Another frustrating experience at the Upper Arlington Bruegger's today. I ordered iced tea and when they handed it to us, it was pale. So I asked for them to replace it with a Coke which they did. Get our order home and I had ordered a bagel with cream cheese on the side and it was the wrong flavor of cream cheese. Very frustrating! My husband ordered a large coffee and it was not hot. It's normally boiling hot and this is the second time in a row the coffee has been lukewarm. When I tell you that I will NEVER be back. ‍ I work in the area, so I put aside the lack of quality customer service because I do really like the bagels. I get them plain, nothing on them, literally two or three bagels in a bag and I am out the door. Today, I was greeted by someone behind the counter- she was busy making a sandwich and said someone would be right with me. Very nice. Cool. She continued to make the sandwich she was tasked with, but then BOTH she and I watched as two of her colleagues walked right past me. Neither asked me what I needed or if I was being helped. Eventually, she stopped what she was doing, apologized and grabbed two bagels for me. She apologized again. I told her to have a good day and truly, my problem was not with her. She saw exactly what happened, as did I. I hope she has an amazing day, she was nothing but kind, but I will no longer be spending my time or money here. I'm a girl that loves a good bagel. The only thing is that I tend to be very picky. There's one locally owned spot that I love, and a few that I don't. It took a friend that I've known forever to drag me to Bruegger's. I just didn't get the hype. Legit, she offered to drive 10 minutes away to score one on a Sunday morning. At that point I had to see it for myself. We arrived to find a packed house. I mean, line all the way out the door. Fifteen to twenty minute wait. Ok, it had to be amazing right? I finally got to the counter and placed an order. I went with a toasted parmesan, asiago cheese bagel with one of their twice baked potato hashbrown things (my friend told me I just had to try it). The price tag was cheap and my meal was ready pretty quickly after that. I finally dug in when we got home and low and behold, it was pretty damn good. It could have used a longer toasting and I'll likely skip the hash brown thingy. Better than my favorite local spot? Nah. Good enough that I would go back? Definitely. Spouse ordered breakfast for me today. The muffin they served me was raw in the center. Literally gooey like uncooked batter. The sausage and egg gave off a taste that made me gag and nearly twisted my sprained ankle trying to get to a can to spit it back out. I happened to come by right after they opened and had plenty of time to peruse the bagel options, as there were no other customers in the store. I ended up opting for a little variety of bagels: sesame, pretzel, blueberry, and cinnamon sugar to go. Their sandwiches also sounded good, and may need to be part of a future order for us! The bagels were all well enjoyed, particularly the cinnamon sugar, which was apparently finger licking good (per the kid)! The staff was friendly and helpful. The dining room is open and looked nice and clean. Settled on a cup of decaf coffee- and it was lukewarm and the employee could only give me 1/2 a cup ( but I paid for a full one). My husband and I come here just about every Saturday morning and we love it! They have great bagels and ample seating. Their bagels are nice and chewy on the inside but still crisp on the outside. They have some great flavors and change out new ones every season. They also have seasonal coffee blends which I highly recommend trying! I love the coconut iced coffee during the summer and the pumpkin spice in the fall. There are usually people working on computers at some of the tables, but it doesn't feel like a Panera or like a coffee shop. You can also see the bagels being made, which is pretty fun. I'm giving them 4 instead of 5 stars because a few times recently the bagels haven't been as crispy on the outside, or the toppings have been lacking. The food is good, but the service is horrible. They started clearing out the dinning area over a half an hour before close. We had to stand there for an uncomfortable long period of time while the people working there stared at us. At first, I thought they were in the middle of something and was giving them a minute, but then the worker made a snappy comment asking if we were ready. The checkout process was also miserable. No Apple Pay and claimed the gift-card system was down. I didn't have a bad experience, the service and food was just fine. However, please stop asking people if they want to tip the staff. There is a tip jar at the register, which is sufficient. The gentleman at the register asked the young man behind me if he wanted to tip the staff and it was uncomfortable pressure. People know how tipping works and will do so as they can. As the girl finished putting the first 12 in the bag, I said "oh I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you that I need those bagels sliced." Here response, "Next time, tell me before I put them in the bag." Yes, I should have told her to cut them before she put them in the bag, but no way she should talk down to a customer like that. Let me start by saying that I NEVER give reviews but this is an exception due to the fact that this store in particular is so badly managed. My coworkers and I are regular customers and everytime we come in, they always prioritize other people's orders even though they have us waiting 15+ minutes for our orders. there is always something missing in the bagels which all happen to be the same. And there have been many times where the manager will be seen "twerking" in front of all the people who are waiting for their food. Please fix management cause this can't go any longer. Over the holidays, I received the gift of a bottomless cup of coffee from Bruegger's. Granted, I can use it at any Bruegger's location, but I always end up getting my coffee from here every Friday morning. It's a quick in-and-out for me, but that's the way I prefer it. I consider myself a fairly traditional coffee drinker, so I always order the house blend with cream and two sugar substitutes (hey, I've got to keep the tonnage in check somehow). I know they offer seasonal flavors, which my wife really likes, but that's just not my style. The coffee is always hot and fresh when I arrive, and the staff always lets me jump the food line. I've got no complaints at all with the coffee or the service. Perhaps I'll try the food sometime soon, and, if it's good, my rating will go up. read more

They give you a lot of salmon for the price, and the capers and tomatoes go really well with it! A decent bagel should be crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Brueggers Bagels is able to achieve that standard and that's why I make a trip every month or so to add variety to my normal egg sandwich at home breakfast routine. My regular order is the smoked salmon bagel which combines the saltiness of the salmon and capers with the sweetness of the red onion and cream cheese. My preference is to select the pumpernickel bagel (which in addition to its crunchy exterior has that coveted slightly glossy exterior). And bonus points here for the staff because they consistently work in a very efficient and orderly manner. Even during the peak morning hours, the staff takes orders promptly and sandwiches are carefully prepared while one can grab coffee and checkout. Coffee-only patrons can jump to the head of the line seamlessly, grab their coffee and go. With great service and authentic bagels, Brueggers should be considered as an option for anyone making regular trips to Tremont Panera or Starbucks. read more
