Found that in Porter. He came on time, told me exactly what was needed, took care of it fast and was professional, thoughtful, trustworthy and just an overall decent human being. Repairman came out and gave me Freon ($200+) which was fine as long as my AC was working. **Privately suggested I use him on the side for any side work with the unit** After Freon was filled, it blew cooler air that day. But of course the weather changed and I didn't need it anymore for weeks, so I shut AC off and used my space heater for just my master bedroom. A month later the weather changed so I decided to turn my AC back on, HOT AIR flowed once again. Called American Freedom again, and was told that the Repairman that I had no longer worked therm smh. Booked an appointment and got a text message that my Repairman was on the way around 11am when my appointment was scheduled for 2pm... so I figured maybe his other appointments cancelled so I thought "cool I'll hang around" LOL waited a hour and called... they told me he hit the accept job by mistake. (Rookie mistake)- waited for my 2 pm appointment which was 2-4 at 4:20pm no one showed and never even got an apology for it either. At this point they're very unreliable and I feel not experienced. It's weird because my mom used them for over 10 years and swore they were the best.

I had an earlier technician and quote from R & A Cooling LLC that was over $600 to clean the internal evaporating coils and replace the high limit switch. Although Thaddeus wanted to be able to service my home, he said his only recommendation at this time was to look into replacing my Nest with an Ecobee and downloading the app (which I just hadn't done yet since I work from home rn). Thaddeus said R & A Cooling lied to me when they said the high limit switch only works one time. He also said the coils are usually dirty but if you're getting sufficient heat and a/c flow, then a cleaning wasn't necessary. Always appreciate a company that isn't out to take advantage of people. If something does go wrong in the future, I'll be calling Thaddeus back out! I highly recommend you have them at least take a look and quote for your HVAC issues.

They were quoted 22,000 for a new system. I just happened to call while this was happening and they were in the process of filling out a credit application. I called my brother who lives close by to go and see what was happening. He sent them on their way after paying the 250.00 of course. He called another company ( D & W also in Covington) who simply added freon and it works perfectly. Be warned they will take advantage of older people if given the chance !!! not to mention the service manager and owner will not even return a call.
