Beware...They were great taking the car and working on it right away. They quickly determined the solution. Then the problem started. The car needed an OEM driveshaft. They ordered it and installed it. They fixed the issue. The problem was they charged me $1900 dollars for the driveshaft. The price struck me as high so I called Toyota and found out it was a $775.00 dollar part. I called the corporate customer service line and they said the 1125 dollar markup up seemed high so I should call the repair shop. They indicated they charged whatever their computer said to. Bottom line: beware, their service maybe great but they take advantage of their customers through outrageous part markup. read more

Then they have people that aren't even skilled enough to fix the problem on the car for you, they said they couldn't find out what was wrong and asked for $300 and said cya later. Classic scam shop. Last summer, I took my '05 jaguar wagon here for fresh oil before putting it in climate controlled storage for the winter. I brought my own oil because their selection was very limited. They changed the oil just fine, but they told me my battery was bad. I was very suspicious because it was only about 15 months old at the time, but I figured to be better safe than sorry and I didn't have time to double check their diagnosis. So I bit the bullet and bought a 3-year warranty battery from them and had it installed. My car went in to storage for the winter on a trickle charger. First time I was able to check on it in 6 months, and the tickle charger had automatically shut off after detecting faulty battery conditions. It's not clear at what point this happened. So I had the battery properly tested, and it turns out it had a bad cell. There were probably a total 5 start cycles on the battery in total. Moreover, trickle charging a battery with a bad cell is a serious fire risk! Not only did these people sell me a $220 battery that was faulty (potentially on installation), but my previous battery was probably just fine! I suspect these people just hosed me. Yes I purchased their warranty, but I bought my own battery and put it in myself. I don't trust these people, and should have smelled BS when they told me the relatively new battery I had was bad. Pro tip - if you are thinking about changing tires before a long trip, do it! We knew our tires were on the way out but figured we would be able to make it one last longer trip. Driving back from Canada to US when we popped a tire, no spare to put on. Quick look around we found this place about 5 miles away. We gave them a call and Tim was super friendly and helpful. Confirmed that they had tire we needed and would be able to swap it out straight away. We used our AAA membership to tow us to the shop. Both Tim and Pauline were very friendly, courteous and professional. Couldn't have been happier with the service and speed. Had us back on the road in a few hours for a very reasonable price. We even ended up getting 2 tires replaced in total because we had another one that was on its way out. Thank you Goodyear team!!! read more

The mechanics were awesome! They made sure my car was in tip top shape! My brakes were grinding because the rear pads were bare and they mmediately recommended that i replace them. I never thought that was where the grinding noise was coming from but now i know what to look out for! Thank you guys! read more

The service manager called with a BS story about my lug nuts being swollen "only a issue from 2010-2015 mine is a 2018". I put new brakes on two days before they put the tires on so I had every lug nut in my hands and they were fine. She stated that they would not continue with the job unless I agreed to replace the lug nuts. Agreed to let them replace them knowing they were fine just didn't want the hassle of taking it somewhere else. Won't ever be going back. read more

Thank you Goodyear for helping me get home for the holidays safely! Had just started my trek home to Long Island from Buffalo but needed to made one quick stop at Elm Street Bakery before I left. It was on my drive there that I had an alert pop up on my car that said, 'Tire Pressure Low' and though oh great, it's probably a slow leak, yada yada and now I need to stop and fix it. So I pulled into Goodyear, the place had awful reviews but I figured it was worth a shot. The woman at the counter told me it was going to be a half hour wait before someone could take a look at my car and I was annoyed because I did not want to wait that long. I think she could tell I was aggravated because about two minutes later a gentleman came and grabbed my keys, brought my car into the back. They checked out the tires, filled me up with air and sent me on my way within 5 minutes, absolutely no charge. I appreciated the quick service! read more

I don't understand how you could have a bad experience at this place. I brought my son's car in to get an oil change and while they were doing the oil change they noticed his inspection was over due and they offered to inspect the car for me. I told them I didn't have a lot of time but, they assured me they could do it and it would only take about 30 mins longer. This would save me another trip back and I'm glad they saw it before we got a ticket. The whole staff was very friendly offering me a coffee, water or a pop and Dave the manager kept giving me updates on my son's car. What a great experience!!! I would recommend this shop to everyone. They went above and beyond for me the staff was very friendly and honest and the waiting room was clean and you could watch your car getting worked on while you wait. read more

My mother was complaining that her van was shaking so we brought it in to be checked out. The service manager told us the problem was coming from her tires. We weren't happy with how they handled in the snow anyway so they recommended some good all season tires for us. They even helped us fill out the rebate so we wouldn't forget. I just heard from her again saying the van was "a pleasure to drive" now. Problem solved! read more

