Juicy, savory, and really tender. They really balanced the flavors well. The runny egg in it took it to another level. Also had the chicken croffle. Chicken was so juicy and went well with the flakey croffle and chili syrup. So so good! Ended with the ube French toast which was texturally pleasant and a perfect sweetness. Wara Bistro is offering an incredible brunch menu on the weekends. The strawberry pancakes are to die for my favorite was the Chilaquiles's and of course, the eggs Benedict was my husband's favorite. They also offer mimosas by the glass or bottomless if you want to really take on the whole brunch experience. I enjoyed a delicious latte as well which I would recommend. While this place is located in office buildings, it is the perfect setting to either dine outdoors indoors. They even have a special conference area that you could probably reserve with the TV and or grab and go. Wara Bistro is really close to my workplace in Tustin, and is the perfect spot to have time to drive here, sit down, and actually eat my lunch and have some time left over to relish the incredible value of the phenomenal quality of food that comes at a very reasonable and almost unbelievably affordable price point. The half sandwich & soup combo for $12 was mindblowing, given that the grilled chicken half sandwich was almost like a whole sandwich and the meat, cheese, and everything including the toasted ciabatta, was perfect! And, the half soup of tomato basil that came with the half sandwich had real chunks of tomato and basil that made everything seem so upscale, yet so affordable, for people like me that need a place with quality health-oriented foods for those workday lunch escapades. The iced matcha latte with almond milk was pretty good too, but I'm more of a food person than a drinks person, so the food was more exceptional to me. The staff are amazingly personable, caring, and hardworking, which was great to see since it kind of resonated with the great foods and price points that suggest the restaurant cares about its customers. Nice brunch at wara bistro. Went here for brunch near noon. The outdoor seating had a great atmosphere. I would say that sitting outside, the service can be a little slow. But I think outside definitely is the better experience on a nice day. I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was fried really well and had a great seasoning. Salad was very fresh. However I think the waffles, potatoes, and sauce were all a bit lacking making it not the best chicken and waffles experience I've had. I looked at some of the other items my group ordered such as the sandwich and chips. The sandwich looked good but the chips were cold Vickies kettle chips and I could see how you could've disappointed with that. I love this place. Close to where I work. I usually go weekday mornings (9:45am-ish) and pretty quiet around at that time. Workers are so friendly and welcoming. Every drink I've had from the cafe was so yummy. Food is good too. Amazing dressing on the side salad that comes with the sandwiches. Price is moderate/fair. I very recently found out about Wara and was glad I was able to visit for breakfast. It's conveniently located in an office park complex with a nice outdoor patio area that is well taken care of (lives up to the standards of the Irvine company). The inside also has quite a bit of seating and puts forth a modern vibe and was very clean. This is what I would consider a California bistro with items on their menu including avocado toast and breakfast burrito. Speaking about the menu, there is a good variety of options for breakfast/brunch/lunch as well as beverages. I was also pleasantly surprised to see an ube latte and ordered an iced soy version, as recommended by the barista. 4.5 stars I was on the prowl for a spot to get some work done that has wifi, easy parking, charging outlets, comfortable seating and that serves real food beyond the standard cafe pastry and stumbled upon Wara Bistro. Parking: Plenty and free. Wara's located in a commercial area, so it's a breeze. Food: I ordered the Denver omelette (swapped for egg whites & asked for cheese on the side, easy accommodation) and a cappuccino to start. The potatoes that came with the omelette was delicious, crispy and not greasy at all! I spent most of the day here at the coffee bar working and eventually tried their fried chicken and turkey avocado sandwich too, both decent. Seating & charging outlets: Lots of outlets, see my photos (I circled them all). There are 3 seating areas: high top tables, a semi sectioned off area with tables and plastic chairs, and a coffee bar with about eight stools (there's a charging outlet strip that runs the length of the bar, see my photo, very laptop friendly). Service: Arnold greeted me right away and was friendly and accommodating. Theres a lot of potential here. The place could use a bit more warmth and polish...decor, ambiance, lighting..just something to make it feel more inviting to also draw in the non-lunch break crowd. Came with a large party of 8, you get the private conference room if you order over $75 - a perfect quiet room for all our chatting. The service was quick, you order at the counter and it all comes out pretty quick! We tried: The French Dip (new menu item): pretty decent version of this, although we wondered why this was the only item that came out on a disposable tray rather than a plate like the others. :) Fried Chicken Croffle: croffle had nice texture and made me curious about getting the croffle with mixed berries. Fried chicken was properly done, and I liked the side of chili syrup that Wara Bistro served with this dish. Since it comes with roasted potatoes and spring mix salad, it felt pretty well-balanced. Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict: not a super memorable version of this dish, but each component was properly executed and tasted yummy. This is a new brunch spot tucked away in one of the most peaceful areas in Irvine. Interesting location (it's in the middle of a bunch of office buildings), but I'm lowkey about it 'cus that means it's away from all the hubbub and chaos, and their outdoor patio is a whole vibe. Some of my faves are the Philly cheesesteak and the Ube French toast--highly highly recommend this, 10 out of 10. And you gotta try the Shrek latte which has matcha, brown sugar, and cinnamon...SO delish. I was there today for brunch. I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and the strawberry pancakes. I also had avocado toast. I didn't take a picture because I was so hungry and I couldn't wait to eat lol. The service was fast I didn't have to wait too long for my food. It looks very professional inside. You can drink a coffee and work on your laptop or you can hang out with friends on the patio. Would absolutely go back! Great food ans located off El Camino Real. I added this place to check out because they had made some list on Yelp and I can now see why! The restaurant is located in an office park and had plenty of parking and tables when we stopped in for a brunch. I ordered their shrek latte with the chicken and waffles and boy did it hit the spot. The chicken was perfectly fried and didn't have an oily feel to it with the star being the spicy syrup. I loved how the chicken wasn't overpowered with breading and I'd have to say it was one of the better spots that I've tried chicken and waffles. We got the eggs Benedict, creme brulee french toast, chicken croffle, and wagyu burger. My favorite had to be the creme brulee french toast and chicken croffle. The french toast wasn't overly sweet, had a nice crunch, but also custardy pillowy texture. The chicken croffle was massive! The croffle was one of the best I've had and the chicken was HUGE! A really nice cozy place with amazing food! Found this hidden gem scrolling on yelp and decided to give it a try with my cousin. I got their Breakfast Burrito and it seriously was amazing. I got mine with ham inside and their sauce they serve it with is a great match. My cousin got the Breakfast Sandwhich and while iy was good, it was simple. Simple is good though and I finished her other half of the sandwhich. If you are a more flavorful person though, I would recommend to go for something else. For drinks we got the Yuzu Refresher and the Double Matcha. I personally am not a Matcha person but my cousin who is, says their matcha is actually really good! Their Yuzu refresher was light and refreshing indeed! I would like to try their strawberry refresher next time though. I was really excited to learn that a new Wara branch was opening in Irvine as I often commute to Irvine. Their new location is really convenient (right off the 5 freeway). It's so spacious and such a nice spot for a breakfast/brunch. I really love that they have so much indoor and outdoor seating (especially love that outdoor space is all shaded). On top of that there's free WiFi which is ideal for studying/working. The best part was the food was just as delicious as their chino hills branch. Food here was delicious! We had the Ube waffles and avocado toast with egg and bacon! Their strawberry match was amazing! We got there around 10am and we were told they didn't have avocados for the toast but one of the workers quickly went to double check and turns out they did have it. Thanks for checking on that as we were excited to try it. The waffles were delicious along with the cream that it came with. Will definitely come back if we're in the area. In terms of the food, both my friend and I agreed that it was overall okay, not mind-blowing. Ordered a honey lavender latte, wagyu burger, breakfast sandwich and an almond croissant. honey lavender latte was so delicious! My sister and I literally chugged the entire thing. Perfect balance of coffee and sweetness. Almond croissant was divine! Would have eaten 3 of those if I could . My sister said her bfast sandwich was really good! The sourdough bread looked so good. I ordered the Wagyu burger and did not like it :( the patty tasted cheap. I knew it was a frozen patty. Wagyu doesn't mean it's going to be good. I think a regular patty would make this so much better. That's really my only complaint. The beef gave off a really gamey flavor that I'm not a fan of. I would def come back tho!
