He felt disappointed that the restaurant had no muffins and that the Jamba Juice smoothies and juices were not being made. I had breakfast here with a group on Sunday and Monday morning while staying at the Omni. It was decent, and staff were chill. The location is very spacious. I enjoyed the art inside and that you could order bagels or items from Jamba Juice. On the weekdays, you can enter the location from the Omni or every day from Grant St. I tried a caramel macchiato, sausage, egg, and cheese on everything bagel, the western on everything bagel, and side hashbrown. I would say my favorite was the sausage egg and cheese. The western was okay, but the bacon was super small. I don't think I'd get the hashbrown again, there was a strong cheese taste and mushy texture I can't describe that I was not a fan of. An average bagel shop in Pittsburgh combined with a Jamba Juice. The food was hot, everything was accurate, it just didn't blow us away. The staff was nice and friendly, even helped me place a specialty order due to an allergy so we appreciate them being accommodating. We only waited about 10-12 minutes for our food (7 bagel sandwiches), which is fine but what was strange is while we were waiting, the staff locked all the doors which did not allow for guests to enter or exit. It was a little eerie since we couldn't leave and had to track down an employee to unlock the door and let us out. (Mind you, it was 10:30 AM on a Sunday, approximately 13-15 people in the store either ordering, waiting, or eating and the staff said they were closed, and not taking any more orders.) We got our food, it was fine, and we left (after the employee had to let us out) and due to this bizarre experience and average food, probably will be finding another quick breakfast spot and won't be back. read more

Then, when someone comes to pick up an internet order, he has to make their coffee separately (because for some reason, coffee orders don't show up when you make an order online). Ah, such a big wait. The bagels must be great! What? Soggy, soft, mushy? C'mon! I'm from New York - this bagel would have been sent back. Okay, an absurd line with just one person working and a bad bagel. Surely, this must be under a dollar. Wrong again! $2.19 for a bagel with nothing on it. Or more accurately, this store wouldn't have lasted a week. $4.38 for two garbage bagels? That's the price of four great New York bagels. How is this place still open? He is done with his transaction but is having an extended conversation with the woman behind the cash register like he knows her or is a regular. I tried to make for the counter since some of them were also standing in front of a register but one of the employees helpfully said "She will help you," indicating the girl who continued to chat with her friend and completely ignore me. :-/ Then I finally get to order and the conversation went like this: Me: "You guys have the acai bowls? I want the strawberry..." Her: "We don't have the bowls here." (I guess since the Jamba Juice takes up the room the bowls need?) Me: "OK then I'll have a garlic bagel..." Her: "No garlic." *gestures behind her* "Those are the bagels we have." Me: "Sigh. OK I will have an EVERYTHING bagel with chive cream cheese and a plain bagel with plain cream cheese and two coffees with cream." Her: OK, rings me up. My bagels are prepared. I am then told that the girl who helpfully said "SHE could help me" was responsible for getting the coffee. And even though there were no other customers, she moved like molasses. I had to ask for a carrier, as one was not offered. And then, as I was leaving, one of the people behind the counter shouts "Hey honey!" And I turn around and she goes "Not you!" It's like the staff here thinks they are at summer camp. I would hate to see it when it is busy. The whole thing was frustrating and stupid. It was TERRIBLE service from beginning to end. I was excited to see that there was a Jamba juice that was close to my hotel while I was visiting Pittsburgh, but if there's one thing I've learned, because it is a franchised chain the quality varies tremendously. I've been to those that have been excellent and those that have been lacking. And this one I'm afraid to say is lacking. The young lady at the register with multiple piercings was absolutely no help. It was clear she did not want to be there and three of the things I tried to order she said they just did not have. How could you be out of things or wouldn't you want to give the customer a heads up first that they are out of those things? They did not have any of the bases available for the bowls and there were no suggestions made. The response I was given was they had the bases but they were frozen solid and there was nothing They could do about it. You're supposed to blend them! My job was on the floor, it was clear that they really just didn't want to make the bowl! No wonder this place has two stars! Now let's talk about the cafe. They are takeout only. Everything is closed. Still?? The place has trash on the floor, bugs near the trash, it's not a friendly atmosphere, and unfortunately this is just not one of the better Jamba juices. It's a shame. At one point this obviously regular friendly guy came in and ask the girl while she was making mine for you know, the one with the strawberry I always get. She rolled her eyes and responded that he needed to pay first. He laughed politely was like yes, I know, I'm just still deciding what I want. We live in close proximity to this location and being avid fanatics of Jamba Juice we were so happy there is a close location to us. But this location lacks cleanliness and staff. Upon arriving, their is always trash on the floor, everything is sticky and trash is overflowing. Management really needs to get more help for their employees, since this location is very popular especially on the weekends. So expect to wait about 30 mins to order your food and get your food. When you get your food, the bagels are very good and their Jamba Juice is always delicious, its just the initial wait and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Eggs are pre made egg patties... the sandwiches sound good but are in reality very unsatisfying. It was a sloppy, slippery sandwich too. Felt apart while trying to eat it. No eating in the building either so nothing quite like trying to eat it in the cold. Staff seems unhappy/tired/overworked. Need I say more? The coffee was extremely watery, and after waiting 40 minutes for my bagel sandwich, the egg was not fully cooked and the avocado was brown. I hadn't been to this Bruegger's location in years and I was floored. Take-out only, no chairs at all, and absolutely filthy. On the Jamba Juice side, there was a clear drink dispenser against the wall. I'm not entirely sure what it was for, maybe juice? The liquid inside resembled dishwater. My stomach turned and I questioned even ordering food but I was starving and had to get something into my system. My boyfriend and I each ordered a Siracha Honey Sunrise sandwich. She said they were out of everything bagels and whole wheat everything. We were obviously disappointed but opted for plain bagels. Well, the sandwiches had plain bacon on them, not peppered bacon. Then I realized, why did we pay $7+ each for them? They were just bacon, egg, and cheese bagels with cream cheese. My boyfriend didn't like his and ending up throwing it away. There were only two employees there at the time, and both were kind and doing their job. I don't fault them because they clearly needed help. I also understand that the business climate is difficult-- crime has increased in the city, and so has loitering. I'm sure you can't eat inside because homeless people were congregating there.
