I would not use them again and have already advised others to not use them as it seems they have changed. I have used them numerous times in the past and each time my total for a 1bd1ba move was around $450. I have all of the same belongings and still moved to a 1 bd/1ba and it cost me $750. They did stop at a furniture store to pick up a sofa for us which was 20 mins away (which we did appreciate!!-- Even though their boss repeatedly said we didn't appreciate because he didn't like me voicing my concerns on how long the move was taking). So sure add an extra hour to our normal move cost of $450 and that would have covered the pickup of the sofa. It took 20 mins to get there, 20 mins to load sofa (generous as it was placed at very front of the store next to the doors) and 20 mins to get next Location. Even sent us a picture when they arrived at store of the sofa. But no- before I had even called to complain there was absolutely no hustle just leisurely walks to and from the moving truck. The men were nice, just not the same energy we've seen before from this business. We were almost on hour 7 when I decided to call, because it was so aggravating. I haven't encountered that before with this company it was a definite change of pace. Also, before I had called, and I know it was before because I mentioned it to Kelly, while I spoke to on the phone, that they had started just dropping whole stacks of boxes and my partner had to start moving everything herself room to room. As they had literally just walked the giant stacks right in and left them there. It was atrocious. They left our tv on the couch and I then had to pay someone at TaskRabbit the next day to come hang it. I have never encountered an issue like that with Brothers Movers before, but it was awful. If I wouldn't have called there is no doubt our move for a 1bd/1ba would have taken 8 hours. Unbelievable. Their manager, a man, called a mover and had him hand me the phone to basically yell at me and tell me I wasn't appreciative and that the reason it took so long was x,y,z. All his excuses were irrelevant, which I told him that when we spoke. We won't use again, mostly due to the customer service on the phone being a complete turn off, but they have been really great movers in the past. And to clarify I'm leaving a Yelp review because how they spoke to us as customers was disrespectful and unacceptable. Also, if their company had switched to this new company it clearly shows in their lack of motivation to complete the job in a timely fashion. Yes, I told the guy I spoke to that I was done being yelled at on the phone and that I would leave a review instead when I handed the phone back for the FINAL time to his movers. We just moved from our 1BR apartment to a 2BR townhouse and used Brother Movers and were not disappointed! We would always see their trucks on the road and figured they must be good so checked here on Yelp and sure enough, very good reviews! So our move: we booked them a few weeks in advance and they were very communicative leading up to the day of the move, letting us know their procedures, pricing, and then confirming along the way. They were set to arrive between 12noon-2pm and they sent a message that their ETA was 11:50 so they arrived promptly. Our apartment was on the third floor (no elevators) but it didn't hinder their 2-person team at all. They had all of our items protective wrapped, moved safely down the stairs (!) and into the truck. That was the most time consuming part as after arriving at our new place, they rolled out the red carpet (literally!) as they unloaded the truck and asked us where they wanted everything placed. Everything made it in the same condition it was taken in, even disassembling and reassembling the entertainment center. They were not native English speakers but this did not make any difference as technology allowed us to communicate just the same. The two men were friendly and responded to our requests in a positive way. Pricing was fair and again, the pricing structure was shared ahead of time and the team has their arrival and end time all documented. For us, moving is NOT fun. The amount of stairs certainly make a difference. I had communicated the flights per building ahead of time. I wish the coordinator had shared other options with me, like adding a 3rd mover to speed things along. Because I was new to this I didn't realize I needed 5 business days to book reserved street parking via SFMTA for the moving day. I had to agree to pay any parking citations in order to move forward with the move. Amazing service , recently I had a move from a 1B1B to a 2B2B , I happen to choose them based on a recommendation from a relative. I was hoping they would do a good job , to my surprise they did an amazing job. The entire move was done in 4 hrs. The team also provide moving boxes at a deposit of 10$ per box (which is refundable, once you return the boxes post move ) The only downside of the team is their moving team speak very little English.
