It wasn't crowded, and the waitstaff were friendly and polite, which made for a good first impression. Unfortunately, the overall experience quickly went downhill. The food took an unusually long time to arrive, and there was a simple miscommunication with my order. These things happen, and I was perfectly understanding about it. However, when I asked to have the order corrected, the situation became unnecessarily difficult. The manager's response was dismissive and dominating, turning what should have been a straightforward fix into a frustrating power struggle. Instead of working toward a solution, the interaction felt unaccommodating and counterproductive to the otherwise calm environment. It left the impression of a fear-based management style rather than one focused on hospitality and customer care. With a more staff centered, customer-focused approach from management, this could be a much better experience in the Homestead PA location! read more

Food is commonly put together in front of you while in line. The choices are up and over the wall for bagels.

Don't come here if you're vegetarian! My experience was personally a 2 stars, but i know that if I rate it purely from a vegetarian standpoint, that would be bringing down the business when I don't know how good or bad the meat options are. Anyways, I got the cheese and egg bagel and the double baked hash brown. The double baked hash brown was disgusting! It looks/smells/tastes a lot less like a hash brown and more like an overcooked potato in the oven. I barely recognized it as a hash brown, and only classified it as such based on remembering what I ordered. The egg and cheese bagel is also terrible. Nothing like literally being stared down until we left by the manager (I assume he was the manager - a bearded man working the morning of 11/9/24) literally for asking if someone was going to take our order. This happened after we walked in and literally standing in front of the "order here" sign for no less than five minutes without acknowledgment of any kind from any one behind the counter (we were the only ones in line). No one looked up, no one said anything - just us standing there wondering what the process was. That's when I asked if someone was going to take our order. Could I have sounded a little less agitated? Probably, and will take accountability for not being a zen warrior unaffected by the utter contempt demonstrated for having to "deal" with customers who are looking to patronize the business. So... We then gave the gentleman (the worker, not the manager) our order and after doing so he walked away shaking his head like we were so rude for interrupting his process. He then said a few words to the bearded fellow and that's when the school yard antics started. He started looking at me like he was waiting for me to do something like rob the place. We stood there for another couple minutes waiting to pay but again everyone just walked away. So, I asked, to no one in particular, where do I pay? I had no idea what was happening! Another lady then walked over and I told her that the one guy took our order already and she said she needed to take it again. Maybe they all assumed I was a mind reader knowing that this was the painful rite of initiation in order to get a breakfast bagel. I don't know. By this time, the bearded man was giving me a stare down full time which I thought might be because he wanted to make sure I got helped. (Trying to assume the best). With that going on, we all gave our order yet again, paid and went to go sit down...all the while with this guy continuing to give me the stink eye. By now, I knew it was certainly the stink eye. Every time I looked up he was glaring at me. Our food came and needless to say, we ate quickly and left. We continued to be stared down as we left and walked by. It was like we were in the twilight zone. I have never felt more and comfortable as a customer in an establishment ever before. I was with my wife and my daughter just looking to have a bagel. Maybe Einstein leadership,, I meant the owner or headquarter management, should secret shop that location. Or at least provide the team a customer service refresher course. It really is not that hard to be nice when patrons enter the premises and are looking to be helped to take a quick second and say, "thanks for stopping in, we will be right with you, step over here when you're ready to order." But at the very least, I want to tell that guy, congratulations, you won the staring contest. The prize is, the store has lost a customer. ! read more

Well, when I was a kid, people used to say "the customer I always right." How far we've fallen. Anyway, I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom at this place. When I left the bathroom to buy three " everything" bagels, by 1:30, Einstein's was all out. But then the fun begins: As I was leaving, the floor cleaner apprised me that the door from which I was going to leave was now locked. I barely heard him, and I continued down the corridor and attempted to turn the locking mechanism to open in order to leave. Apparently the floor cleaner's issue was that he had already mopped the corridor and didn't want anyone to go that way (a different concept from "the door is locked"). In any case, the took offense at my having walked on his floor and proceeded to angrily complain at my back. And then, when I left out the front, he came to the back and informed me that I cannot come back to their Einstein's store. All I can say is, you can always tell when a business is hanging on by a thread. I was glad they had hired an American to do the floor cleaning, but then I realized why all the oligarchs want foreigner's now. read more

As requested, I sent my honest review to the customer service address given, only to get no response and no follow up. Don't offer to make things right if you're not going to follow through. Einstein Bros is just another big chain. The store is in a busy area and does not have a lot of parking. I had a toasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. The staff where helpful and friendly and service overall was great. The bagel itself was just ok nothing special. If I was desperate for a bagel and I was in the area I suppose I would go back. But I have to say I would not go back unless I had to. There are too many other bagel places to settle on just ok. read more

