I've been coming here a lot lately, with the most recent visit on 7/1/26. Their service is always excellent. Another small business who understands how to make their customers feel right at home. The first time I tried this place I had their pastrami. I've eaten pastramis many times throughout my life, and I can honestly say that theirs has completely blown everyone else's out of the water. The traditional pastrami fixings are delicious, but OMG, that bread is simply divine, and completes the experience, with me drooling with every bite . Since that first experience i've also tried their submarine sandwich, tuna sandwich, pizza, and house salad. All very delicious, and clearly seasoned and made with care. The portions are great, and the cost for what you're getting is quite reasonable. There's one table indoor, and a couple outside at the sidewalk. I mostly order to-go, but if the indoor table is available, I eat right there. It's a very small facility, but their energy is very inviting. I'll keep coming back whenever I'm in the area. Solid sandwich here - the Sam's Special, warmed up, had nice big flavors for an Italian sub on crispy fluffy bread, and a bit of welcome kick from peperocinis. Not exactly cheap, like $13, but that is about typical these days and I was not hungry afterwards. This is very much a local, mom and pop joint - expect maybe 2 tables and basically no atmosphere. So, we used to live and work in ES, and this place was a frequent lunch spot for the refinery peeps. We'd call ahead or flock to get the "soup Thursday" special - a caldo de res / beef soup, served with a toasted slice of bread and lemony dipping sauce, which would always sell out. I was in the area for a football game, and checked to see what was open. Luckily, I had about 20 min before closing. I called, no answer. So, I walked over from Jame after ordering vodka sauce to go (life hack). It looked empty and I shouted "hello" as I entered and he responded, seated behind the beverage fridge, working on closing books. I asked if he was taking orders, and he said no. I said, okay, don't worry about it. He then asked what I was going to order and I told him a tuna sandwich. He stood up and said he'd take care of me. I kept telling him it was fine, I'd come back, but he insisted. We talked while he made the sandwich from scratch, literally cutting up the white onion and mixing the tuna salad. I told him I used to work at Chevron, and loved coming here for lunch. I asked how business was, how he was doing, etc. Keep in mind, I hadn't eaten here in almost 6 or 7 years, but he said he remembered me. I asked if he was going to retire soon and he explained that he's got a little bit left, and hopefully someone will buy it, though his kids have chosen different careers. He's a sweet guy, I paid him significantly more for the sandwich for his troubles, and thanked him for doing me a solid. We shook hands and I said I'd come back when I'm in the area. Anywho, I scarfed the sandwich down in the parking lot before I headed home. I hate tuna with onions and too much mayo, but his seasoning and ratio is perfect. The bread was nice and fresh. The best sandwich in El Segundo! We always get the Sam Special (hot, with everything on it). Sooooo delish! The service is top notch too. Sam and family always greet us with a big smile. They are located on Main St just north of El Segundo Bl so easy to find and there is usually parking right out front. They have sidewalk seating which is a nice vibe as well. This is a great little hole in the wall Italian place. It is close to LAX so I can get over, pick up dinner and get back to work fairly quickly. The pizza never disappoints so that is my go to. But I stray and get lasagna, sandwiches, and salads now and then. Regardless of what I order I'm always satisfied with my meal. This is a very small storefront restaurant and being on duty I've never stayed to eat there. But I believe that there's a couple of tables that are available. I'm a big fan of shopping and dining small and local. Little Gourmet is a perfect example of a small local restaurant that does it well. We heard about Little Gourmet from our neighbor and are so glad we tried it! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome--super patient, honest with recommendations, and genuinely attentive. It was our first visit we got a pepperoni pizza with 1/2 jalapeño freshly sliced, ravioli they kindly gave us 1/2 beef 1/2 cheese. We also got a side of meatballs and sausage, which were very juicy! We got the hot sandwich called Sam's Special was absolutely delicious! They offer double meat which we will do next time! All this came with garlic bread and a side salad with dressing. I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to the amazing service at this place. I ordered a delivery to a friend's place as a surprise get-well gift right after an intensive surgery, but there was some confusion since I couldn't get a hold of them before the delivery took place. After half an hour, I got a call from the employee making the delivery saying that they had tried but the person who answered the door didn't order anything, and then I explained the situation. He was so understanding and told me that he would make it his mission to deliver this no matter what because it was a nice thing to do! He asked me for all the details I could provide so that he could convince them that the delivery was actually from somebody they knew haha. Needless to say, he made it happen within 5 minutes and we got a very happy phone call from our friend. On top of everything, the food was reportedly delicious! Huge thanks to Little Gourmet for making this happen and a very special gold star to the dedicated delivery man who went above and beyond. We'll be back soon! read more

