Thanks to fellow Yelpers, We were able to find this place for early dinner. We ended up coming here twice during our stay. We sat outside. The weather and the views were just perfect. We tried the fresh salmon fish & chips $12, prime rib french dip $15, calamari pieces $12, tri-color nachos $12, mini cheese burger sliders $12, sesame crusted rare ahi $14. Everything was pretty good. I didn't care for the ahi it wasn't anything special flavor wise. We loved the french fries (sweet potato and regular) that came on the side. We also had the s'mores $5 and peach-blackberry cobbler $5 for dessert. S'mores were good not too sweet. Was disappointed with the cobbler sine the ice cream was melted by the time waitress brought it out. Overall we're happy with this place. This will be one of our Tahoe must stops. read more

After a day of eating Heavenly's resort food, this was a breath of fresh air. I'm a San Francisco food snob and the Firecracker salad was fresh and yummy. I can't think of anything to improve it. So if you need to eat something healthy and fresh with great views, this is the place. read more

I love the patio here for a nice, casual lunch. The service is friendly and professional. The last time my girlfriend and I sat inside for dinner and we both had the steak salad which was overcooked (well done), however they did not ask us for a preferred cooking temperature when taking our order. This is a hidden gem of South Lake Tahoe. I've been here on each of the last two visits, and the food, service, and atmosphere were amazing. I enjoyed the crab dip and the salmon, while others in our group enjoyed the chicken pot pie. There was plenty of room to stretch out and catch up as a group. read more

This place is beautiful. Right on the golf course with an excellent view!! The outdoor seating was great, and the food was also great. They just switched over to there to there summer menu, so my boyfriend got the chicken sandwich and sweet fries and loved it. I got the mixed greens with salmon, and love love loved it! We arrived at Brooke's about a half hour before sunset . We were seated outside with a beautiful view of the lake, and we were able to watch a beautiful sunset. Excellent food. We ate here twice in the last two days. We had the hamburgers, Brussels sprouts, chicken wings, Mac salad, mix platter, sliders, French dip sandwich, chicken tenders (kids meal). The French dip sandwich was to die for. It was incredible. The Brussels sprouts and hamburgers were excellent. The kids meal excellent and could feed an adult. Everything was great, except for the chicken wings. The wings were a dry rub and a bit too spicy for our taste. The rub was a little too thick unless you like eating spicy rub for a meal. I was recently married in beautiful Lake Tahoe and had the pleasure of playing Edgewood golf course. We played the course for my dad's seventieth birthday and it so happened to be the day prior to my wedding. We had my father's friends meet us at the restaurant to surprise him but really set apart the experience was no less than five employees including the starter on the course said Happy Birthday and congragulated me on my wedding the following day. The food, ambiance and service were all superb and we enjoyed our time there. If I'm ever in the area I will always find my way to this very special place. read more

Let me start by letting you all know that I have been in the hospitality industry for 10 years, so I have a lot to compare to. This place is extremely overpriced for the quality of food and service. The food was mediocre, the waitress had an attitude, and they got the order wrong. They asked if I wanted them to bring out the correct side, but by the time it came out, we were all done. Finally, they said they could not split our check. Now, having been installing POS systems for 10 years, let me tell you, EVERY system worth purchasing CAN split checks, so, either this overpriced establishment will not spend the money on a decent POS system, or they just don't give a crap about the service to thier customers. Bottom line, don't bother, especially when there are so many more options in the area. read more

Beautiful location on the golf course and lake. Menu is limited but had a good variety. We had the Mezze Platter which was excellent and the portions were large. We tried the cheeseburger sliders, salmon fish and chips and the chicken wings. Our 10 year old who usually eats buffalo wings did not care for the chicken wings, my husband and I thought they were OK. Highly recommend, great food and service and beautiful view. read more

When in doubt, I always head to a nice golf course bar with a view. This place did not disappoint, a hidden gem. Had dinner here with fam on the patio. Overall the best dinner we had while Tahoe. The food was reasonably priced and very good. Decent wine list with very generous pours. Service was ok, server was a newby, but overall he tried and was very friendly. View of lake at sunset is killer. I cant think of too many restaurant venues that top this. Wasn't too crowded, walked right in at 7:45pm in the summer. Do yourself a favor, take a break from the tourist traps at Heavenly Village and check this place out. We ate dinner at the more formal Edgewood restaurant the next night. It was good, but no outside dining and the food/menu was not as good as the bar menu at Brooks. read more

