Had an amazing time at Brothers Drake thanks to my girl Mendy! She took the time to explain the diff meads to us to help make our flight selections. I found 2 fave meads and I can't wait to go back to try a couple more. The vide is very chill and welcoming.

I've been aware of Brother's Drake for a while, but hadn't stopped in until this weekend with a friend from out of town that likes mead. We had a bit of a time finding it, the building isn't marked and we missed the street level sandwich board sign, but now we know! Note that you'll likely have to start park in the Short North. We booked a tasting, and holy cow! The tasting is advertised as 5 samples, but Julian kept bringing them out, and after 9 samples, we staggered out in search of tacos. The tasting flight comes with a little info sheet to tell you about each variety- traditional, sweet, herbal, etc, and the team is super knowledgeable. They keep a conversation going with their guests about your likes, interests, and preferences. You learn a little about the process and Julian was really passionate and seemed excited to share his plans for new varieties. But if you want to learn that, you'll have to go visit! You can pick up a bottle of the current or more popular varieties in the way out. We got the Strong-arm- Apple Pie aged in cask. So good!

Such a wonderful meadery! We toured years ago and have been meaning to come back. We were so excited to make our own flight of some of our favorites and some new options. The wild ohio is always amazing. If you've never tried Mead or been to a meadery then you should definitely take the time to visit.

Really fun experience. Learned alot. Friendly knowledge staff. Got to taste a few different types. Good stuff!

Do they serve food here? Someone mentioned they are attached to a "service bar that serves food", does anyone know the name of this establishment? Thank you!

This is a honey meadery that's family owned. They have plenty of varieties and the owner is usually there to talk to you about the process and how all of the meads he makes came to be. The pricing is fair based on what I've seen other places and can get pricey if you're buying a large bottle. You can choose to buy a bottle, a glass , or a flight of different ones to choose from. The menu is also very easy to understand. I'm not sure if this place is still opened because google indicates it's permanently shut down, but the FB page says it's still open. You may want to call before visiting.

Turns out, it not only happened, but it's a really great family-run business as well. The menu is fairly large, but any of the staff can speak to which one you'll like best. Some is REALLY sweet, some a little tart, and some tastes like fruit juice - but watch those, because they're all in double-digits with the alcohol by volume! We tried several, but my favorite was the Almond Joy. They took Chocolate and coconut and it really tastes just like an Almond Joy. My wife liked the Cranberry and the raspberry varieties. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the Strawberry rhubarb, but maybe next time! If you've got someone in your party who would just as soon stick to beer, it's okay to byob - same with sandwiches or shareables. They're only open on the weekends, but it's a really neat idea, and I strongly recommend you try it.

I have brought several of my grape wine loving friends to Dutch Creek and they all leave pleasantly surprised with purchased bottles in hand. Love this winery's location too. Enough away from the hustling college town to provide a calm and pleasant experience, yet very convenient to the local restaurants to make for a lovely first course to your evening's meal. I can't say enough good things about this unique winery. Their bee to bottle process rivals any other wineries I've visited, which includes those of Germany and Italy that we have enjoyed. Yelp needs to create a special category just for Dutch Creek Winery.
