My Family was on Ski trip weekend to Kissing Bridge and my front headlight was out .We were really in a tough spot being Saturday morning. Our experience with this shop went from OK to awful within a year. This is less about their mechanical skills and more about the way in which they dealt with problems that arose and the extremely poor communication that followed. Being met with a curt and condescending attitude when calling for a status added insult to injury. This is not the first review to say the same. Brian appears to be a capable mechanic with a big personality. However, the real issue with this shop lies within the inner workings of their day-to-day operations. It is embarrassingly disorganized at best. The first of many items on the list should be to replace the woman at the desk (we'll refer to her as "D") with someone who is pleasant and professional. Customers who are bringing their business to a shop and spending their hard-earned money deserve to be treated with respect which means: personnel should be kind, be courteous, and if the shop is responsible for a problem that arises, they should be apologetic and do whatever is necessary to make things right. This did not happen in our case. We can only describe our experience here as bizarre and upsetting. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience this morning. I brought my jeep in for inspection, after hearing good things about Bruce's Automotive. It did not pass inspection due to $1300 worth of work to be done. After researching what my jeep needed to pass, it was only two of the three items that it actually needed to pass of which would have been half the cost. Was not offered the option to just fix the two issues and space out the other repair. Scraped my sticker off before I picked it up without asking me first. No temporary sticker. Not going to describe my dilemma with money at this time, but I am struggling more than ever before. Not everyone that walks into a repair shop has an extra $1300 laying around or even half of that. So needless to say getting to work and my daughter to and from school will be a problem over the next week or so. This could have gone way differently. Will never recommend. read more

This is a family owned business run to scam women. I brought my car there unfortunately they didn't know my father is a mechanic. By the time I was done my parking brake was broken and my check engine light was on because something they had did don't ever bring your car here unless you want it worse than it came in! read more

I fully trust Brian and the rest of the staff here to give me their honest recommendation of what needs to be done. Brian spends a lot of time on the phone explaining the problem and what the options are for resolving it. The team at Bruce's does excellent work on my aging vehicle, and does it quickly at a reasonable price. Brian is straightforward about what needs to be done, what should be done, and what can wait. Perhaps just as significantly, the customer service is second to none. For example, when I told Donna I wouldn't be able to pick up my car when it was ready because I was without a ride, she picked me up and drove me to the shop!! Pretty remarkable. I started having a slow leak in my tire and was having a helluva time trying to figure out what to do about it. I put in a can of fix-a-flat but that didn't help, so I had to start thinking about other options. Honestly, I thought that this place would cost me an arm and a leg just to get my tire repaired but I was pleasantly surprised. I called and spoke with a woman who answered all my questions and assured me it wouldn't cost more than $35 at most (and that was the worst case scenario) so I made an appointment. I brought it in during my lunch break, told her about the ordeal and went out to lunch. When I came back, she said that even though they had to dismount my tire (because of the fix-a-flat) to balance them and remove the nail/plug my tire she would still only charge me $32! And it was done in an hour! Not a complicated procedure I know, but the service was super good, there's a friendly dog to pet in the waiting room on the way. The mechanic even mentioned that my sway bars were rattling but were safe in case I was wondering what the noise was. read more

I took my car there to get an inspection, they told me I needed brakes. They charged over 600 dollars to do the brakes, which on the bill stated $95 to take off the front tires to give you an idea. I don't mind paying a fair price for labor, but that seemed a little steep. The worse part is when i went in I could tap on the brakes and the car would stop, now the pedal goes to the floor and the brakes squeal. No recommendation from me! They did offer to fix them again, but I am going elsewhere. read more
