Great breakfast sandwiches, great service, fair prices. Plus, a way bigger coffee selection (all drip) than many other locations. I've been going there for years. Note it can get busy. I'd look past the reviews of one off mistakes, stuff happens. Also, the negative reviews for cost. I love breakfast sandwiches and they are inexpensive not expensive relatively speaking. On my first time back to store since Covid I was very disappointed. My regular store in Wellesley closed so thought I would try another location. Went to this location in Auburndale which was close to an appointment I had today. However I was disappointed in the items I got my coffee was black like I wanted but it was barely warm, my garlic bagel was very tough, the amount of Bacon /Scallion cream cheese was a joke. They used to put so much cream cheese on the bagel I would wipe some off use it to get another bagel when I got home today It was barely a smear. I will not be going back there for a while. Honestly one of the rudest places I've been. I came in to get some bagels for a nearby office. There was a line which was ok. I waited in line and then when it was my turn I asked for the Big bagel deal. I just asked for an assorted selection of bagels. The man behind the counter just threw them in a bag and handed me this big mess of bagels. I asked about the cream cheese, they said you can choose them from the case, which I though was ok. I make my way down to the woman at the register. I ask for cutlery, she just points and says it over there in a rude way. I pay and ask for a receipt and she just says its coming as I could see it printing. I would haven't asked for it right away, but she started to walk away from me after she handed me my card. If you VALUE YOUR LIFE, BEWARE Just the facts - Nov. 11th, 2022, Bruegger's, Belmont, MA -While my sandwich was being made, another worker leaned over it and pressed her apron-clad belly INTO the sandwich. Right into the side with the mayo sauce on it. I pointed it out to both coworkers, who stared back at me either out of lack of comprehension or not caring; I couldn't tell. My wife said to let it go, which I did. I feel like I was on another planet. -10 seconds later, the other coworker presses her belly into the sauce side of the sandwich AGAIN. WOW. Didn't bother pointing it out, likely would be ignored again. I figured I was a boy scout, I could "rough" it. But at nearly 10 bucks a sandwich, but that's still GROSS. -at home, while chewing a bite of the sandwich, I ALMOST SWALLOWED AN OPEN STAPLE that was INSIDE THE SANDWICH (see pic). WOW. -called the place to let them know- eventually spoke to the manager weeks later (I left a message the day of the incident where I was told, "the manager will DEFINITELY get back to you," but that never happened. He was apologetic on the phone and was going to get back to me after addressing the concern as raised on the corp website. Never did. But then again, he/they were going to get back to me, for what? They might offer a gift cert or something, but I will never eat Bruegger's AGAIN nor buy it for family, friends, or coworkers. -also CORPORATE "Contact" site NEVER RESPONDED to my complaint. Guess they don't care about almost killing customers. Interesting data point. Should inform the local board of health too. Hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have never written a bad review for a business, but this one left me in such a state that I had to share for others. My brother and I decided to try this place out for a couple of bagel sandwiches and a bagel with cream cheese for my mother in law. We both decided the Farmhouse looked good, so I placed my order with the guy behind the counter. He immediately gave me attitude asking "what kind of bagel??" He proceeded to stare at me and once again shake his head, continuing to look back at me almost baiting me to argue with him. The woman coworker proceeded to complete our order realizing the tension building between him and I. I watched him take the next customers order who wanted a scooped bagel to which he once again visibly showed annoyance and frustration with that customer. He clearly didn't want to be there so I'm not sure why he even bothered to show up today. We've all had bad days at work, but to take it out on a customer who literally did and said nothing to trigger you is so out of line. Absolutely disgusting behavior that was completely unwarranted. He should not have any sort of customer service job if that is how he treats people, (which is clearly how he does since he immediately had the same attitude with the next customer). I wouldn't let this guy water the plants at this place for fear his toxic energy would wipe them all out. I'd rather go out of business than have that type of employee represent my company. I've always loved Bruegger's Bagels in the past when I lived in Boston, so when I recently brought my kids to town to visit with relatives, I really talked up this place, noting how great the food is and how I used to get bfasts and lunches from Brueggers all the time. Well, we were seriously underwhelmed when we came to this restaurant for breakfast. I was hoping to just get an egg. I know