I've had 2 experiences with this place, both negative. The first time (2001) they sold me a "new " tire with a 5 inch bubble protruding from the wall. When I returned later that day they accused me of driving over something, refusing to give me a new tire at first, then offering to give me a new tire, but I had to pay them $30 to put it on. RIDICULOUS. The next time I came back (2010), 10 years later figuring things had changed, I was wrong. This time they broke/stripped a lug bolt off while replacing my tires and charged me $150 to drill out replace. They claimed that someone had over tightened the bolt. I paid, but obviously not happily. My dealership later told me that that could have never happened under normal circumstances. My dealership also told me that a someone had mysteriously removed all the bolts from a metal heat guard that was making rattling noises under my car. I will never return to Goodyear in East Aurora, or any Goodyear for that matter. They run an unbelievably deceitful operation. read more

If you choose not to read any further, I implore you to stay away from this Goodyear. With that said, where should I begin with my review.....? Choosing Goodyear as my family's primary repair and maintenance facility was the onset of the single worst customer loyalty choices I have ever made. I constantly found myself making excuses and justifying poor service with high prices in my failed attempt to justify Goodyear East Aurora as our go to service center. The final nail in the proverbial coffin was several questionable events that facilitated the final phone call to Goodyear East Aurora, that call sealed the need to provide you with this heartfelt and passionate warning. I sought out Goodyear to diagnose and determine why my 2013 Ford Explorer abruptly started running hot, steaming from the hood, and the air conditioner discontinued working. I rolled in with my blind confidence and I believed that Goodyear East Aurora maintained their corporation's mission statement of values. "Goodyear is committed to: Delivering the highest quality in all that we do; Acting with honesty, integrity and respect" the list continues as seen on their corporate website. I left my vehicle there so that they could investigate the issue. The following day I was informed, (Please bear in mind that I am not an automobile technician nor am I familiar with any of the appropriate lingo.) that the air conditioner needed to be replaced and a belt had to be replaced. The job was going to cost $800+ to get us up and running. The price tag was a bit, "gulp" worthy but as I stated before I typically justify their pricing as they wouldn't take advantage of us we are loyal return customers. I confidently said let's fix it as I was assured that this would remedy the issue. Now jump ahead one winter. I never needed to use my air conditioner until June 2015 and imagine my surprise when the air conditioner did not throw cold air. Unfortunately, for me I did not call Goodyear right away I used another car until I knew I could free up some time to bring the vehicle back in. I then placed what would be the last phone call to Goodyear to setup an appointment as I assumed that they would stand behind their work. I was told that they were going to need to charge me at least $100 just to diagnose the issue. This took me off guard as this is an issue that they just ultimately repaired, and we only put approximately 900 miles on the vehicle before the repair failed. I then calmly asked what my expectation should be with regard to this failure. I was told that there are many moving parts on the air conditioner and the $100 diagnosis is to determine if there is a new issue. My response was if a new issue exists its due to a faulty repair not wear and tear as this vehicle is only two years old and the "repair" is only 8 months old. They found no value in my response or the loyalty that I have demonstrated and dismissed the opportunity to help with a repair that they probably messed up. Now I know the previous statement "that they probably messed up" is quite egregious as I truly had no proof at that time. However, after visiting another local repair center they demonstrated that not only was this a failure waiting to happen but, Goodyear completely failed to repair and or replace the air conditioner as they were paid to complete. These new findings were shown to me first hand by this new service center and it was discovered that Goodyear's failure also permanently damaged the alternator and the air conditioner was just flopping around. Goodyear's deceit, lack of knowledge, theft, poor business practices, and lack of customer service cost me an additional $2000+ in repairs to properly repair my vehicle and make it safe for me, my wife and our newborn son; who by the way was placed in peril by Goodyear's unsound business practices. They did not care to assist a customer and compromised there service which ultimately uncovered an unbelievable amount of ineptness. Anecdotally, should you visit Goodyear's website and search for the East Aurora location you will find one review, one positive review. Should you pay closer attention and choose to place a review you are given 5 criteria; Satisfaction With Wait Time, Quality of Service, Cleanliness of Facilities, Quality of Amenities in Wait Area, and Helpfulness of Staff. Notice there is only one choice for quality of work, the other four are incidental to the actual overall quality of repair. Therefore, if you rate the quality of service with the least amount of stars and provide the incidentals with five stars you will have given them four and a half stars for poor workmanship. It is designed to provide false positive reviews as the other four are ultimately opinion based. Quality of Service is Black or White, it's fixed or it's not fixed. STAY AWAY FROM GOODYEAR and avoid a Bad Year. read more
