There was a performance at Heinz Hall, the Noah Kahan concert at PNC Park, and Anthrocon all happening at the same time, so the restaurant was absolutely packed. That said, the experience left a lot to be desired. It was the middle of a July heat wave, and the restaurant was uncomfortably warm inside. The ordering and pickup process was confusing, and there was initially no ice available until the machine was restocked. There also weren't any napkins out, and when we received our pizza, we weren't given plates, forks, or any other utensils... so we basically had to eat it as-is straight off the warm pizza pan. I understand that busy weekends can stretch any restaurant thin, and I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt because of everything happening around downtown that day. I would probably give Pizza Bari another try on a less hectic weekend to see if the experience is different. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I can only give it 2 out of 5 stars.

Even with toppings to spruce it up, it feels like any number of chain pizza joints. If you are close, in a hurry, and nothing else is open, this place is okay. There are much better choices in the area. That said, it's cozy inside, and very clean if you plan to eat-in. I will also add that I still need to try their Sicilian pizza since I'm having a hard time finding a really good one in the area.
