We had good service this early evening. My Caprese salad was just okay. For me, the sweet balsamic glaze was so overly sweet hat it tasted like it was from a bottle. I heard it was made in house though. The garlic knots were very good. The homemade sauce that accompanied them was not worthy of these cute bread knots. Had a very pleasant time at BV's, celebrating a family member's graduation. Started with cheese-melted garlic knots which were soft and flavorful. I had the spaghetti with clams which was delicious! Full of baby clams and garlicky, buttery, peppery goodness. Had lots left over for the next day. My companions raved about the stuffed shells and the rice balls. Service was attentive. I had my eye on the thin-crust pizza which many others ordered and will try next time. All in all, it was a great first visit and I'll be sure to return. This place was a-ok! My husband and I got takeout from here a few weeks ago. We purchased the garlic knots alongside a pepperoni pizza ! They are located in a shopping center, so easy to park. Upon walking in, we had to wait a short while before getting to the counter to pick up our food. The restaurant didn't smell great - maybe it's because the restrooms were right by the line area... maybe a one off thing... eigher way, glad we werent eating in. The garlic knots were awesome! Went to the Alma School and Chandler heights location and sat there for 15 minutes not a person came by for anything not a water or anything but a menu. I got up and I walked up to the counter and said nobody's been there for 10 or 15 minutes so you can have your table back. They just look at me. No, nothing no. Best NY style pizza in AZ and it's not even close. The garlic knots are great, bruschetta is better than most places, I haven't had a bad experience with the food or service staff. If there's a negative it's probably only sometimes pasta is served needing to be drained a little better. read more

A co-worker mentioned we should go and check this place out. It was an impromptu lunch as we found ourselves in the office that day. Which now a days is a rare occurrence. Personally I thought I had tried all the places around the office. But I was wrong. Brooklyn V's is a quaint little restaurant. They have tables and booths. They weren't that busy for lunch or a random Tuesday so we didn't expect our food to take too long. First we got the Garlic-knots which are to die for. When the Buffalo chicken Stromboli arrived It looked like it was the size of my arm. It def could be shared between two people :) Overall this place was an amazing experience. In the past we were all let down bc the pizzas came out incorrectly and the younger guy didn't even make the Bianco pizza correctly several times. So today my fiancé and I came in for lunch bc other places were closed for the coming of 4th of July and let me tell you what; the pizza today was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!; Turns out they hired this guy who was an Italian New Yorker named Vinny. Brooklyn V's is a solid pizza place that does remind me of home. If I had a 4.5 rating this would be it. They have a wide range of slices and portions are large and flavorful. A few of the slices were a bit heavy for me, but this is after all Brookyln style pizza. They have other entrees and appetizers along with a full bar. The sausage was fresh and the pizza cooked crispy just the way I like it. The slices were huge, and the restaurant was quiet, but did a fair amount of Grub hub business while I sat at the counter. Well I'd say for a hungry family of 5 this defiantly subdued our need for pizza today. We got a large pizza and 6 hot wings. The wings were my favorite part! The spiciness really didn't have a kick but I guess I'll be thanking them later when I'm not crying on the toilet. The pizza slices are pretty big and filled me to the brim with one slice! Whenever we're in the mood for authentic NY style pizza we go to Brooklyn V's. Although their pizza is my favorite thing because their crust is AMAZING and they load their pizza up with toppings the pasta dishes are good too. My fiance had the cheese steak stromboli and it was delish. If you are hungry you should definitely try one it's huge! Took up the whole plate and had ewwwy gooey cheese dripping out both sides....OMG so good. Now let's talk service. The hostess Lisa is so personable and down to earth. She gave us a lesson on the difference between a calzone and a stromboli. (Which is the shape and one has ricotta cheese and the other has mozzarella cheese). She also gave us the inside scoop on their cheesecakes that sell out super fast. What's the tip you ask? If you know that you'll be dining there over the weekend call about 2 days early and put in your request for your favorite cheese cake (the cannoli cheesecake is my fave) and they can make it for you. So the next question is, do I have to buy a $50 cheesecake if I do that? NOPE you can just buy 1 or 2 slices! Alternatively, if you just wind up stopping in be sure to go early evening if you want cheese cake and tell your server up front and they will put your name on the slice in the back to reserve it so it won't get sold out while you're dining. Then you get to have your favorite dessert and be disappointed. Now if you are not interested in cheesecake but want cannoli's there's are super rich, and delish! The food isn't bad... it's just inconsistent. The fun new thing they started doing is cancelling my DoorDash order... put it in around 8:15, was to be delivered by 9. By 9:15 it said the dasher was waiting to pick it up, by 9:30 they cancelled the order, leaving me with no dinner after a long day. My wife and I stopped in to try this spot for a late lunch. We will definitely be back, again. My wife had a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese. She said it was the best pizza she's ever had. The dough was nicely risen, with crispy bubbles all around the edges. The crust is thin and folds, if that is what you want. The sauce, cheese, and pepperoni were all excellent. I had the sausage ravioli with alfredo sauce. The pasta was al dente. The Italian sausage flavorful and medium spicy. The alfredo sauce was perfectly balanced and creamy. I personally find their food (preparation and presentation) to be the best casual Italian in the East Valley. Favorites include the Eggplant Parmesan and Pepperoni-meatball-sausage Stromboli.
