As much as I'd like to give them a glowing 5 star rating, I was less impressed with their service. The team of two arrived 45 mins late (granted it was a drizzly morning) and took 7 hours to complete the job of a 1b1b move and around $1k, which is the highest I've ever paid so far. There weren't any unprompted wall wrappers applied for wall protection unlike the other photos in the reviews. Overall, in hindsight, the team could have been three to help expedite the move. Most items were moved without any problems. But they took very little care in moving my plants and broke a stem or two of the succulents. The team needed a lot of direction and the language barrier only added to the complexity. This was our third time moving a similar sized home and we've seen better movers in the Bay Area. All said, we appreciated the team's flexibility and commitment to do a good job. And the offsite team was VERY responsive on texts which was also appreciated. read more

I had such a great experience with this moving company! The team was incredibly efficient and professional from start to finish. Reserving the building elevator made things easier for them. I also didn't need to dissemble the furniture beforehand; they wrapped everything up and handled with care. Loading everything from my old apartment into the truck took about the same amount of time as it took me to drive to the new place across the bay bridge -- they were that fast. Unloading everything from the truck to my new apartment was also quick because of bigger elevator. I was seriously impressed by how smoothly everything went. Getting an estimate was quick, and they provided the liability insurance certificate right away, which was perfect for buildings with strict requirements. Their pricing is very competitive, and there were no surprise fees. I received reservation confirmation a few days beforehand, and I was able to communicate over text. The movers also messaged me before they were about to arrive. Great communication! They do prefer cash payment, so make sure to have enough on hand before moving day. I used this service to help pick up and move several pieces of furniture last week. The business was very communicative and allowed for last minute adjustments and changes. I hired 2 movers and they worked very hard to move my stuff and did not overcharge me for time (used 15 minute increments). One note is the movers communicated better in Mandarin. Luckily I speak Mandarin ok. I think they're proficient in English too, but I was able to ask for some specific things because I could do it in their first language. The company gives you a two hour window when they can start working, so if you are scheduled for later in the day, it's likely that it will start in the latter part of the window. This was our first time using professional movers, so I was a bit skeptical. To be safe, we packed and moved a lot of the smaller items ourselves, leaving only the large furniture and big boxed items for them. We even taped up the furniture in advance, not knowing if it was necessary. When the three movers arrived, I initially thought the process might take a while since they were all quite slim. But as soon as they started working, I was blown away by their incredible strength and efficiency! They quickly wrapped all the furniture in protective blankets and secured it with tape--so our own taping efforts turned out to be unnecessary. They moved everything from our three-story, three-bedroom home into their truck in just two hours--much faster than I expected. Once we arrived at our new place, they unloaded everything just as quickly, finishing in another two hours. They were also very careful, placing rubber walkways on our carpeted stairs and removing their shoes when stepping on carpeted areas. At the end, they even offered to help lay out rugs and furniture, but we declined since we weren't sure of the layout yet and wanted to clean first. There was a slight language barrier, but it wasn't a major issue. We offered them water, but they were so dedicated they didn't even stop for a break! Some of our dining chair legs got scuffed, but that was the only minor issue--no significant damage, which is to be expected during a big move. Overall, we were very impressed. These movers were professional, extremely hard-working, and fast. The only hiccup came when we returned the moving boxes we had borrowed. At the office, they claimed we had already returned 2 out of the 15 boxes and would only refund us for 13. I explained that we hadn't returned any boxes prior to this and had just brought back all 15, which they had counted themselves. The staff member kept insisting we had already returned 2, which was frustrating--how could that be possible when they had just confirmed we brought back all 15? It might have been a language barrier issue, but in the end, they refunded us the full amount. Despite that small misunderstanding, hiring Brother Movers saved us a lot of time and hassle. The pricing was reasonable, and we also tipped extra on top of the mandatory tip. If you're hesitant about hiring movers, I can confidently say it's worth it--especially with a team as great as this one! Next time, I'll leave everything to them. read more

Upon arrival they keep note of the time they start and when they finish and gave us a breakdown of the cost. We were in awe with how they packed all of our furniture and belongings. They really are the experts in packing and moving. They handled everything with care and if they were unsure about something they asked for our opinions and guidance. Even with unpacking they offered to assemble and arrange things for different rooms which we kindly appreciated. Other things that were really nice was having the ability to pick up boxes from their Fremont office. Very happy with the move and the pricing. I had been having no luck finding movers in my budget that weren't constant scams and spam calls, wish I checked Yelp earlier. They are very no frills, very flexible so it is quite easy to book and almost too casual A few friends recommended this place, otherwise the initial call would've made me skeptical since they do require a deposit, but I was also reassured by the yelp guarantee. Our move was from San Jose to Seattle and they said they would pack at 8am and get there next day by 8am which is the fastest any company told me, almost too fast so I had to book a flight lol. The mover got here 3 days before to scope out the items. Then contacted me to see if they could pack a few things a day early to speed things up. Since one of us was also driving for the move, we wanted to leave ASAP the day of so we were very happy with this option and that he was available to do that. He was even willing to come an hour earlier because we all just want to get home lol. Like others said, the actual mover doesn't speak English but if you know chicken scratch first grader Mandarin and point, he understood ok and uses Google translate too. You don't get moving boxes for free for long distance moves but you do get to borrow wardrobe boxes for clothes. Very respectful of new house and carpet as well even when I was concerned about the wet floors from the rain. I would recommend them for any move for sure, too bad they are local! BEWARE of Brother Movers. I recently contacted this company for an upcoming out-of-state move and was initially given a very low, cash-only estimate -- which raised some red flags right away. Wanting to do my due diligence, I asked them to confirm that they handle out-of-state moves and requested their DOT number, as well as proof that they are bonded and insured (which is standard for any legitimate moving company). After that, they completely ghosted me. No response at all -- even after I followed up a second time. A reputable moving company should have no issue providing their licensing information and insurance details. The lack of transparency and sudden silence speaks volumes. read more

We made the genius /s decision to move out of our apartment when I was seven months pregnant! Our family of three is supremely messy and has way too much stuff, so we asked them to help with the packing. It was a task that might daunt anyone, and halfway through, I realized two people were just not going to be enough. (PLT: do NOT underestimate the amount of work required. If you have a lot of stuff, ask for three people right off the bat.) Brothers had the advantage of offering us their boxes beforehand, so we could pack and move what we wanted on our own. (Please be kind and actually return the boxes; apparently people like to just forfeit the deposit and keep them!) Their staff was efficient and respectful and didn't drop, lose or damage anything that we know of, and it's been months since we moved in. I would not hesitate to recommend them, although I will confirm that their workers mostly do not speak English. We could speak Mandarin so this was not an issue, but in case you don't, Google translate is your friend :D read more
