I never leave reviews, but after getting my brows done by Maria I had to. I don't think I ever 'got' brows until she did them - I am blown away! I had tweezed the ends of my brows off until they basically didn't exist a long time ago, not really knowing what I was doing. I had let them grow out, but everything was a mess up there. Totally overgrown, no shape at all. Maria wasn't afraid of them, however, and now for the first time in forever, there's actually an arch in my brow. She also convinced me to get a brow tint (but was respectful of my hesitancy; she never pushed), and I took the plunge, not really knowing what it meant as I had never done it before. Sebastian and Maria are both excellent brow artists. I went to Sebastian first then Maria. Both times I walked out with the best brows I have ever had in my life. I like that they only tweeze, because my skin always breaks out after waxing or threading. They do one eyebrow first, stop and show you what it looks like, then do the other one. They also showed me the tiny hairs that were over-tweezed/waxed/threaded in the past and are slowly growing back in. This is the only place I will go to have my eyebrows shaped as long as I am in NYC. Bring cash to avoid the $4 credit card transaction fee. They do not use square anymore. read more

I never get my brows done because I saw it as a luxury more so than a necessity. Sebastian was highly recommended to my by a friend so I went to see him. I was impressed by how he only used tweezers and no wax or threading (which is what I did in the past). He shaped my brows in such a new way that changed how my face structure looked!
