I would take Brooklyn Pizza over the chain guys any day. Sometimes the appetizers are undercooked and not quite right. The "double pepperoni" looks much like regular pepperoni anywhere else...not many more peps for the price. I guess regular pepperoni there is like 2 per slice. I rarely use yelp in the first place... and never leave reviews... and I'm actually very easy to please when it comes to food and service... But... Great pizza. Worst customer service. Every time. Ive worked in a very similar restaurant before... New York style by the slice pizza place with Bakers Pride ovens. Some of the funnest days. When you guys opened, i was excited because I love New York's style pizza. And it was awesome! Your employees on the phone and at the front counter were kind, helpful, and personable. The last few months on the other hand have been sloppy, unorganized, laughable on the phone... (especially when an employee confessed to taking the phone off the hook...). Comments like "what do you want?" over the phone don't show value towards the customer at all. When you make a "valued" customer feel like he or she is disturbing you by calling in... that's unacceptable... Orders, whether you like them or not, are keeping your doors open. Tonight was the tipping point. I noticed when I came in, the phone would ring and ring and ring, and the kid at the front never answered... then when he did, he would take the order then say things like "ya got it, bye, okay ya got it bye..." if that's a customer that he's rushing off the phone... YIKES. And yes, I recognize that's the kid I've been talking to most of the time when I call. If he's your son or a family member and you feel like you can't fire him... do it anyway, or put him in the back so he can't keep losing customers for you. He asked what my order was a few times, then said sorry we're busy. So I guess that's cool... but after I paid, no "have a good night" or "thanks" or "bye"... just awkwardly looked at the receipt to see how much I tipped, then kept looking at his phone. Experience is key in the restaurant business... and most experiences ordering from your staff have been awkward, confusing, rude, or incorrect. Sorry guys... Hire new people. At least people who know how to handle customers... That's always step one. You'll never sell pizza if the public doesn't like how you treat them. We've given you chance after chance because your pizza is awesome... but we definitely won't be coming as often... hoping you make some necessary changes, otherwise not sure how much longer you'll be in business.