This is one of the BEST hole in the wall places around!! Not once have I had a disappointing meal. The raviolis are AMAZING (my DH loves adding mushrooms to his); the pizza is delicious (the crust... YUM! And they bake pizza right - the pepperoni edges are crispy); and the sandwiches... I cannot rave enough about their sandwiches (it's the bread & fresh veggies that truly make it). The tuna sandwich is one of our favorites (it has sweet relish & finely chopped onions for Pete's sake! How can you go wrong with that?). The pastrami sandwich has plenty of mustard & pickles (on that lovely bread sent from heaven). The meatball sub is delicious as well, w/ big, tasty meatballs (That's what she said!) covered in their homemade marinara sauce on their delicious bread. Their turkey, roast beef, Submarine, Capicola & Sam's Special sandwiches are ALL tasty as well. Also, their cheeseburger. If you are ever in the mood for a homemade cheeseburger, this is your place. This was my son's week to pick a dinner so I gave him some places I saw on Yelp near El Segundo that had good ratings. He decided to give Little Gourmet a shot. Being a creature of habit, he went with the eggplant parmigiana dinner which he thought was good but not as good as Ricci's in Bellflower. My daughter ordered the fettuccine dinner which didn't seem to impress her much. My wife and I split a pizza with mushrooms and half sausage and half capicola. It's unusual to see capicola as a topping choice so I was rather excited by that. Unfortunately, I think it works better in sandwiches rather than baked on a pizza. It's not much different than having pepperoni but at least I tried it. I thought the sauce was very tasty but the crust was rather bland. What did impress me was a thick layer of quality mozzarella covering the pie. All of the orders were very generous portions so that was a plus. There is only street parking so my son said that was a bit inconvenient around dinner time. The service was friendly and pleasant. A dinner for 4 at a little over $50 was very reasonable. I look forward to trying some other items on their menu. Many people seem to enjoy their sandwiches so maybe we can pick up some of those next time. Recently tried their Fettuccine Alfredo and their Spaghetti and Meatballs. Thought the Alfredo was decent and filling. I'd order it again. The spaghetti and meatballs were a bit too bland to get again though. The salad the pasta comes with wasn't very good. A lot of white instead of green lettuce. Still love coming by here. One of the most amazing Middle Eastern restaurants I have found in southern California the food is to die for everything is fresh from the lamb to the chicken to the beef. I don't know what the official name is, but it's a cherry rice, and they mix right next with white rice the bread, the atmosphere, the ambience and the owner. She is amazing. I've eaten here a few times in the past couple months and had great food every time. I recently ordered a Greek salad that was one of the best I've had in a long time. Plenty of fresh ingredients and enough to share with a couple friends if you're having a pizza or sandwich. Three of us ordered a salad and 2 sandwiches and had plenty of food. The pizza is my favorite in El Segundo, and the price is reasonable compared to the competition. A great local gem! The owner is super nice and friendly. He really made us feel very welcome in his little shop. It was raining and the place mostly take out, but there were a few small tables against the wall and a few chairs so he let us close the door (there is a screen door and a glass door) so we wouldn't be too cold. The food was prepared fresh and from quality ingredients! My husband was very happy with his dish and my Greek salad was perfect! Absolutely the perfect Greek salad that I used to have and love. Been in El Segundo for about 12 years and finally decided to try this little restaurant on Main Street near the Rock & Brews. I was not disappointed with pizza and the meatball sandwich. About a week later my son asked if we could stop by and try their pizza bread, like the time before it didn't disappoint and the food is reasonably priced. YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2018 - PART 2: 33/100 Gone are those days when a personal 8" pizza with up to 6 toppings only cost $5.40 (tax included.) A fellow Yelper has mentioned that as well, but I remember liking it so much that I had to come back for it anyway. They've done an overhaul of the menu. I feel like they cut their menu items down to half of what they used to have. The personal pizza has been marked up a little over 20%, but that's just for plain cheese, so if you want additional toppings, that'll be $0.25/pop. I got one with 4: sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and olives. Total damage: $7.65 (tax included.) Pizza tasted great, but no longer great for the value. It's only been a year since my last trip here and the same pizza with less toppings cost a little over 40% more. Hardly a bargain. There are plenty of build-your-own pizza spots around here that can absolutely compete with this. ($7 unlimited topping pizza Tuesdays at PizzaRev, for one.)
