I came her with my husband, 4 year old, and 1 year old baby girl. We were sat by hostess right away. We proceeded to sit and happily play with our baby to keep her entertained and chatted with our 4 year old about what she wanted to eat. At least 15 minutes passed without being greeted by a server, not even eye contact by any servers or who I presume was the manager by his button up shirt while he cleaned up the table next to ours. We got up and left to enjoy dinner somewhere else and everyone just watched us leave, not one word said. I wish I knew what we did to offend everyone so much that they would even acknowledge us. We absolutely loved the Bru Burger in Carmel, but after relocating downtown we wanted to try out this keystone location. And while the decor and atmosphere looks way more upscale, I wasn't a sold of the food. The burgers tasted as if they had absolutely no seasoning. Of course their fresh ingredients helped out alot but overall it wasn't the same flavors I'm used to. The staff was very welcoming and even provided the kids with dessert on the house. So I'll definitely be giving this place another try for the service alone. read more

This is a must eat if you want a great burger. The turkey with added habanero havarti cheese was perfect and let's not forget the fries. They were served to a crisp and season to perfection. I drafted this review earlier this year. Recently Yelp has asked me to post it. Here goes. I can't remember being this disappointed by a restaurant in a long time. I have been a frequent diner at several of the Bru locations, including DT, Carmel and the new Keystone location. Tonight, I ordered a Bru Burger and an Ahi Tuna sandwich. Easy, right? Unfortunately, although I ordered at 8:04pm and arrived and checked in at 8:28pm. I saw no activity for 20 minutes. So, I called the front desk again to ask what was going on and the woman that answered the phone laughed at me. I told her I didn't appreciate being laughed at but I still wanted my food. Shortly, my food arrived and the gentleman advised he included a couple of coupons should we return. Since drafting this review, this location has ceased encouraging curb service and pickup is at bar. Generally this requires trying to flag down a bartender to interrupt his work flow. read more

Unfortunately I have celiacs and got sick the next day, despite my thorough questioning that it was safe when ordering (and gluten free bun). Might be worth it to you but don't recommend going as a celiac patient, likely ok for gluten intolerant however given the large number of options that await you. read more

Did not even know this new location had popped up until invited by friends. Blame it on the pandemic. We had a round of beers, an order of pulled pork nachos, then ordered another appetizer of onion rings to split among three of us as a side when we ordered our burgers. Too bad the message wasn't absorbed by the kitchen because it took forever (another 30+ minutes) for our burgers to come out, by which time the onion rings were ice cold. That was not our intent but given the otherwise expedient service, it was clear that wires got crossed somewhere. If a party already had an appetizer we didn't finish and specifically asks, "We want to split. What portion is larger, the appetizer or the side?".... Well, it seemed super clear to us. And our server was otherwise very perceptive and rolled with the jesting from our trio. The burgers were great, cooked perfectly as ordered. Stilton Bleu has a wonderful bacon jam that meshes well with the cheese and fried onions. I have been to Bru burger in the past and it was great. Especially having a points system too is a bonus. But this time I got the bourbon burger which lacked flavor. Not to mention how it was dripping with grease. The manager came by and I mentioned the lack of flavor and he offered me a sauce to try it with. I will say the manager was very kind. So the service alone deserves a 5+ rating. I came in with my two kids in tow and I always am worried I'll get the side eye for doing that but it was completely the opposite. Jack was our server and he was phe.nom.i.nal!!!! I am addicted to the gorgonberry salad so I had to get that to start (word of warning, the small is more than enough to split). Then I added a snack burger which was the perfect size for me after that salad. The kids menu was perfect and I honestly probably could have had them split it. There was so much food! I'll note up front that both my wife and I are huge fans of The Cunningham group of restaurants. We've always had good experiences, and this is no different. At the time I'm writing this review, it's the newest incarnation of Bru Burger. The menu is identical to all the other Bru Burgers (to my knowledge). Upscale burgers and a few other items on the menu. I'm a big fan of their french fry appetizer/sharing plate, which comes with 3 different dipping sauces, if you are dining with a companion, this is a good choice. I've been working my way through their menu, and while I really like all their burgers, my current favorite is the Melt Your Face Burger. It's nice and spicy. If you like hot, you'll like it a lot. For those with a more sensitive palate, it might be a bit uncomfortable for you. Service, always good. We're repeat customers. read more

So I've been a Bru Burger fan for years, and happily made that drive downtown when I wanted it. But now there's a Castleton location! Hooray! They're offering carry out, dine in, and outdoor seating. Servers are wearing masks, and menus are made of a plastic kind of material that's wipe-down friendly. The food is just as fantastic here as the other locations. I had the ahi tuna burger, my daughter has the impossible burger. Her boyfriend still swears it wasn't plant based because he couldn't tell the difference! She's vegan and said it's the best impossible burger she's ever had! Fries, onion rings, or fruit can be added for just $2, and they offer plenty of salad or sandwich options also. The draft list has something for everyone, today I went with a raspberry wheat that was amazing, wish I could remember which brewery it was from! No worries I'll be back! read more

