Stopped in here on the way home from a work trip. The place had the sports bar/BBQ joint vibe to it. The food was so good. They really know what they're doing in the kitchen. The staff checked on us just enough to make sure we were good I ordered the BBQ Boar Burger. The only thing I'd change about it would be the reduce the lettuce a little bit that's it. I left satisfied and would gladly come back.

Was recommended by friends and did not disappoint. I had the meatloaf (new menu item) with smashed garlic potatoes and my fiancée had the prime rib with baked potato. Both were delicious, I'd definitely go back for the meatloaf. Our group also had the chicken piccata, ribs and rib steak and everyone loved their meals.

Went there yesterday 430pm, thought it was odd 3 cars in the parking lot. Waitress had a mask on... ok. Sat down ordered cod and chips, and my husband got tri-tip. When waitress showed up with the food, the cod was 2 fish sticks. Sooo, weird. My husband's steak came out in pieces, and cold. Fries cold, coleslaw looked old kind of runny, baked potatoe was really good. Waitress took the steak back to warm it, not sure how that was done but brought back cold again. Was told it was cold cuz the room was cold. Discussed with my husband that his steak was not tri-tip it was left over prime-rib. He agreed, steak does not get served in pieces. Also waitress never asked how he wanted his steak, he had to tell her and she looked confused.. weird. Went there for a date but wont go back. Not a steak house, atmosphere was weird and now I know why nobody was there. The other cars in the parking lot was the cook and the waitress. Bad sign for a saturday.....

Been in Bandon for almost two weeks. Drive by this place often. Always looks busy but it's away from the downtown core. Finally decided to stop. We didn't wait long to get seated. Hostess was friendly. Waitress greeted us after about 10-15 minutes. Drinks came out quickly and were good. Dinner also came out quickly. Nothing super special, just good home cooked food. My prime rib was a little over cooked but was still tender. My wife's NY steak was very good. Sides were tasty. Of concern, the place was like a steam box making it a little uncomfortable. All in all, good meal and good service. Prices comparable to other places in town.

Excellent food, beverages and service. I had the prawns dinner. So much food, for a great deal. Mother had a bread bowl, said it was excellent. She ate every bite. Definitely a place to check out.

Whether you're watching the waves roll in or just soaking up the Oregon coast, it's one of those places where you find yourself lingering a little longer because the setting is just that beautiful. Food-wise, the standout for me was the Dungeness crab legs with red bell peppers and pine nuts in a garlicky white wine sauce, finished with Parmesan and just the right touch of cayenne, served with garlic toast. It was absolutely incredible. The sauce was rich and packed with flavor without overpowering the fresh crab, and the garlic toast made sure none of that delicious sauce went to waste. It's an absolute must-order. The service was just as memorable as the meal. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making sure guests had a great experience. That level of hospitality really elevates the whole evening.

The crab cakes were just as impressive. They were packed with crab, nicely seasoned, and cooked to a perfect golden crisp on the outside while staying tender and flavorful inside. You could actually taste the crab instead of a bunch of filler, which is exactly how a great crab cake should be. The laid-back, waterfront vibe makes this the kind of place where you can grab incredible seafood, relax, and enjoy everything that makes Bandon special. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Tony's Crab Shack is one of those places you don't want to miss. The New England clam chowder likely came out of a can from Cisco. And I believe our biggest regret was ordering a dozen oysters. Now, I've been eating oysters for 50 years in just about every state that harvests them. These oysters are gigantic, which in itself is not a problem. However, they smelled and taste like dead fish, with the texture of soggy bread. There was absolutely no salty brine. This could indeed be a local variety that I just don't care for. But to me, they taste like they were shucked a week ago and soaked in a bucket of fishy water and put back in the shell to serve. Additionally, they were warmer than room temp and not served on ice. I only managed to swallow two before throwing in the towel. My wife who is an oyster lover, only ate one. I'd like to think that I'm wrong, but I can tell you that I regret every penny I spent there. and will certainly not go back. -so, update on the oysters. The oysters served were Coos Bay Area oysters, which are too large to serve on the half shell. They are primarily used for frying. The fine dining restaurants in the area do not and will never serve them on the half shell.

When I asked for no feta cheese on my gyro she informed me that it was also in the tzatziki (I really appreciated the heads up) and she also clarified if this was a food allergy or preference (I appreciate her concern in the case that this was an allergy to dairy). She was also quick with bringing me ketchup and hot sauce and anything else I asked for. She really made both meals excellent :) The food was just as good as the service! My Traditional Breakfast really hit the spot! Thanks again to Kat for recommending the bacon. My gyro was a little plain, because I got mine without cheese and tzatziki. BUT the chicken was super flavorful and the veggies were fresh and crispy. I added a splash of lime juice and this was perfect for me. And I must say these are some of the BEST French fries I've ever had!! I'm not sure if they're considered double fried or beer battered (?) but it is definitely worth the $3 upgrade to get them! I only wish they would just put the dang bottle of ketchup on the table instead of bringing it to you in a small metal cup (which they did at both meals). Odd policy IMO; seems like it makes more work for the servers. But that is a very small complaint for an overall very great restaurant!

There are notable exceptions like Barrel Mountain Brewing and Kells Irish Pub (look them up if you are in Oregon or Washington). Bandon Bait, true to its name, also sells bait and tackle, and the first time I drove past, it sported a line that ran the length of the building. I have reviewed fish and chips at many restaurants over the years, so I have a lot to compare these with. So, here goes. First, the breading has an herbal flavor, and is delicate without being self-unwrapping. It stays on, which is good. The fish is fresh, and cooked properly. I tend to favor battered fish, as opposed to breaded, though. Still, while it is not my favorite on the Oregon Coast, it has a lot going for it. I'm comparing these fish and chips to the results of a 30 year quest to find the best ones on the Oregon Coast, so not all of them are going to knock my socks off, but that doesn't mean that they are not excellent. They give a little dish of bay shrimp cocktail with each serving. That was nice. My wife had the prawns, and she liked them while remarking that the dill pickle in the cocktail sauce was strange, but seemed to be okay. The fries were shoestring, and got cold quickly in the prevailing gales that buffeted the outdoor tables. I have long hair, and it really wanted to join the clam chowder on the spoon, but that was the appetizer, and will be addressed soon. Back to the fries. They were okay. They had a seasoned salt of unknown origin on them that was pleasant. The chowder was above average. The portion was decent, and it wasn't too thin. It tasted nice, but had an unadventurous flavor. It's the kind you want when you have been disappointed by a previous chowder, and just need something familiar. It tastes good, but not ecstatically good. All in all, it was a serviceable meal. Don't let the mild criticisms lead you to think I was disappointed, or would not recommend stopping in. Just because something is not the best, it doesn't mean that it's not delicious.
