Wowsa what a meal!!! Friends had posted beautiful pics of their meals from their tasting menu. It's cute: half the restaurant is a traditional dining room and the other is take out fish and chips. You can have a delicious meal a la carte or the tasting menu. I could not convince my husband to do the 15 course chef's tasting menu. But we did do the tasting menu with wine. Every dish was light, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. We enjoyed the wine pairings which were different (portuguese and spanish wines rounded out some American and South African wines). I am excited to come back to try more of their traditional menu and their namesake (fish and chips). Well worth a visit. read more

Food is good. We have to wait for a long time for the food to come out. Service is good. This restaurant does not have enough people to work. They need more waiter or waitress. Incredible. My partner and I have had both the fish + chips (which are crunchy, crispy and fresh every time) as well as the chefs tasting menu and we were blown away. Elmer, the owner of this unsuspecting gem in Ossining, is an Artist. He clearly buys the highest quality ingredients, the freshest fish and curates creative, artful, unique and beautiful dishes. You can taste the love in his food. We suggest going earlier than we did for the tasting (we went at 8pm) since it is an entire explorative experience, you'll likely be there for at least 2.5 hours. We tasted 9 different fish dishes, 3 desserts and a silky pour over to end the evening. PERFECT date night spot. Where do I begin.... this hidden Gem should be more that 5 stars. The ambience of this restaurant is exceptional. As you walk in you pass the aromatic tower herb garden that the chef used to garnish and seasoned the food. We jammed to the melodic jazz music that serenades us by Bossa Nova Covers album. The server Jackie had such exceptional people skills. The Chef Elmer Olivers from Guatemala was such an authentic person who personally explained each course. Came here with the dudes for some apps one Thursday night. Tiny interior but still cozy, tho the AC was not on and it was one of those hazy evenings. The menu for the spring/summer is a little different than their take out menu but still has good eats. We tried the red and white sangria but I found both too be very sweet and a bit overpriced for the pour. Food wise, we had the side of rice and beans, vegetables and two apps of calamari and mussels. Rice and beans were kickin tasty as was the batter on the calamari. Mussels were in a very strange broth that had a ton of mint in it-- never had that before. While it wasnt bad, I would have preferred just good old white wine and garlic. I would come back to try some of their take out fish options, or if they bring back their original menu. I sat at the bar and had a cocktail with a friend while waiting for our takeout food to be ready. The restaurant has a nice vibe but very small dining area and you must make reservations especially during dinner hours. It getsbusy but their food is very fresh and delicious. What a surprise! When my daughter, friend and I saw the exterior we were a bit skeptical. Just go in! We were greeted and seated by Juan who took incredible care to offer suggestions for my daughter's allergies. I don't think I've had Fish & Chip OR tacos that tasty. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! My husband and I went there for dinner to start our mini-honeymoon and the experience was perfect. We ordered their tasting menu: $100/person for 8+ courses (we lost count) and several drink pairings. All of the food was delicious and beautifully plated. The service was impeccable and made the night feel special. They also accommodated my dairy allergy without any issues. We have been to a variety of Michelin starred restaurants and the service and experience here was on par with many of them. For $100/person to have this level of service/food is insane. A real gem! Had to give this a try after seeing a post on local FB page. Drove to Ossining for lunch. There are two location next door to each other Brothers Restaurant & Bar and the other is Brothers Takeout. Went to the takeout. The takeout has a few tables so you can eat in. After much pondering ordered the bass sandwich. Took a while & I was the only one there. It finally arrived, big sandwich. Yep, the batter was crispy but not for long. Fish was nice and flakey all in all a good sandwich. The batter lost it's crispiness very quickly. Don't think of ordering it to go it will be mush by the time you get to your destination. French fries were OK. Will definitely go back for dinner to the restaurant. read more

The place is "a gem" despite having no curb appeal. Had I not heard about it and its reputation for excellent food, I would have not stopped in. The interior is cozy, the chairs are very uncomfortable and the noise level is a bit loud. The food, however, is OUTSTANDING! Not only is the signature Fish & Chips EXCELLENT, but ALL their seafood is always fresh and delicious. The Risotto is also EXCELLENT, just as it is at their OUTSTANDING Italian restaurant "Risotto" in Thornwood. If you are looking for EXCELLENT seafood, this is the place. But this is really a review of getting the food- We found out about this place as it's recommended at the sing sing kill brewery where you can have it delivered if you Create a membership to their online delivery service Set up and load money onto your Apple Pay Sell your first born baby It took 3/4 hour to order through the stupid app. I hope they get this sorted out it's a miracle we made it through and actually got food. Thank god it tasted good, we almost gave up multiple times. Also you can't call and order food directly which we tried as they don't have delivery people that aren't busy on a Saturday. The ONLY reason I took 1 star away is because the menu online that was listed as "PDF dine in" was not accurate. I made reservations for this place over a month ago and I've checked a few times since including the day of. We came as a party of 4 to dine in without the expectation of spending $400 so that part was actually disappointing as I had been gearing up for an entirely different menu all day. In someways, I found the restaurant and felt responsible that our party had such limited choices. The waiters are kind and mostly attentive. We each got the fish tacos and shared two ceviche dishes. Wow wow wow. The freshness and intricate details of taste of both them really deserve a standing ovation. We share some of the deserts as well. When it came time to pay, we didn't right away see that 18% is already included and proceeded to leave a massive tip. I'm sorry but no. I was waiting for someone in a doctor's office and saw this place written up in an article in Westchester Magazine for "cheap eats" in Ossining. Cheap?? I was just a few minutes away so after I took them home I went there. I paid *$33* for some cod, limp chips and a couple of tiny, mushy, lukewarm crap cakes. I've had much better fish for less money. The fish was ok but I have had better and paid as I said, less money. It just wasn't worth the price and I certainly would not consider this place to be "cheap eats". The young man who waited on me seemed like he really didn't want to be bothered. The most annoying thing about this experience is that the article listed this place as "cheap eats". We decided not to get a dessert, but the kitchen surprised us with a little scoop of delicious coconut ice cream and piña colada sauce infused with applewood smoke. Put a big smile on my face. The service was speedy and friendly. It's a very small dining room so it's easy to get a server's attention or strike up a conversation. Their bar is stocked with decent to very good bottles as well as less expensive but tasteful "well" liquors. I loved this place. I've only tried a few things, I haven't gotten takeout, and it's too pricey for me to visit often, but it was an experience and it was well worth the money.