What a shame. The service is fine, but I made the mistake of ordering a "Nashville hot chicken sandwich" nothing more than over cooked chicken tenders in a bun with some terribly and uninteresting sauce and lettuce. My daughter had a bru burger which was ordered medium rare and came out medium well and also as basic as it gets. This chain needs to step up their game I think. The server was super helpful but didn't even notice that I had one bite of my sandwich. I don't care I'm just saying this place was a huge disappointment. Let me start by saying that Bru Burger is one of my favorite restaurants in Indianapolis. I was excited to see that they opened another location on Keystone Ave. It's a smaller location than Mass Ave and Carmel and the drink selection was limited. My first time at a Bru Burger & I'm happy to say I'm NOT disappointed! Mid afternoon (3pm) so not busy but not empty either. Hostess greeted my husband & I warmly; asking if we preferred patio or inside which was quite considerate. The patio section was really nice but being allergy season we chose inside. They have spaced their seating very well to accommodate social distancing yet not making it seem too sparse. Our server was Eric & he was attentive enough to ensure good service but not too intrusive which is a delicate balance under normal circumstances but even better considering today's current climate. I got the Stilton Bleu Cheese burger with fries & my husband the Mexicali BBQ with onion rings. I was curious about the pear-bacon jam that came with mine & it was a nice flavor combination. Bru Burger makes an AMAZING ketchup! I was sure it was housemade because the flavor was unique (which let's face it, if you're going to say you're a "scratch kitchen" housemade ketchup would be almost expected). The fries are hand cut & you can taste the difference. They were cooked really well too; crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. Honestly, I'd stop in just for the fries & ketchup! I'm HoH (hard of hearing) so background noise & lighting is crucial to my dining experience. The background music level here was perfect. I didn't even really notice it. It's nice to find a restaurant that realizes people want to have a conversation while dining without competing with all the rest of the background sounds found at a restaurant. I'm not sure how the light level is for night dining (lip reading/signing) so we'll return sometime soon in the evening to check that out. Having a lot of windows makes for a nice afternoon experience. Another reviewer mentioned the plastic menu cards which were nice. Easy to read & easy to clean; a great combo. The straws also got my attention. They look plastic but are made from plant based materials & 100% biodegradable! That's pretty forward thinking & very cool. read more

Great burgers. Our group ordered pretzel appetizer and it came with a cheese sauce and a sweet stoneground mustard sauce. Both were good. Three straight pretzels on the plate were perfect for our group. For entrees we got the Melt You Face burger (I added bacon to it), the Bru Burger and the Honey-Chipotle BBQ burger. Everyone got fries with their burger for an extra $2 but the onion rings at a nearby table also looked good. Burger were cooked to what we ordered (they asked: medium, medium well or well) and were all delicious and very filling. We were too full to get a dessert. Atmosphere was quiet. We were seated inside as outside patio was full on a sunny fall day. Decor is modern with a few large TV screens showing football. Nice place to eat and talk with good food. My friend and I came here for lunch, we are both 18, and were extremely disappointed. We sat down and waited a good 5 minutes in a fairly empty restaurant before our drinks were even taken. The service was very disappointing, they forgot our appetizers and paid us little attention while constantly waiting on the ladies behind us. They also added a patty to one of our burgers, that we did not ask for and ended up making the meal more than expected. My fiancé and I were looking for a place with good food, good drinks, and nice aesthetic. Bru Burger (keystone) hit all three. The restaurant is easy to find, but you might hit lots of traffic getting there with it being right by the mall and people are still Christmas shopping. The restaurant has a very nice Ambience and a beautiful tree for Christmas. I highly remembered the Mac and Cheese for an appetizer. My fiancé and I took a chance on this dish and were so happy we did. We still talk about how good it was. I have always loved their version of the margarita. They make it with elderflower and it has a nice sweetness to it. If you try anything, please get their house ketchup. You may still prefer regular ketchup, but I wish I could buy theirs and take it home with me. In regards to their burgers, you really can't go wrong. They have very delicious options, even impossible burgers for vegetarians. I got the bourbon burger this time. I wasn't too impressed with this one compared to others I have have. Bru Burger was one of our favorite burger places until tonight. Yesterday, I made a reservation through Open Table for dinner for 4 for tonight. I requested outdoor seating on my reservation. They said that they would email me if there was an issue with my reservation. Everything seemed fine. When we got to the restaurant they said that they would not seat us outside even though we had requested it. I had the host ask the manager and still they would not accommodate our request. At one point we were told that they were concerned about the servers getting wet in case it rained again. Obviously we left. I wish they were as concerned about their customers and their requests.