they serve eggs on their bagels in their various bfast sandwiches. I was told I couldn't get an egg. I asked for some Earl Grey tea. I was told they didn't have Earl Grey but there were other varieties and I said ok, I'll have another type. The girl at the cash rang up my kids' orders and forgot to include my tea. Then there was a problem with this girl figuring out my change (I gave her extra coinage so I could get only bills back). This totally confused her. I think she may have been new there. My kids said their meals were "okay". They ordered a bfast egg and cheese sandwich (on a bagel, of course) and a chicken Caesar salad. The food looked good and the kids ate them up. As we were leaving (me, without tea and an egg. No bfast for mama! lol!), a gentleman entered and approached the counter by the cash, big bag of bagels in hand, and said he wanted to talk to the manager, he had a problem with the bagels he got and he "never had a problem with his orders until now". He sounded pissed off, and we didn't stay to hear what the problem was, but he was obviously a regular and whatever he got, it wasn't what he wanted. Either this Bruegger's is exceptionally sub-par (compared to other Bruegger's), or they've all gone downhill, or we just hit it on a bad morning. Not sure. Terrible place! Admittedly, I still go there on occasion, even though I promise myself I will stop. It's a bad relationship. I constantly get abused by them, but always go back. Pros: The bagels are great. Cream cheese isn't my favorite, but it's passable. Sandwiches are ok. Cons: Prices are high. Coffee is usually luke warm and never very strong, even the French Roast. Read what others say about service... it's terrible. The sandwich makers are barely qualified to prep a bagel. More often than not, I find my bagel is only cut half way through, and still attached on the bottom side. Awesome. They also wrap your bagel in a tiny, thin sheet of wax paper... and NEVER, not once, put it in a bag. This has twice resulted in my entire bagel sliding out, onto the parking lot while I got into my car. Fortunately, I learned, and I now take a bag from them and put my own bagel in it. I saw a guy in front of me ask for pumpernickel with scallion cream cheese... only to get a Pumpkin bagel with Salmon cream cheese.. or some mutation of his order. They royally messed up his order. Also, the staff seems clueless, as they will stop in the middle of what they're doing for customers, in order to communicate some mundane detail to another staff member. I told you what I want, how about you finish my order before you stop what you're doing to talk to someone else about mopping the floor later. Now you have to ask me again what I ordered. It happens nearly everything I'm there. It's also expensive. Coffee and Bagel for almost $6 is a NYC breakfast, and bagels are better there. Coffee is $2+. I can get better, cheaper coffee at Starbucks. Overall: If the staff was better, this place would get 3 stars. The whole process in there sucks. If I were comparing this to Dunkin Donuts it would have 5 stars but I'm not. I'm comparing it to every other place I could get an iced coffee and bagel in Boston. Bruggers seems a little too similar to Panera to make me choose the higher prices for a bagel. One big con is that they are usually low or empty on at least a few bagel flavors at prime breakfast time. One big plus is the man who's been the cashier the past 3 times I've been here. He is friendly, welcoming, engaging and seems to remember all the regulars which certainly must help customer loyalty! Went with a friend of mine. Wasn't disappointed because I didn't have much expectations from the place. It's a different concept where sandwiches are made with Bagel instead of regular breads however they have the option of making sandwiches with regular bread. The person behind the counter was putting Cheddar cheese on my sandwich while I had asked for American cheese when I told him about it he said I am mistaken and that orangish looking slice of cheese is actually American cheese well I did not argue because I am aware of difference between American and Cheddar cheese. Will never return to this Brueggers location. Brueggars corporate, check on who you are allowing to run your shops. Maybe teach your staff and management what common courtesy is. I understand there are staffing shortages but no staff would be better than the miserable old woman you have behind the counter yelling at customers when they are confused you are out of every single item except bagels and cream cheese. I also understand there are shortages on supplies but how does a shop Expect to stay in business with nasty staff and be out of EVERY SINGLE ITEM ON YOUR MENU. That is not an exaggeration. I have been a fan of Bruegger's bagels for many years. When their local store in Framingham closed, I started buying from either their Weston store or the Wellesley stores. COVID has forced them to close, and I have tried several other bagel stores in the area, but none of them are as good as Bruegger's. Aside from the great taste, I like Bruegger's better for the size (not too big), the crust, and the texture. The cream cheeses