The customer service is trash. Ive been paying for a service for over a year. I needed gopher service, paid $40 4 times, they never caught the golpher. The last service they did, they suggested buying trap from home depot. They charged me the 40 again. Once I told them about it the refunded the 40. I called today to cancel the service and they told me I signed a new contract. False! The told me it would be $240 to cancel. Lol. I hung up then they charged me $40 on my card to take back the gopher refund. I don't know how that works but now it's getting serious. Worse customer ever for a new company especially having been with them 18 months. After they took $120 from me, they expect me to just continue a contract. There is plenty more pest control companies out there. If that's how these companies treats Law enforcement, i don't want no parts of them. read more

I should have know when it started with the incessant door to door sales. Kid was nice and I needed the service at the time but it's been terrible. I had to contact multiple times for them to actually perform the spray in the front and back or to deliver the items they said they would, Everything is an Upcharge or isn't covered and their chemicals aren't effective. They don't communicate the times of service and their phone customer service is terrible. They hung up on me when I called and cancelled my contract. I was told I needed to pay around $300 to cancel and I said yep let's do that! then was told that was no longer an option? They don't complete the services as promised and even caused property damage to my house causing siding and shingles to fall. On Memorial Day dude shows up at my front door at 10am. It is a National Holiday FFS so I do not answer the door. Then the guy comes back at 4pm in the afternoon. This time I open the door and the dude tries to sell me his bug bomber contract. I'm like "Dude it's Memorial Day! What are you doing?" The kid then relays "yeah and it's also my birthday!" Haha! Was with this company for a few months. My roach problem got worse. They ruin my baseboards by saturating my house with the water that they were using because the chemicals that they claim to use. Never worked force me to stay in a contract. If not, I would have to pay penalty fees even though I was not getting the service that I expected or higher than 4 went ahead. This company insisted on a yearly contract when I hired them for gopher control They never caught a gopher because they didn't have the right equipment. When I wanted to cancel they threatened to charge me $200 cancellation fee I wasted my money to a fraudulent service. Brooks charges double if you cancel their year-long service contract. I asked them to cancel anyway because I needed to find a good and reliable service. They keep taking money out of my credit card account. I let the doubled charge be paid, even though it's a rip-off. After that, there is no reason for them to be taking money from me. I told them not to come back and they certainly have not. I have my credit card cancel the further payments. Now they keep sending me collections notices for no services performed. The first day, and only day of service, I waited in my car on a hot day for four hours for their call that they are arriving. They said they'd call. When it was past the four hours, I called their office to see why they didn't come. I was told that they did come. I looked inside the unit and couldn't see or smell any evidence. The service man left notes online, saying he did the basement and ground perimeter. I have no basement. It's a 2nd floor unit in a large building. I don't think they would have done the perimeter. One comment in the notes made me believe that maybe the agent actually had been inside. OK, I'll pay the $175 for that little visit although I saw no dead roaches in the days after the supposed treatment. After I hired another service, the floors were covered with dead roach bodies, making me think I should have seen that after Brooks' supposed service. Then I paid the $175 cancellation fee that Brooks took out of my credit card as they would not release me from that. I does state on their website that it's double the charge if you cancel. That's double the service fee for cancelling because it was so bad and I no longer wanted them and I told them on the phone more than once. I called texted and called to cancel the services and paid the $175 cancellation fee. They ignored my cancellations and kept charging me for nothing. I received no known benefit from their association with me. read more

