Went in New Year's Day with my husband and 2 friends. We were told 45 min wait. After 1 hour we asked how much longer. We were then told "we are not currently seating anyone" no other explanation. We kept waiting and it ended up being 90 minutes from hen we originally walked in before we sat down. Thank goodness our server was nice. We ordered promptly but again, we're left waiting very very long for our food. We didn't order anything crazy, short stack, omelette, acia bowl & a hash skillet. Probably took 30+ minutes. In total our quick brunch turned into a 3+ hour outing. We will not be going back. For that wait I would've expected the food to be better. We had a group meeting that started at 7 AM, which is the opening minute of the restaurant. We were greeted warmly by Lena, who is an amazing personality and example of high service. When seated, she probably gave us the best coffee in the world, and brought all the extra garnishments. She was extremely attentive, the whole time that we were dying and discussing our daily items and left us with privacy when she knew we needed it. I needed to fuel up before we're heading home to LA and this place was on the way. I put my name on Yelp waitlist and as soon as we arrived, I let the front desk know that I'm on Yelp waitlist. He said oh we don't use it and asked how many people, open the tablet and saw my name on Yelp waitlist and said that I'm next on the waitlist. Very confusing and unprofessional. When we got to sit down, everything feels mediocre, from the service, menu and choices of food. Our waiter never asked how's our food and just came to take our order, brought the food and give our check. The food itself, it's very very moderate. I think I can make better egg, toast and serve with fruits at home. Definitely not my go to place when I'm craving a great authentic brunch. read more

We have lived in the desert for 13 years and for some reason have never tried The Broken Yolk. My husband and I decided to give it a try today. We put our name in online prior to arriving to help with the wait time. Upon arriving the restaurant was busy but not busier than expected for the Desert in May. The hostess was friendly and we were seated in about 5 mins. We waited for roughly 20 mins before anyone came to ask for a drink order. We gave our drink order and food order at the same time. Iced tea and coffee. Another 15 mins and still no drinks. I flagged down the hostess to get waters at least. Finally a coffee arrived but not iced tea. Another 10 mins and I asked the hostess when she walked by to pls get the iced tea because we apparently were not seeing that anytime soon. Our waiter was not checking on us at all. 50 mins into our visit and no food. The manager I believe asks how we are and we explain we have been here almost an hour and we have not received our order. He tells us our ticket is next and it must have been put in out of order. We would have walked out at this point but I do feel bad that they are cooking the food and I don't want that to go to waste. The waiter just doesn't seem to have any sense of urgency. I realize he has other tables but seeing tables sitting with no food for an hour should be a big concern. read more

Honestly, was a nice place to eat for my first time in Palm Springs. Like any other brunch place it's going to be packed and you'll have to wait a bit, but they have plenty of tables for both seating inside and outside as well as a bar. All the employees are super friendly with cool shirts! My favorite was "We got Huevos". I think my only complaint which isn't deemed worthy of being a complaint is I had two serves and neither told me their name. I only figured out at the end with the receipt our main server was Liliana she was cool and attentive with a great smile. The food was great! My burger was delicious although my wife's Monte Cristo was a little soggy and not crispy as it should've been. We waited awhile for our food, but like I said it's a lot of people and their menu is actually MASSIVE. So I can imagine how fast paced that kitchen has to be memorizing all these orders and trying to make them all presentable and how they should be made. we went here Sunday for breakfast. Got there at 7:05am right after they opened, we waited to get seated, but when we did the waiter was nice and friendly. Ordered drinks and breakfast items. Sat for almost an hour around 7:55 I had to flag down the waiter to get ice tea refilled. when he came over, I asked why it takes an hour to make eggs. we also noticed the couple that was there when we walked in had not gotten any food either. No real explanation just runs off. Five minutes later he brings out our Benedict and omelet, both cold and over cooked, the water melon had gone bad, grapes not washed and covered in lite dirt. we told them to take it back and complained to the manager. He did give us a card for 2 free meals, not sure we will use them. read more

If I could give - stars I would Genuinely the WORST restaurant experience I have ever had. DO NOT COME HERE. We came in during it at about half capacity. I'm in a group of 5 people. Took 25 mins to seat us and an additional 15 to take DRINK orders. Food took well over 45 minutes to receive and when it WAS received it was COLD ( do YOU like cold food ? ). bathrooms were unsanitary, floors wet and sinks not working. We were there so long the restaurant was closing and empty. I have never been so appalled to go to a restaurant. Truly unacceptable when paying $20+ dollars for a plate of effing eggs. Upon paying the manager stood by and took ages to sort 3 receipts. He seemed aware of the shitshow he's created (understaffing , food quality , cleanliness ) Waiters seemed to avoid eye contact due to the sheer understaffing. I feel bad for ANY crew working here and patrons alike. Genuinely an infuriating dining experience. If I can make and serve a meal faster at home and have it taste even better there's an issue. Completely ignored. The bathroom (women's) was dirty and the main door was broken. Many tables dirty. The bus person was making an extreme amount of noise cleaning tables. Also clearing table with the bus cart where people were still seated and eating. Many persons came after us and their orders were taken while we sat. The table we were seated at hadn't been properly cleaned, and there was trash on the sticky floor beneath us. It took about 10-15 minutes before anyone came by to take our drink order. We ordered the mimosa flight and noticed it was missing the garnishes that other tables received--not a major issue, but still worth noting. After another 15-20 minutes, a different server finally came to take our food order. By then, the restaurant had started closing the blinds and preparing to shut down, even though we had arrived at 12:20 p.m. and they closed at 2. Several tables who were seated after us received their meals before we did. When our food finally arrived, it was just okay--certainly not worth the long wait or poor service. Came looking for Eggs Benedict's and they have options... even a plate where you can have two different ones in one sitting... they also offered different choices for sides I got the Mexican rice... I'm a sucker for rice and not too many places have good rice, but it was good could have been fresher but I came close to closing so understandable. Inside there was an inadequate number of servers. The servers were doing both serving duties and attempting to keep up with the non-stop line of people coming in the door. This has all to do with ownership and management. You put all of these customers on your servers. It tells me that you care zero about your hired staff.
