I want to start off by saying that Brothers Termite as a company is very misleading. Like another reviewer wrote on here, I thought they were Elite Group, but realized after the fact that they're a completely different company. When we got the termite inspection done on our house, the inspector mentioned several things that they could take care of that we apparently didn't realize wasn't on the actual contract (and didn't feel like we needed to since someone told us it could be done). Also, throughout the couple of days that people were working on our house, multiple people mentioned painting and leaving paint for them. When we finally did, they said it was too late and refused to paint. This happened on several other items where someone said they could do something and then ended up not taking care of it. When I spoke to the dispatcher because no one showed up one day to do work on our house, he said that one of the workers was sick - which is fine, but why wouldn't you communicate that to us?? He also mentioned leaving the paint out for them to paint. When I called back, this dispatcher said he never said that - which is bizarre because why would I make that up? Then I spoke to a manager of some kind, who was outright rude when I brought up all of these issues. His only suggestion was to give a discount on the painting, even though several people said they would do it at this point, of $100 off. How ridiculous is that? And then when I mentioned our roof tile missing and needed fixing, one of the workers said they would come back and fix it, the manager I mentioned to said they weren't roofers and that his workers needed to stop talking to us. Who says that?! All that to say, never use this company. I wrote a negative review for Elite Group to make them aware that Brothers Termite is ruining their business. read more

Very bad experience -- would not recommend. Brothers Termite Company may seem inexpensive at first, but the lack of professionalism and accountability makes it not worth it. After their inspection/service, I started experiencing a roof leak. Prior to this, I never had any leaks anywhere in my house, including the roof. Their workers walked on my roof, and when I raised the issue, the owner simply claimed that my roof was already bad. This was never an issue before their visit. Even more concerning is that they do not appear to have proper insurance or any coverage for damages caused during their service. There was no clear explanation of what would be covered after the termite inspection. When concerns were raised, the response was simply "everything is in the contract," yet roof damage is not covered at all, as stated by the owner. I strongly advise others to verify all insurance details and fully understand what the company will cover after the termite inspection before signing anything. Do not choose a company just because it is cheaper. Look for a termite company that provides clear communication, takes responsibility, and explains the process thoroughly instead of cutting corners and asking for payment upfront. read more

Brothers Termite came recommended and were very competitively priced. They were business-like and prompt, and worked with me on having to deal with my lockbox as my property was empty. However, likely an industry practice but my first time dealing with fumigation, they had me sign a release against broken roof tiles. To me, this just makes the fumigators less likely to be careful, as they have no skin in the game. After they were done they told me there were 25 broken tiles. I hired my roofer to repair and he found 150 broken tiles. To be fair, the actual fumigation was sub'd out to another company. You'll have to be the judge on whether this is normal, seemed like a lot to a newbie like me. read more

Brothers termite did our termite inspection when we bought our home. They said the house was in great condition and just recommended spot treatment in a few places. 1 year later, we started noticing termite droppings. We had 2 different termite companies come out. Both recommended tenting the house, and showed us where there were termite dropping coming out of the boxed eaves around much of the house. We had Brothers termite come out again, and they still just recommended spot treatment, and didn't catch all the issues the other 2 companies did. We're now going with one of the other companies to tent the house. I just wish we hadn't used Brothers for the inspection and tented the house before we moved in, when it would've been so much easier and less risky to our health. read more

Brothers missed a huge amount (over $2k) of termite damage despite me telling them to look specifically in one of the areas. I told them to look in the attic because it was connected to an infested area that they treated. They treated a roof rafter that goes all the way in the attic on Nov 19, 2018. As I'm observing the treatment it occurred to me later and asked them on Dec 5, 2018 that a follow up inspection to include the attic and other treated areas would make sense. They responded "I don't think so". Termite droppings showed up on April 2019 in a different area (that Brothers missed as part of the overall inspection in October 2018). When they were at my house on April 2019, I told them to check the attic again and the response was "I don't want to crawl around in the attic". Brothers confirmed there was indeed termite droppings in the different area that I found. The fact they were unwilling to go in the attic despite the logic of it made me bring in a different inspector from Pacific Coast Termite. Pacific coast verified there were indeed heavy infestation in the attic exactly where the rafter that Brothers treated was connected to. There was other heavy infested areas that Brothers Termite completely missed. I showed Brothers Termite the inspection report by Pacific Coast Termite with the areas Brothers missed and demanded Brothers treat it as part of their warranty. Their response was it is not covered because they didn't inspect it. I sent them the text conversation where I specifically asked for the attic to be inspected and requested documentation of their warranty. I have not heard from them as of April 24th. Work seems good, more than I can say about most construction/house related contractors I've tried. Office staff responsive and helpful. Now that I see what was done I can tell I was taken to the cleaners on the estimate, which was fixed fee. Another firm came in $800 less, but I didn't choose them because bad yelp reviews. In hindsight, that other firms estimate was clearly more representative of the actual labor involved. $1200 for a few 2x2s replaced, a few small 4x2s, and some primer. When I came back to the house and saw what was actually changed I shook my head. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. read more

Where to begin... Between poor communication, rude salesmen, and ineffective treatment, there are plenty of reasons I would not recommend this company. They fumigated my home and treated the soil in 2018. However, they didn't feel it was necessary to treat the soil around my detached garage. Three years later, I have a full infestation in my garage. I called the company for a new quote to treat the garage and the sales person was short with me and argumentative. There's a lot that could be said about that interaction, but the most frustrating thing was when I reached out to their office over email. I requested an itemized receipt of the labor they had performed in 2018 so I could look at other areas, like the garage, that may have been untreated and therefore, may be affected by the termites. The office told me that that document "is not available for release". As the owner of the home it's a little shocking to hear a company say that they will not send me an itemized report of the labor they performed on my home - especially because they have that report on file. The office has since stopped responding to my emails. After four bids from four separate companies, I can tell you that Brothers Termite would be ranked last. read more

I have had some bad experiences with other termite companies in the past being late and not returning calls or not being able to finish jobs on time. I'm not here to talk bad about the company but to inform you on what to expect. Maybe all termite companies are the same but if they are i am in the wrong business.. Tenting went well only a few complaints one being my high end cigars having to be thrown away because they were not removed during tent process, wasn't aware they had to be removed but I'll take the hit. Probably should have thought about it.. 2 stars are for the "repairs" in 2 days the employee was at my residence for a total of 5 hrs, replacing 8-2' sections of my beams and some wood filler in a couple places.. max of $50 worth of material and 5 hrs worth of work cost me $1,529.. they arrived at 9am I returned home at 1pm to find the employee spelling in his car. Worked 30 more minutes then went home.. next day my wife said it was a different guy which was there for 2hrs.. only hired through a real estate company. We recently moved into our new home and noticed termite damage. I went over the escrow paperwork and found the termite report. I assumed they would make up some excuse not to follow through on the warranty but they completely held to their word! They replaced the wood the next week (didn't just throw on some cheap fix) and primed the wood for painting. I will always use them. We used Brothers to do an escrow report for us. They were very professional. They found termites and damage caused by termites that Terminix had completed denied in their report since we were under contract wtih terminix.
