    Fig and prosciutto sourdough toast...delicious
    Heather S.

This classy top floor restaurant gave us exceptional service and offered delicious upscale dining. We stayed on the appetizer menu because everything on it sounded delicious and the dishes we got did not disappoint. The food was top notch. Don't miss this gem. And there is one local that I will be visiting soon.

Honestly the best food I've ever tasted in my life. I experienced amazing service and food was phenomenal if I wasn't on vacation I would be here all the time !

I brought the family here on vacation and had a good experience. The staff was very helpful but the wait time for meals was about 30 minutes, a little longer than I had anticipated. This restaurant is located on the second floor of a plaza so you don't have any spectacular views. Overall is the good restaurant and I recommend it.

We had a nice dinner here. The service was friendly and the atmosphere felt grown and welcoming--perfect for a relaxed night out. My husband really enjoyed his steak, and the crab cakes were decent. The crab dip appetizer was just okay, but my cocktail was both delicious and beautifully presented. The highlight of the evening was definitely the dessert--the toffee cake was amazing! 10/10 recommend it if you go. The restaurant is tucked inside the same building as the arcade, so it took us a minute to find it. There's also a cute flower wall for photos. Overall it was a nice experience and worth checking out if you're in the area!

Not a typical decor or atmosphere for a coastal restaurant, but food was delicious and they were getting busy pretty quickly even in an off season. Our server was wonderful, very attentive, and overall service was very good, other than a minor issue with a couple of ingredients missing off my spouse's sandwich, but it was addressed and taken care of immediately. Best she-crab soup I've had, and my fish and chips entree was perfection, though not in a typical presentation. The batter was so good. Please come try this place out!

I found a hair in my Caesar salad. And it took an hour for us to even receive our food. For the prices, I wouldn't say it's worth it. The decor is not great, not as classy as I think they are going for. Bathrooms were outdated and dirty. We had to ask to have our drinks refilled. The taste of the food was good for the most part. We will not be back.

We are in Corolla for our friends' wedding over the weekend and we had dinner here tonight. The place is beautiful and the ambiance is chique. Initially we were the only people there as it first opened, but soon the place was flooded with people and it got busy very quickly. The service was great and the server was very attentive. Most of the food we tried was delicious. We especially loved the crab dip, and my friend really enjoyed the pasta with scallops. I appreciate places that have good mocktail options and this place was definitely one of them. Their smoky old fashion was a hit! Giving it a 4 star only because the orange crush (picture not included) my friend ordered wasn't what she expected (like in Virginia Beach) and didn't seem to be made with fresh orange juice. Also the fish tacos were just okay.

Cute little restaurant in Corolla, up on the second story of a shopping center. Early for dinner, probably don't need a reservation, but the place does get busier as the evening goes on. The bar area is lit by neon green lights, which...is a look, for sure. It's almost as if the place turns into a club at night? Dunno. Anyway, food. The restaurant area itself is quite nice, and the service was very friendly. The menu is quite large, and they have some stuff for kids in addition to adults. For starters, we had some mozzarella sticks, just because we were starving and they sounded good. They were good, because fried cheese, but nothing crazy; just mass-produced type of deal. The cocktails were tremendously good! Had a few of those, and both of which were quite good. For dinner, we had scallops and the shrimp and grits. The scallops were well cooked and delicious! The real winner was the shrimp and grits, though! absolutely tremendous! one of the best servings of shrimp and grits i've ever had. wanted to lick the plate when i was done! a little bread would've been good to wipe up the remaining sauce. And this place actually was not that expensive, which was nice! I don't know the area overly well, but it honestly feels like a hidden gem. Definitely check this place out for a wonderful dinner!

The waitress and service was fantastic. The Rasta Pasta and Scallops were great. One tiny complaint were the couple annoying flies around.

Menu is significantly pared down from previous model. Pricier, but the quality and presentation make it worth it. Half the mahi-mahi fish tacos and my daughter had black bean burger and fries. Both were vastly better than past years. Keggy was our server and I asked if they made shots, she said what were you thinking? I replied we were in Duck so I'd like a Duck fart, she said no, you're in Kitty Hawk, so I ordered the Kitty Hawk Rooster, and she explained to me where the name originated. Friendly staff, personable service. Only complaint, the AC upstairs was blowing right on us, so it was a little chilly. Would recommend to anyone. $60 for appetizer, two handheld meals and one cocktail. Two thumbs up!!!

We were seated in the lower dining area. Our server was great. She was super friendly and very timely in her service. Food was good, it was never that great. They have their standby dishes like the sesame noodles. I decided tot ru the fish and chips. The fish was good but the very odd "chips" seemed like shaved potatoes that were cold. They looked good but could have been hot. We all ordered cocktails. I had the orange crush and it was delicious. It didn't really have much booze but was tasty.

Ms T chose the flounder sandwich, which was nicely done with shredded lettuce and tomato with a very good tangy, creamy sauce. I had an oyster basket with slaw. I am not an oyster expert, but these were sweet, mild and clearly fresh. They were coated lightly and fried perfectly so they were tender. Goombay's serves 50 caliber French fries which are not always well prepared, but in this case, they were excellent, creamy inside, not dry or half burned. They have a little of the ubiquitous potato varnish as a coating, but it is light. I ate way more than I needed. The slaw was also a good sweet/tart version, which is my choice. All in all, this was a great lunch at an old favorite place. I left wondering why it took us so long to get back. Hopefully we can work them into our busy lunch schedule again when we return in the Fall.
