This is an old-fashioned diner with good service and good food. The diner was busy every time I visited. This is a good diner with affordable prices. I liked their cranberry pancakes. The pancakes were fluffy with the sour cranberries elevating the flavor of the pancakes. The home fried were also well seasoned. I appreciate the watermelon wedge that comes with every meal, which gives it a whimsical touch. All in all, I recommend giving this place a visit.

We loved our breakfast!! They did a great job cooking everything... The service was prompt and helpful. The ambiance was that of a typical breakfast restaurant. It was clean and well lit. It was a great place to have breakfast...They did a great job on the hollandaise sauce and with correctly poaching the eggs on my eggs Benedict....

I ordered carry out for breakfast and it was very good. We had cranberry pancakes which were so flavorful tangy and sweet! We had a side of potatoes and they made them The right way!!! We also had eggs with corn-beef hash and it too was delicious. The staff was efficient and polite. The decor has never changed since day one which makes it fun and historic.

    Fresh hot coffee.

Inhaled that! It was yummy. Hash & eggs with a side sausage. Plenty of choices though. Menu was two full pages worth of breakfast foods. All the staples and then some. Nice waitress who probably has been here for years. It was a Friday morning and there were 4-5 tables seated so there's room when not rush hour. If you're in Waltham or surrounding and need a breakfast fix. This is a good choice.

Beware. Refills of coffee are extra cost unknown to us at the time. Most places charge one price per cup which includes refills. She kept coming by topping off our two cups and on the check charging us almost $14 for two coffees. Everything is extra in this place. You can see for yourself in picture of slip. Just a heads up..

Breakfast special - scambled eggs, homestyle potatoes, bacon, cheese.

If you've heard the saying that looks can be deceiving, it would apply to the breakfast/lunch spot! On the outside it doesn't look like anything special. On the inside it is also a humble view. The food however makes it worth the trip. I stopped here for brunch to meet my cousin while in town. We got some coffee, fresh OJ, and I got the breakfast special while my hubby & my cousin both got the steak and eggs. Everything was good.

Used to be our go to brunch spot since it is walking distance from my place. But during our recent visit, the food was not that great. Hope the quality doesn't g downhill.

Cranberry pancakes w/ eggs and bacon! 2nd time there!! Awesome as the first time

Cute place, friendly staff, and good food. Downside is the parking lot and the restroom.

Wilson's Diner offers plenty of very tasty breakfast and lunch options in a very casual ambiance…read more However, the real reason to check it out is the opportunity to eat a meal in a historic railcar diner that's been around since 1946. The perfectly preserved railcar diner (even down to the original refrigerator and clock on the wall) is only one of a few dozen still operating as a diner out of the hundreds that built by the Worcester Lunch Car Co. in the 1940s and 1950s. Maria Kitidis Mackay and her father George bought the diner in January 2020 and one or both of them are usually working the griddle daily.. as they were when I recently visited. I recently stopped in for breakfast two days in a row while visiting friends in Concord and the food was excellent both times. On my first visit, I had the two-egg platter ($8) with a unique Greek loukaniko sausage (+$7). The next day, I had the same platter with traditional pork sausage links (+$3). Both platters came with home fries and toast, and everything was incredibly fresh, hot, and really tasty. My dining companion also thoroughly enjoyed her meals and the classic diner ambiance. She tried the Florentine benedict ($14), which came topped with perfectly sautéed spinach and tomato, and on the next visit went with the spinach and feta omelet ($13). Our servers stopped by a few times to ensure everything was good. The only minor disappointment we experienced was that our servers didn't offer to refill our coffee, but otherwise, it was a fantastic visit. Maybe I should have asked? It is a terrific experience all around. Highly recommend checking this place out if you want great food, unique history, and a classic diner atmosphere! Even taking away a 1/2 star for our coffee snafu, it's still a solid 4.5 stars for the overall experience -- rounded up to 5 stars. PRO TIP: Bring cash. Wilson's does not accept credit cards.