are outstanding, my favorites being Jalapeno and Garlic & Herb. The selection of freshly made bagels is excellent; and the best news for me is that after a short hiatus, onion bagels are back!!! I noticed that a few people had negative comments about the help. That has not been my experience, in general. In fact, I am writing this review in praise of one of their staff. After a recent trip there, I called to see if I had mistakenly left my tub of cream cheese there, which I had. I told the woman who answered the phone to just forget about it because I live about 13 miles away in Framingham. She told me that she also lived in Framingham and offered to take it home with her when she got off work. We met late that afternoon and she handed me my cream cheese in a Bruegger's bag. So this review is primarily a shout out to Vina, who could not have been kinder or more customer friendly. I am sure Bruegger's cannot afford to pay much, but whatever they pay Vina is not enough. She provided customer service way above and beyond. I hope they read this review and recognize her for being a great ambassador for their business. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I am thankful for Vina! read more

My roommates and I moved about five minutes from this location and we were pretty pumped considering we love fresh bagels, coffee, tea and sandwiches. Lets start with the positives - the bagels are delicious. They have a huge variety with a large assorted of cream cheese spreads as well. I don't drink coffee but all of my roommates have thoroughly enjoyed their brews so I'll take their word for it. All things considered they are reasonably priced for fresh bagels at about $3 for a bagel with cream cheese (including tax). We have yet to have their sandwiches for breakfast or lunch but I have seen them made and they look pretty good so it is definitely on the list of things to try from them. The one reason this place got only three stars is the service. I hate to say it but the customer service needs some real improvement. I feel bad too because the do have some great workers there who are sweet and kind - but others seriously bring down the establishment making me hesitate sometimes to even go. One of the workers who I am referring to simply ignored me for a good 5 minutes while she chatted to another coworker (about non-related work items) then called next as if she was waiting on me. I proceeded to order and she rudely interrupted me and said "speak up, I can't here a thing your saying." Now, I have no problem if someone needs me to speak a little louder in order to be heard; however, her approach was rude, unkind and I was honestly tempted to walk out. She made my bagels, handed them to me and never said another word. While I will recommend their bagels, be warned that while you may get a great worker one day - you could also get one of the less than friendly ones making a morning visit seem like a hassle. read more

This place is routinely so slow that they have a line to the door because their employees can't make even the simplest of orders in fewer than five minutes. But I know your face and who you are . Be careful who you are rude to and don't EVER say "I didn't ask" to anyone ever. You are there as a service to make breakfast for customers not mouth off when they come in to nicely order! Bagel snob alert! The disclaimer needs to be there because I have high expectations for the holiest of all carbs! Bruegger's Bagels is pretty decent. They are much better priced than any bagel joint in my old stomping grounds of NYC, but the quality and sheer amazingness are simply not the same. When I'm in the mood to splurge, I'll come to this location because it's dangerously close to where I work. The problem I have with this Bruegger's is that their staff is lacking in many ways. They aren't friendly, they don't listen when you order and ask you to repeat yourself about 2-3 times, and they don't know how to manage the rush of morning customers. I like Bruegger's, but this location is terrible. The people who prep the bagels and sandwiches are completely lost and are not qualified to prep sandwiches. I ordered a turkey sausage, egg and cheese on a whole wheat bagel. The young lady who was was making my order cuts the bagel in half with a knife covered in peanut butter. (good thing I'm not allergic to nuts), and then can't figure out which is sausages are the pork and which ones are the turkey. Then I go to pay and Jose at the register tries out his Cantonese on me by saying Ne Hao Ma. Because I'm of Asian decent he assumes I am from China. I find that extremely offensive. He's English is sup par at best, and now he's trying to talk to me in Cantonese. Coffee at this Bruegger's is always off. It's always lukewarm and watery. I've been dying for a caffeine fix and still thrown the cup away. Bagels are your average Bruegger's bagels. I'm originally from New York, so they're not great but they'll pass for a bagel in the Boston area. Staff here is not friendly. The only plus here is that there's free wi-fi and you can hang out for as long as you want. It's not too comfortable, though, so I can't imagine ever really doing that. read more
