Service - service was pleasant and personable only at time of ordering. Other than that the service was non attentive. Not sure if we had two or one server dedicated to our table. But the man who took our order only dropped off the food and beverages and never looked back. We had to ask for ketchup , the bill , he never asked us how our experience was. The other lady server did refill a couple of times without asking. Food entree was meh. Fruit quality was surprisingly good, but presentation wise who cut the orange wedges today?????? The cut rhine was on the wrong side to be eaten. Ambiance - this is where the entire time I was annoyed. Servers, employees and arriving guests walking through areas disturbing other patrons dining in the main open area. Tables were set near one another and staff continuously kept bumping into our chairs and table when walking by. They cut across the area instead of walking on the designated perimeter. Would like to say that the chicken fried steak is absolutely aweful- there is no steak or chicken it's all batter? Then I asked where is the steak they said this is how it is.. I could not understand. Then they were super polite and said can we exchange with a steak, how would you like that, I said sure I said medium raw, first the steak was 1/8 of and inch and came to me after the eest of the plate was cold and I really think I chewing threw card board would have been easier. Terrible experience with service. It was a second visit after the first experience that was very satisfying with kind staff. The both visits are around noontime weekday. Today nobody paid attention to seating us in reception area and had to wait for five minutes and I had to wave my hands to servers inside. An eye-glassed waitress came to us and I told her that we had waited for 5 min in a nice tone, but she seemed so uncaring and no response. She Looked very tiring and unwelcoming. When seated, there was an unknown liquid spilled on the seat of the booth near the bar. My boy got wet on the pants and asked her to wipe out and she didn't say any and just looked bothered to wipe it out and tossed the rag across the bar. Then, She served two cups of hot coffee. The cups are so sticky and dirty stained. The way she showed in tone and manner made us so uncomfortable and unwelcome. My son also had the same feeling and didn't drink a coffee at all. Just ordered DoorDash avocado toast one scrambled eggs one poached. The bread was completely moist. The avocado felt like the texture of wet salsa. This is the worst breakfast meal I have ever had. I was hoping to find a good breakfast restaurant but left slightly dissapointed To start off with the positives, the service was friendly. The employees were very friendly and attentive. The employees were busy cleaning the restaurant, which was nice. The menu is very big and has a lot of choices. They have burritos,pancakes, omelets, and more. The huge downside is the taste of the food. Everything we ordered tasted extremely bland. My burrito had good ingredients such as guacamole but very little seasoning or sauce. They served pico on the side but it was hardly enough for half of the burrito. On a positive note, the beans and rice tasted good. I would have given this a higher rating if the food had more flavor. Dined in yesterday, Saturday 8/16/25 in the morning before 9am. Seated right away. Served was Eduardo #3904. Not personable and not a lot of eye contact. He seemed put off that we weren't ready to order right away. We ordered our meal and everything was good. The hot sauce bottle was empty and had to wait a few minutes to get anyone's attention. Eduardo grabbed a hot sauce from another table instead of bringing out a new bottle. We finished our meal and we had a reward for the birthday cinnamon pancake, French toast or Belgian waffle. I asked for the waffle and he said, that it would cost extra. I showed him the reward and he still said it's only for the pancake. I showed him a zoomed in picture of the reward and he said ok. We asked for it to go with the butter and powdered sugar on the side. He asked me a third time which item I wanted. He brought out a bag with the waffle in a box and it had powdered sugar on the edge of the container. I opened it and the waffle was flipped over because there was powdered sugar on the underside of it. He noticed this, but didn't say a word, nor did I because I didn't want to deal with him anymore. When the check came out, the redemption credit was less than the waffle price. Eduardo had to adjust the check. We always tip a base of 15% and go up from there, depending on the service. We rounded it up to the nearest dollar and left. When I tried to add my receipt to the app, it shows the points earned and total amount of the check. It was higher than the amount I wrote. I called and spoke to the manager, but he was busy and said he'd call back at the end of the day to figure out what happened. He never called. The discrepancy wasn't a large amount, but it's the principal and our visit was not the best. I had a feeling that the tip amount was changed. If small amounts like this is done to multiple patrons, it can go unnoticed and not mentioned since it's small. Hopefully this is not what happened and it was an accident. Drove by and wanted to try this place. Use to see it in orange so happy they finally opened one in Irvine. The place is really clean and modern which I love. I placed an online order and picked up. The people working at this location are so friendly! Usually I pick up food and I can't stand the snooty looks or just cold personalities in general. I will definitely be back again to eat inside. Hi, I wanted to share some feedback about my recent visit. We had several issues during our meal: I ordered a hot chocolate and was served a cold one. We were missing a side of fruit that we had ordered. When we asked for ranch, the server told us you had run out--but later we saw her give ranch to another table. Most concerning, we ordered a medium-well steak for someone with who has trouble eating not fully cooked steak, and it was served medium to medium-rare. We went to a Broken Yolk on Barranca for the first time. Never tried any of their locations. We loved our food. Hubby ordered American breakfast with scrambled eggs. The chef knows how not to overcook scrambled style and not make it dry and rubbery. I ordered the classic French toast. So I only came back to this place because I had 2 coupons and my wife and I really haven't really breakfast food since we moved from Texas 2mths ago. The food was a little better than the fiesta burritos but the omelettes and fries/hash browns needed more seasoning. We both had biscuits and both were hard and tasted like flour. We had some ranch in the car and along with salt & better to jazz it up. We are Carolinas so maybe our taste buds are different but we prefer Carl Jrs rather than this (not saying to insult anyone or this establishment just we would pay less or around the same and taste better). We tried several places since moved here and it's our least favorite. Far as the service, everyone seems friendly but I think the young girl that works at front gets anxious when it gets packed and crowded. She did that both times we went. This is my first visit to the restaurant. I have mix feelings about it. The ambiance was very nice. The service was also pretty good, we don't have any complaints. The food instead is 2/10. We ordered "huevos rancheros" and "Ranchero Skillet". The Huevos rancheros there the worst ever! We are at SoCal guys!, any small business can do a better job. Please review your recipes! The rancheros Skillet was a lot of potato, little chorizo and 2 eggs, nothing really special. The food is very "commercial type" at least for these 2 dishes. There are 4 things I usually consider when rating a place: food, price, service, ambiance (in that order). Food- not to be harsh but it tasted like mediocre hospital food.. but unhealthy. The potatoes had no taste, not browned (no crunch, no taste). The omelette was not made fresh- the toppings were precooked and then stuffed into a fried egg- which was weird because every omelette I've had before this, the ingredients are mixed into the eggs, then fried. It has this weird watery tasteless juice from the veggies oozing out too. My husband's burger was not memorable (like high end fast food). Best thing we had was the sweet potato fries (not saying they were even that great). Kids meal with French toast.. something I could make at home. OJ was not fresh squeezed, bottled or waiter and tasted like it. Price: avg pricing but not worth what we got. At all. Service: had to ask for milk for the coffee, spoon to stir my coffee, utensil to eat with... basically had to ask for everything we needed. Server rolled his eyes when we told him our drink order was wrong. Wasn't the best service. Front staff was nice enough. I have no idea why there was a line to eat here (30 min), maybe because it's new. .. Ambiance: nice newly remodeled interior. Looks great! Won't be coming back despite walking distance from our home.