And didn't get the service they promised. They told me everything to make me want to sign up, and then when there is a problem. Like termites. They tell you to call someone else. To just google it. Also they send people out to your home that want to spray the wrong area, and then run. My backyard was never taken care of. The hang a note on your door telling you that you got service and in small writing on back of door, they say that service was only done on front yard. Not around the house. I called to cancel service and they charged me. As soon as I hung up they charged my credit card. This service is a Rip off. Never will i tell anyone to use them. It's very dishonest they send people door-to-door to sell you things and promotions and change it when it is time to sign and unbeknown to the customer you were signing up for something that you had no knowledge of being signed up for and when you try to cancel there is a $271 cancellation fee on top of that being charged $35 each month while getting no service for $35 is a dispute fee when you try to dispute it through your bank they will not waive any of these Which is nonrefundable no matter who you talk to this company does not care about it customer and has very poor customer service no help no other options. They canvas our neighborhood in Citrus Heights endlessly. It's always the same story. They are doing some work, supposedly, for {insert name here} and wanted to come by. Their reviews are terrible. We have pest control. I've seen a few dozen visits from them in several months. They saturate a market and don't even track visits. I am sick of them. I have to wonder about a company that throws so many bodies and so much time into door to door sales. Product must be crap. The briefest of internet searches quickly reveals: product is crap. I'm writing this to help others out. please do not sign a contract with this company. they will scam you as they have hundreds of customers. the sales rep showed up at my door, claimed that others in my area were using the same service for a hot deal, he claimed that I was able to cancel at any time. he sold me on a one time service of $109, then I was charged $55 the following month. when I called to dispute this charge they stated I would be charged a $240 cancellation fee. Then they tried to sell me on only doing bimonthly or quarterly treatments. After reading tons of negative reviews & how much of a nightmare this company is to deal with I decided to take the cancellation fee. please beware this company is great at scamming people out of money. This company ripped me off. They didn't treat my home for the specific pest I had. The treatment was totally ineffective. I called and complained and I got a bunch of excuses when I asked for a refund. I ended up treating my home myself with Permethrin 2 weeks after their fake treatment. They actually made my flea infestation worse because the flea population kept populating. And instead of a refund to try to make it right they charged me 200 bucks to cancel the contract. I left my initial negative review on June 11, 2024, regarding Brooks refusal to return to my home to remove gopher traps they supposedly set, although I had paid for June service. I went with a new pest company, and today, June 17th, the company arrived and inspected the dirt mounds the Brooks technicians had flagged. He started laughing, and told me the guy had merely dug out a chunk of sod, placed the trap upside down, and put the sod back!! There was no tunnel, just a random hole that he dug and flagged. Worst pest control company ever. DO NOT USE THEM! They scam you from the beginning, not mentioning their huge $250 cancellation fee, and hoping you don't notice it when you sign your contract. They are quick to take your money, but don't want to come out. Their scheduling is the worst. They pick the day they come out, and sometimes they just show up out of nowhere. They are supposed to come every other month, but it's inconsistent. I had to call them and ask for a service window, they gave me a 4 hour service window. Then they had someone call me back later and cancel my appointment and told me that they would come another day and gave me a 9 hour service window! When I said that day wouldn't work for me, and that I would call back to reschedule the man threatened that I would lose the service for that month. He demanded that the time to reschedule was now. I told him no, I am driving, I will call back. He was so rude! Then they showed up at the original appointment time with no notice! Very rude, unprofessional and a scam, so I used brooks for a few months and pests continued to get worse as if they were feeding or attracting them, my mom before she passed away had orkin and never had issues, after she passed I had to cancel everything and get the estate in order. so after several months, a Brooks salesperson came to the door and sold me service. After I seen it wasn't working I emailed them to cancel 4/26/2024 and today after their tech came out and the charged me I called them and they gave me some BS about they sent me an email stating that I could not cancel through email and that I had to call an email I didn't see until today I tried to ask them after they told me it would be a 200.00 fee to cancel the contract early if they could just use the 180 they already took and I would give them the other $20 to make the 200 since I did ask to cancel back in April they told me know the guy was extremely rude and when I asked to talk to a supervisor he said he was the highest person there was and would not connect me to anybody else I've already reported this to my bank as I have the email showing that I asked on April 26th to cancel my bank has already refunded my money and I'm sure they will take it up with the company but I want you to be aware of the slimy company. TERRIBLE customer service! They claim to be able to take care of gophers, but then only come out once a month which I'm realizing will NEVER take care of the issue.
