I'm an expert tanner, but since moving to California I have struggled to find a respectable salon until I found Bronze in Belmont. Bronze was my third salon attempt and so far the absolute best. The beds are modern and well maintained, and you can tell the bulbs are replaced when necessary. I began tanning before the summer at a place in Burlingame only to find after about 5-6 weeks I wasn't getting any color at all. After 3 weeks at Bronze, I am at my deepest tanning level. Love the Magic tan- it's buy one get one free for the first time. $30.00 for 2 spray tans. I did the clear level 2 color which won't rub off on your clothes. You have to wear lose clothing after and it does smell. I usually do a 6pm spray tan then don't shower until the am and change my sheets in the morning because I can't stand the way they smell after the tan. Some of my friends don't think it smells bad when they do it, but not to be gross it's just an issue to not smell like clean soap instead smell like tanning spray is not for me... That's why I do it at night and shower in the morning, but the color lasts about a week and is very even and natural looking. read more

I really wanted to like this place. I'm giving more than one star because it is clean and nice...however, I had my first spray tan and it is a little hard to get use to. I was afraid I didn't get an even coat. So when leaving I told the girl that and she said come back tomorrow no problem we will put you back in. It takes several hours to see results so it wasn't until the late evening that I saw lines on my legs. Go back in the next evening because I was told no problem. But when I got there I explained to the girl that was there what I was told and she said no you have to pay again....what? I would have gladly come back again as a repeat customer but not now. Horrible customer service. You really want me to walk around with lines on my legs? Don't worry I'll be sure to tell everyone where not to go. read more

I've booked self tanning sessions two years in a row. I have never been dissapointed with the Staff or anything about the Salon. It's always super clean and everyone that I have worked with have been super friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone who desires a beautiful spray tan. The offer instant color or clear that gets darker in the next few hours. They both are great depending on your needs. I love this place! I don't go tanning very often but after I spent a month on the beach I wanted a place to maintain my tan for a bit longer before I turned into my usual winter ghost color. I've been to a few other places in the area in the last year and they all seemed kind of meh. Not Bronze. This place rocks! They provide you with a basket that has water, cold towel, and candy. Their rooms have hair ties, deodorant (spray), hand sanitizer and even cute little stickers to see how much you've tanned. All other places I've been to charge for all these items and don't seem like you need them until you're in the room. Prices are very reasonable when you buy during one of their promos. I got 2 tans in the matrix bed for $35 and a sample size lotion that another place charged me $6. read more

Love it! We actually had a few kid-free hours yesterday and decided it should be pampering time. So after a good workout, we tried out Bronze Tanning and were pleasantly surprised! The BF is a little tanorexic and is VERY picky about his tanning salons. (yes, it's okay to laugh, I do) But even he was impressed. We both did the high pressure beds. I love the little touches like the cold towels, water bottles, hair ties, deodorant, etc. And the girl who works there was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I am usually not a big fan of tanning, being skeptic of the cleanliness and outcome of my tan, but Bronze Tanning completely changed my opinion! The staff is incredibly knowledgable and friendly, making you feel comfortable to ask any question you may have. The beds are top of the line and the spray machine was amazing! I was going to Italy and didn't want to look pasty for my trip. The spray tan left me perfectly bronze, with NO streaks and not that orange color that I had gotten at other tanning salons. A friend recommended this place and I couldn't be happier. First of all, the place is impeccably clean and the atmosphere is totally relaxing. The staff is really helpful and they give you a little kit that includes water, towels and a candy. Inside the room, they have hair ties, toiletries and pretty much anything you could possibly need. I signed up for a package plan since I'm getting married this summer and it seemed to me to be a good deal (it's pricey to buy individual tans). I had to sign up for Yelp just to write this review. My husband and I came into Bronze Tanning a day before we were leaving on a two week out of country vacation. Both of us are regular spray tanners, so we decided to come here. I decided to pay more and get the double spray on my legs, we also both chose the darkest color you can have just so we made sure we could be our darkest for our trip. As hours passed we showed no color we figured it's just taking longer than usual. After going to bed and waking up the next morning to still NO color we were very disappointed. I called Bronze Tanning early in the morning before our flight, knowing they probably weren't open but planning to leave a message. No machine went on so I called back two weeks later (after returning home) to let them know what happened. The owner who was "too busy" with other things to talk to us and made the sweet girl at the front desk do all her dirty work said she wouldn't refund us because we didn't give them notice right "within 24 hours", even when I tried explaining that we had called before our flight and left the COUNTRY for TWO weeks. This isn't about money, it's about the principle of not getting something you paid for. We won't ever be coming back to Bronze Tanning because they need to figure out the issue with their booth and the owner needs to learn how to run a proper business and make customers want to come back. read more

My girlfriend kept telling me about this place. However I still had some tans left over at another local place and to be honest, I was comfy there, I had been tanning there for 10 years. I was never 100% happy but never 100% unhappy. So I finally went to Bronze 2 weeks ago. I was greeted by a wonderful woman named Rachael. I will be honest, I am a very needy client, and have had horrible experiences in the past with tanning. She spent time with me and helped me find the best lotion for my body, which was hypoallergenic. Im secretly jealous I cant use all the lotions they carry because of my sensitive skin, but his was the first time I did not breakout from the lotions! She explained the beds to me instead of just pointing to my room. These are not your normal beds anymore, these are space age looking beds that totally rock! I am going on vacation in a few weeks and she helped me plan out different beds to get the most color before my trip...WITHOUT BURNING. I had no clue there was a science to tanning, and this salon has figured it out! The salon is spotless and it feels clean, which is important to me when I have to lay nakie in a bed!!! The beds all have new bulbs, which I was an issue at my other salon! The amenities are endless, from the bucket(cold towel and water) they leave you in the room to hairbands incase you forgot your scrunchie at home! I am mad I did not discover this place sooner, I am shock I have been putting up with what I thought was a decent place. Bronze has completely changed my views on tanning salons! read more

Not coming back to this establishment. I walked in with a friend of mine, our first time to Bronze. So as any new customer would, we had questions in regards to the beds. I asked the red headed woman which of the beds is the most popular one. Her response was, "it depends on how much you want to spend. 20, 30 or 40." Ummmm...?thats not what I asked but ok. After asking her a few more specific questions and getting the same response for each of my questions I decided on one of the "40 dollar beds" I just got the feel that she was either uninformed and had no idea what features the beds have or she thought I couldn't afford one of the higher priced beds. She explained the bed shuts on its own and opens on its own. She never explained how I can stop the bed sooner than the set time or how I'd be able to open the door any earlier than the 12 min, of course I didn't even think of that until I was locked in the bed frying unsure wether I could take another min. But I had no choice. When I finally got out I wanted to wipe off some of the tanning lotion I purchased I couldn't do so because my friend and I were not given towels. First thing we said to each other when we left was, "I'll probably never come back here." Horrible service. Ps. The girl at the Redwood City location was much nicer and pleasant but their beds were not working due to water damage. read more

I've been going here for the past 3 years and have gotten a spray tan and have been in the Tornado bed before. I absolutely LOVE this place! The salon is very clean and they supply several materials in the tanning rooms which is very useful. Also, the employees are very friendly, helpful and give clear directions on how to use the beds or the mystic tan. I have gotten amazing results and will continue coming back to Bronze! read more