I was patient even though i was in a hurry - then i was charged 4.50. i handed her a $5.... Then i was thinking why is a raisin bagel that much? So I asked and she said its the cream cheese - I said never ordered cream cheese - she just stared at me and said nothing! I said well never-mind I'll take it. I obviously came here for my free breakfast sandwhich which they offer to everyone who dowloads the app. The signature breakfast bagel, while being pretty typical of a breakfast sandwhich, still gives you everything you expect in a breakfast bagel. While satisfying, they may want to experiment more with new flavor profiles rather than stick with their tried and true recipes. Nonetheless, I stand by that this is a solid restaurant chain. Having formerly worked at a place that shared the same kitchen with this place in college, I know for a fact that thet use the freshest ingredients. They have also perfected their bacon in having optimal taste and textural characteristics. This location in particular also has excellent customer service. They are patient, attentive, quick and aware of their products - basically everything you look for in good customer service. In conclusion, don't hesitate in coming here if you are looking for a breakfast sandwhich on the way to work! Oh, and BTW, they also have really good cream cheese. read more

Tried out Einstein Bagels for the first time! Got their Everything Bagel + Honey Walnut shmear (highly recommend btw) and their hazelnut coffee. Indoor dining was open at a limited capacity, and staff were wearing gloves and masks for safety reasons which was assuring. The coffee station was self-serve (a bit concerning due to public contact) but otherwise it was great. Cant wait to try their bagel sandwiches! read more

This was my first time at an Einstein bros bagels. They have a much larger menu than I was expecting. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the menu. I ordered the avocado bagel and an iced chai tea latte. The bagel was good with the avocado. I was not a huge fan of the chai tea latte. It was much sweeter than I am used to. Everything was reasonably priced. I'm sure I'll be back every once in a while. Not my favorite breakfast place. read more

I asked for light cream cheese, he gave me regular cream cheese which is easy to tell as there is a significant difference in the taste (I even asked him if he used light cream cheese and he lied and said yes). When I paid I was surprised at the price, I commented to my boyfriend 'oh wow $8.50 for a bagel, but I did get lox' I didn't mean it rudely I was honestly just a little surprised but the man making the bagel overheard and gave me and my boyfriend an incredibly rude look and shook his head. In my search for the best bagel in Pittsburgh, I bit the bullet and walked into the Einstein Brothers bagel shop on Greentree Rd, which doesn't show up as existing on Yelp! for some odd reason. But believe me it's there right next to Starbucks and the Olive Garden. The menu is extensive with breakfast served anytime up until closing at four. I've had many different items on the menu including the eggwhite and turkey sausage breakfast bagel. It's wonderful on the asiago cheese bagel, whole wheat, and the good grains bagel. The turkey rueben excels on pumpernickel bagel and the rye bagel, and is easily the heartiest of the sandwiches. I have a deep seated love of nova lox with all the fixings. Einstein Bros does it right with a nice schmear of cream cheese, a thin slice of lox, sliced purple onion, tomato, and capers. This is how to enjoy breakfast, and with a cup of their French roast coffee, it's a great way to start the day. Beware, the lox and bagel breakfast can have a whopping 600 calories, I lighten it up by putting it on a bagel thin, and having them use the light cream cheese. Have the bagel toasted. After all the tastings I've come to the conclusions that I really like Einstein Bros bagels, especially the good grains bagel. They have great sandwiches, soups, sides and coffee. I feel like a discovered a real gem with Einstein Bros Bagels in Bloomfield. The staff are some of the coolest nicest people I've ever encountered at establishments of this type. They made me feel really welcome. The coffee is self-service and there's fast free wifi. It's a great place to hang out while you're waiting for your film to be processed at the nearby CVS. What I like most about it is the kind of 'motorway service stop' vibe at Einstein Bros, particularly in the decor and music choices. I feel like I'm an adventurer, Kerouacan beatnik or lone-ranging truck driver while I chow down here. I will definitely be back. read more

Einstein's bagels are consistently soft and delicious, and I would know because I've been here a billion times. They almond honey cream cheese is totally bomb! It's worth just getting a tub of it and eating it out of the tub straight up. I would stay away from the bagel poppers since they're not very good. I came in for breakfast this morning and ordered the Bagel and Lox. The bagel itself was fantastic - the best bagel I have had in Pittsburgh - but the toppings were not as tasty. I'm not sure whether it was the tomato or the salmon, but it tasted as if one of them had recently come out of the freezer (or at a minimum an extremely cold fridge). This really ruined the whole meal. If I come back, next time I will just order a bagel and cream cheese. Been there every morning recently. Price can be a little high for a $3 bagel with cream cheese. But the large variety available definitely pays off. Tried different choices. Favorite was still blueberry bagel w/ blueberry cream cheese that I got during my first visit. If you haven't tried Nova Lox you should try it. I like to make the analogy of making an inside-out sushi but it was surprisingly good anyway. Sandwiches are a little over prized, but definitely hot and fresh. And a good breakfast starts a good day! Staff are friendly. Normally doesn't run out of space for eating in. Came from out of town and looked for a place that would be open the morning of the 4th of July. Place was packed, but they had the A-team working. Got our bagels and coffee quick and out the door in time to have a great holiday. Usually holiday crews aren't very good, but from bagel-builder to cashier all employees handled the rush very well despite having to work on such a fun day.
