grateful to have this experience and wish all those who frequent or are considering trying it for the first time to enjoy. Cheers

I am compelled to remind every resident and every visitor to make this a "must go to and enjoy" place for either brunch on Saturday or Sunday, or for dinner any night of the week. Go for the amazing cuisine, vast wine list, and stay for the outstanding service! Recently, we have found ourselves trying not to enjoy just our go-to favorites that are mainstays on the ever-evolving menu. We have been blown away by the flavors of the large plate option called Chicken Pimientos. Don't let the name throw you, because it's not super spicy, it just has a nice kick to it with delicious potatoes accompanying the very moist and flavorful chicken. The way the kitchen team at Barcelona handles the preparation of the eggplant caponata is impressive and very unique. Other favorites on the tapas section of the menu recently are stuffed piquillos, corn zucchini bunuelos (think fair food turned healthy!), Wagyu carpaccio, lamb kofta, and pulpo gallego. Remember that their tapas offerings rotate in and out, oftentimes based on the season and availability of fresh products. The wine offerings are unparalleled in the city of Raleigh, and when you visit for dinner on a Monday evening, every bottle is half-priced. Can't beat that for a way to jump-start your work week! We tend to sit at the bar on most visits as bartenders Kira and Cameron truly handle their bar with a welcoming vibe and impressive ease. We shared a glass of cava, which was crisp and delicious. I chose the aperitivo board and my husband ordered the paella mariscos. My husband lived in Spain for a while so he had high hopes for the paella; alas, it was very salty and the calamari was missing. It was so salty that we only had one or two bites. I keep telling my husband that he just shouldn't order paella in the US anymore. The manager was extremely accommodating and offered many options to help! The aperitivo board was divine. The items were bursting with flavors. My favorites were the marcona almonds, the aged manchego, and the potatas bravas. The table bread and oil were also fresh and delicious. There was another dish that I'm not sure if we ordered or if it was included, but the fish flavor was too strong for me so I passed on that. My husband enjoyed it though. I'd love to try some different menu options for our next visit.

I ordered the whipped ricotta for an appetizer to share and a burger with fries for my entree. The whipped ricotta was ok. It would taste better with some sort of seasoning in it. My fries were served hot but needed some salt. I asked for my burger to be cooked well done but I was brought a burnt burger. I took one bite but it was too overcooked. I then requested that my server have my burger be cooked medium well so I didn't get another burnt burger. When my burger was brought back out, our server had me cut into my burger to make sure it was to my liking. I saw him in action and it was a beautiful thing to see him basically offer up a dose of kindness with a dash of "you better check yourself before you wreck yourself." If a place could be described by one word, Niche's word would be KINDNESS. I felt like I was taken care of. Thank you Ted and Andy for being so kind on my first visit and turning my night around. I look forward to future visits. This place is most definitely a must visit when in North Carolina!
