Bru Burger is a local favorite, because you can't go wrong with burger and fries. I've been a couple times and have been underwhelmed with the Bourbon and Garlic Three Cheese, but my friend group has ensured this is one of the best burger joints and I should try something different. I tried the Mexicali this time and it was a much better. This burger has some umph. I did have to cut this in half and bring home the other half because this burger is quite large. I really enjoyed the fries, and while others are a huge fan of their homemade ketchup, I'd rather skip. I finally made it to Bru Burger! Wow! What an amazing experience! I have never been treated like royalty until I visited here! I've been to other BRU Burger locations, but this was my first visit to this one. I had completely missed that they opened this one, and am excited to not have to trek to the suburbs, or deal with downtown parking when I want a great burger. This is a smaller location than some of the others, and it had a quieter atmosphere, which was nice, even though it was fairly busy on a Tuesday evening. I had the stilton blue cheese burger which was excellent. The burger was cooked perfectly, medium, just as I ordered it, and the combination of toppings was delicious. I had a side of fries which were crisp and perfect. The homemade ketchup never disappoints! Service was excellent, and food came out fast, but we weren't rushed out, and since no one was waiting for a table, we sat, relaxed and visited for a bit. Im not impressed at all. The service was great but the BRU Burger was the greasiest burger I've ever had...anywhere. My plate was full of grease immediately and both buns were completely soaked with grease within minutes. I wish I could say it still tasted good, but it was very average. Don't recommend coming here if you have allergies. I saw online that they had a gluten free menu and dedicated fryer so I thought it would be a safe spot to eat. I tried to order a salad but was told by a lovely woman from the kitchen that they have pecans and almonds on the salad bar and she wouldn't recommend that as I am allergic to nuts. I instead ordered a chicken breast and steamed veggies without butter, as well as sharing fries with family. The fries were super yummy! The chicken was disgusting. The manager told me that he had boiled it and didn't add any spices (including salt and pepper) to keep it allergy friendly even though all I asked for was no butter (pan seared in oil is what I asked for). My fiancé took a bite and said he wouldn't feed it to a cat lol. The bill then came out and we realized that we were charged $15 for the chicken breast alone and an extra $4 for the veggies! We asked the manager why the chicken breast was $15 and he said they had to charge for an entire entree fried chicken sandwich. The menu has a side of chicken for salad listed as $7 charge. I wish someone would have told me I would be charged for an entire entree when I ordered the chicken, as I assumed it would be rung up ala carte. $15 for a boiled chicken breast that I couldn't even eat! The manager was also pretty rude when we asked about the $15 charge and told the server not to adjust the price for us and it was correctly rung up. I totally understand that food allergies are hard to accommodate but I was clear about what I wanted and could eat and the kitchen decided to do something different without consulting me. When I walked into BRU Keystone, I was greeted with a smile and a welcoming atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend taking some time to look over the menu before you go so you're not sitting there fumbling around. They have a lot of local drafts, craft cocktails (which looked really good) and wines to choose from. I got the Mexicali while my wife got the Bourbon. We ended up splitting them up halfsies and I preferred the Bourbon but they were both really good. The onion rings are rustic and huge. This Bru burger is located right opposite side of Fashion mall and have ample of parking spaces. I enjoy going to Bru burger in downtown Indianapolis so thought of checking this location out. Unfortunately the server who helped us was either new or not very well trained as we asked for beer options and I asked about the difference between 2 beers which I was getting confused on and she had no idea what the beers tasted like which was OK at first but when my brother in law asked the similar questions on 2 other drinks she was not sure on that too. After pacing the orders for out burgers they turned out well. So food was good only thing the service we got was not up to the mark. My boyfriend & I decided to stop at Bru Burger for a late lunch today. The restaurant was super mellow and chill. They definitely are practicing social distancing. Mask are indeed required and all of the staff have them on as well! The staff were all exceptionally nice and our food was great! I ordered the infamous bru burger with a side of fries for lunch. The burger was super juicy & cooked to perfection. I'm normally not a fry gal but these were some of the best fries I've ever had. Decided to check this place out. We were seated quickly and the waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. My only complaint with these craft burger places are they charge extra for any sides while the burgers are already higher priced. We received our food quickly. Came for dinner for the first time after hearing lots of good things. Got the chicken nachos for an app- incredibly dry. However, once we asked for a side of queso and added to it they were much better. Got the bleu cheese burger and the New Yorker with a GF bun. Both were cooked perfectly with delivery and fresh toppings. Vert juicy and flavorful meat. Bleu cheese burger could have had more bleu cheese. Overall- very very good. Will return! read more

With all the craziness of this past year I ashamed to admit that had no clue this location was here. But I know now and will be back. When we arrived there was a wait, between it being a Saturday night and the social distancing guidelines. The wait wasn't too long, maybe about 30 minutes. Our service was good, the drinks were good and the food was better. I got the Honey Chipotle BBQ burger and a side of onion rings. I ended up taking some onion rings home because they are so big. It's always great to revisit a regular and favorite restaurant such as Bru, but in a new location. Didn't want to head all the way downtown for a bite so me and my daughters hit the Keystone location. The outdoor area complete with heaters was perfectly setup for Covid era eating. I love that their plant based patty can be subbed for any sandwich. The staff is attentive and super nice just like downtown. The pics below is my 12 year olds sandwich which she handled. Luckily being a pro I knew that two sides of fries weren't necessary for them and the one order split nicely between the two girls. This spot is definitely worth looking into if you are a burger person. To start out the inside of the restaurant has a wonderful aesthetic and was very clean. The service was absolutely amazing and the owner or manager(I'm not sure which), was interactive with everyone inside with a welcoming charm and