Ordered chicken wings for lunch. They served something other than wings. It was dark meat and not very edible. Lots of tough meat not chewable. The food was delicious, the staff perfectly friendly and attentive, and the view was stunning. The prices were great too! My husband and I shared the hummus plate and the taco plate. We wanted to linger, and the staff was really accommodating letting us draw out our experience for a couple of hours. I am glad we shared our plates because I saw some of the other orders - HUGE portions. We don't like to over-eat, so we always share. There are many more things I'd love to try on their menu. And I would encourage the management to expand the wine list a little. It wasn't that interesting, so I had beer - which was great. Other than that everything was great. Dined here last weekend for dinner with my family and had a wonderful experience! All the food was delicious. We had the prime rib dip, salmon fish + chips and a burger and were not disappointed. The atmosphere is awesome as well as the service. We enjoyed it so much, we ended up going back for Sunday brunch! We expected it to be much busier then it was, but did not mind getting out first choice of seating outside. They had a breakfast buffet and omelet bar. All of the food was delicious. My husband and I had the pleasure of having lunch at Brooks' Bar & Deck at Edgewood Tahoe on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. If I could provide a rating higher than 5 stars I would do so for the following: 1) Atmosphere - We dined on the patio overlooking beautiful Lake Tahoe and the golf course; how could one top that? 2) Service - Our waiter and waitress, Kent and Kendra, were very customer service oriented, courteous, friendly, attentive, prompt and efficient. 3) Beverages/Food - We recommend the deept fried calamari that comes with deep fried artichokes and green beans with an aioli sauce, delicious! Our entrees, likewise, were delicious with generous portions. Bar beverages were equally excellent. In summary, next time we are back in South Lake Tahoe this will definitely be a restaurant we look forward to returning to. Thank you! read more

A real disappointment. On the plus side, the location and views are terrific. On the negative side, the food is mediocre at best. I had the salmon fish & chips. The salmon was over cooked and nearly inedible. My friends had the mahi tacos, the chicken sandwich and the turkey blt. All reported their meal to be just ok. We had ordered the appetizer platter, but it came out with the entrees instead of ahead of time. When we complained they said "sorry, the kitchen is backed up". This excuse made no sense, so they finally comped the appetizer. Bottom line: there are many other, better places to eat in south lake tahoe. read more

Verrrry disappointing! Vibes were not good. We were two women, well dressed mother and daughter, on a weekend trip to Tahoe. Looking for a scenic location to brunch. We arrived 15 min before breakfast service was scheduled to end. It took a while for our server to get to our table. It was still before breakfast service ended when she arrived and we asked for breakfast. She said she'd need to check with the kitchen. She returned, still ahead of end time, and told us they would not serve breakfast, so we left. I think when you post specific meal service times, those times should be honored. Really cannot express enough disappointment in my experience with this restaurant. With indoor seating limited in the Lake Tahoe area we made reservations here three days in advance. The day of our reservation Shawn from the restaurant called and left us a message to confirm our reservation. We returned the call and spoke to (Kiersty Ann). It seems there was a incident at the restaurant (a gas leak) that caused our reservation to me delayed from 5:15 to 7:15. No big deal we can be flexible and we were. We moved our afternoon schedule around to accommodate them. Upon arriving, the gate guard informed us that all of the restaurants were closed and he could not find our reservation on his list. That seemed unusual since we just hours earlier received a phone call to confirm our reservation. We called Shawn at number he left a message from earlier and spoke to him. It seems that the restaurant was in fact open but that our reservation wasn't on his list and that they were totally booked for the evening. Anyone who's been in Tahoe during July knows that the wait times for restaurants are extremely long with indoor dining closed in California. So on a Saturday night at 7:15 with hungry four kids in tow, we're searching for somewhere to eat. But it won't be Brooks' Bar and Deck. Good luck to you if you're going to give this place a shot. read more

This place is absolutely phenomenal. I don't even know where to start! From the breathtaking views to the excellent service, I can't say enough. I had my wedding celebration here and they went above and beyond what they had to do. Our waitress was attentive and so pleasant. From bringing out the appetizers and numerous drinks to the cutting of the cake, she was right on top of everything! We could not have asked for a better experience.