a sociable personality. Food: we started with the onion rings and they were very unique. They were fried in a very thick batter which made them hardy and delicious. I personally felt they were a little too thick, but if shared with friends and eaten in small doses they will be perfect . The soft pretzels were perfectly warm,soft and crunchy. The burgers were fantastic and you could tell they take great pride in their making. I had the honey chipotle BBQ burger and it was spectacular. The the pulled pork, beef patty and bacon created a wonderful savory sensation with their seasonings and the caramelized onions and black pepper Mayo added a complimentary sweetness that helped settle the spice. The only downside was that the onion ring batter was a tad soggy from the ring that was on the burger. Finally the frys were a perfect salty and crunchy side. Our foodie group came here for dinner tonight and it was delicious and wonderful as bru burger always is. The service was great and the burgers were supreme. I had the new Yorker which was terrific consisting of pastrami, slaw, and Swiss cheese. The fries were terrific and the homemade ketchup is to die for. The cocktails are #1 in my book. The pear cosmo is a slice of heaven. The taxi is wonderful. The new location is very nice and has the same qualities as the other bru burger locations. You can never go wrong with bru burger. If you have eaten at a Cunningham restaurant before, then you know there are great things in store for your taste buds. The food and service at Bru Burger have become a staple in my life. If we are going out to eat, there's a good chance Bru Burger is one of our top pics. They have delicious food, and they take great care to provide options my beautiful wife can enjoy. When you have Celiacs, a dairy allergy, and a soy allergy, that's no small accomplishment. I was recently able to preview the opening of the Keystone location, and I came away impressed. The restaurant is beautiful and well designed. The outside seating is relaxed and comfortable with great shade and covering from the elements. The leadership, Craig and Allison are back doing what they do best, making sure great food arrives at the table with a staff that is courteous, helpful, and fun to be around. You can see the excellence in leadership is impacting the staff in a positive way. Ivan our server was in top performance, and our food arrived quickly with no mistakes at all. Hands down, 5 stars! This is the place to go for a specialty burger. This has to be one of the best burgers I've had, really thick Patty, perfectly seasoned, and the toppings were A+. Overall I think they perfectly balanced the burger. I'm not sure what else to say, whether to talk about their AMAZING homemade ketchup (I don't even like ketchup) of their delicious, thick onion rings. Overall, it is absolutely a splurge. We also ordered an appetizer, the dips with the pita bread. The hummus was so fresh and out of this world, you can tell everything is made completely from scratch down to the very fresh guacamole. The price point was really fair. We actually paid for our guests, we were 6 total, and the bill was extremely reasonable. The wait staff was friendly and let us stay as long as we wanted without being pushy about paying the bill or showing any signs at all of rushing us through. Very thoughtful. Finally, as a dietitian, I love when restaurants are accommodating of multiple diet preferences, they have multiple vegetarian and vegan options including the impossible burger. I took a group of students here for a year end celebration, and they loved it. None of them had been here before so I was excited to let them try it. Only one of them was an Indiana/ Midwest native so it was definitely something I knew the rest had to try. One of my students is a picky eater and she had the chicken sandwich, she loved it! She kept it pretty basic. Another one had the Bourbon Burger with a strawberry shake and boy oh boy he finished it all and was singing its praises. I have no idea where he put it all! The milkshake came out last which was a bummer for the young man but he still enjoyed every ounce of it. The final student and myself both had a salad and a side of fries. (Thats my go to pretty much everywhere). We both absolutely loved our salads and both agreed we only needed one side of fries! The meal in itself did not disappoint and we were thrilled with the decision we made to go to this location. The one hiccup we had was our waitress did not come back after she checked on us. I was so happy to see that they had a really great non-alcoholic beer on the menu. I'm staying at the hotel next door and wanted a snack and 'drink' on my night off. I got the fries which were delicious! Crispy and perfect. I liked that ketchup too, it was special. I'm vegan and even tho I didn't get the burger, I was also glad to see it on the menu. This is a review from a few weeks ago my sister and I ate at this location because it had been so good before unfortunate experience was not so hot. The waiter that we had was just not good, and we really didn't need to hear about the fact that they had a party huge party, and somehow that was supposed to be why we were affected in terms of our service, thanks but no thanks. Additionally, he really didn't seem too interested in taking drink orders from us and when one of us ordered a drink, then he walked away and the second person was like hello what about me. My wife and I stopped by for a late Friday night dinner. We were seated quickly and the staff was courteous. My wife got a margarita and then later in the night a spicy pomegranate margarita. She loved them both, but did say the spicy pomegranate margarita did have a kick. I got a couple delicious zombie dusts. Then we each got a burger, she got the Provençal with onion rings and I got the Stilton Blue Cheese with fries. Hers was very good with the goat cheese really giving off a bold flavor, and the onion rings were pretty good. The Stilton Blue Cheese burger was great and the secret ingredient was the pear jam. I've visited other locations and knew the food was good, but dining-in during a pandemic and sitting out on the patio just made the experience that much better. I've been here many times and I always get something different my waitress recommended the ProvenCal burger which has basil aioli, Marinaded red onions, Herb goat cheese with sautéed onions, sub regular beef with the impossible burger. The savory flavors mixed together was amazing. The Bru Fries appetizer was good too it came with house ketchup, black pepper mayo and house chipotle BBQ sauce. I came her with my husband, 4 year old, and 1 year old baby girl. We were sat by hostess right away. We proceeded to sit and happily play with our baby to keep her entertained and chatted with our 4 year old about what she wanted to eat. At least 15 minutes passed without being greeted by a server, not even eye contact by any servers or who I presume was the manager by his button up shirt while he cleaned up the table next to ours. Bru Burger Keystone is my favorite location! The staff is great and on it every time! I always get the Gorgonberry Pecan salad because it's my favorite salad ever.
