I was craving a breakfast sandwich, when I passed by this spot. I thought I'd give it a try. I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on a toasted bagel. I washed it down with a large cup of coffee. The two employees were bantering back and forth about the dining room set up and drink station supplies. I felt like they were focused on getting cups out rather than preparing my order. The sandwich wasn't great. We love Barry Bagels and have been eating them for nearly 10 years however they keep getting smaller and smaller and the prices continue to rise. 2 people working, no one else in store except a woman waiting on a door dash. I stood at the counter for 10 minutes. While I was glanced at several times, not a word was said. I was never even acknowledged. Finally a lovely woman (I think her name is Rachelle) came in, clocked in, apologized several times and helped me. The extra star is just for her. Still zero acknowledgment from the other 2. If you don't want customers in your shop, just be mobile only. That's clearly the priority. Sometimes you just want a bagel! We ordered online then came to pick up. It was probably close to 9:45 on a weekday and there were 2 customers inside. Not busy at all, but I saw only 1 worker. I'm not sure how busy they were before then, but I'm sure it must've been stressful. The staff member didn't really say anything to us. When we mentioned our order was behind the counter, they gave it to us then rushed to help the customer at the register. Kinda wish they had at least greeted us or maybe said "have a nice day." The bagels were almost cut in half but not quite all the way...Not sure what happened there. They call the breakfast sandwiches Eggels. Anywho, I got an everything bagel with eggs and ham. My sister got the same as me except with cheddar cheese and on a Sunny grain bagel. My everything bagel was fantastic while hers was bland. To be honest, the sandwich would've been completely bland if it hadn't been for the everything bagel. They didn't seem to have salted the eggs and I hardly tasted the ham. It wasn't a bad price for it, but I probably would get a bagel with cream cheese next time. I would potentially have business meetings at this location. My recommendation would be to put something neutral on to be more welcoming to all people. First time ever! Passed by many times and I have to say I was very impressed. Tv's to relax, a clean crisp environment for you to relax, any kind of drink. I would have preferred an espresso since I was half asleep when I walked in. The bagel selection was awesome, the sandwiches were hand made and warmed in foil so you will have a warm sandwich when you returned home. They even had dog bagels which both my dogs loved. One of our favorite spots to get bagels in the area is Barry's. A few of the things that set Barry's apart from the rest are the wide array of bagel selections and the amount of salmon you get on the lox sandwich. They are also one of the few places you can get Matzah Ball soup on our side of town. You can get it with chicken and noodles or just the broth. I'm a huge fan of the chicken and noodle style. Barry's is located in a strip mall in Dublin on Frantz road. It's a huge Deli style affair where you order at the counter and either pay and go or have a seat, at one of their many tables. We typically order door dash and I either have a salt bagel and lox or matzah ball soup. Occasionally if I'm feeling really froggy I'll have both. My husband usually gets the veggie and hummus bagel. They also have huge chocolate chip cookies and Rice Krispie treats. Both are phenomenal. Love this place! read more

Being a Toledo Ohio native I was excited to see one of my favorite bagel shops in Dublin. Unfortunately, the the experience was not the same. Service was ok but the bagels were substantially lower quality than I'm used to in Toledo from the same shop. Bagels were so hard and stale tasting I couldn't eat the whole thing same case for the other sandwiches ordered. Small and tough bagels are a no for me. read more

Every now and again, I'll get a great bagel from here, even though they are noticeably smaller than most other bagels. But about half this time, they will give me a bagel that should have been discarded, like today. The 2 everything bagels I received were no more than one inch thick before being sliced. Very disappointed, again. There seems to be no quality control here and that's why I rarely visit. Our family was really craving sesame seed bagels today and searched places near us (Panera discontinued making them, Kroger didn't have them and neither did Giant Eagle). Went to Uber Eats and saw Barry had them, we were all so excited. So we order a bakers dozen along with some other items. We received our order and went to eat and found that the bag was full of plain bagels!!!!!! At the very bottom of the bag were two sesame seed bagels! Nobody called us to tell us, nobody reached out to see if we wanted something else bc they were out, nothing!!! On top of that when we went to call them they were closed! Went to redeem a Groupon for my daughter. I ordered a dozen bagels, assorted flavors, and pound of veggie cream cheese, which is what the Groupon was. The employee offered to slice the bagels, which was extremely nice! I also got a serving of matzo ball soup, which my daughter said was delicious! I LOVE Barry Bagels and come here weekly. Love the quality of bagels and amount of cream cheese. I do recommend asking to double toast. I also love the bagel dogs & breakfast sandwiches. I have a few comments for improvement- only because there have been some consistent issues. Why no slicer? I do love a hand cut bagel, but the benefit / effort .. in the morning rush just sucks the life out of your employees. Consistency in presentation/packaging - some slice in the center, some don't, some slice the bagel dog, some don't, some wrap the bagel, some bag the bagel ect. Sometimes I need to travel between office locations for work. When I do, I try to time it for lunch time so I can stop here. I've had the rare roast beef sandwich and matzoh ball soup (you can order it without noodles) but my go to item is a salt bagel toasted and buttered. The staff is friendly and always greet you like a regular, and even when busy are willing to answer questions or ask you about your preferences so you're happy with your food. For example, I ordered the chicken salad one day and was asked questions regarding the scoop portion sizes. Only negative is the staff which are consistently rude and not helpful at all. I tolerate this because their bagels are so good. The restaurant had banners and signs hanging half way off the wall and both bathrooms were posted as out of order yet the employees used them several times while we were there. I wanted to like this place so bad. The location is convenient. If you want the bagels toasted you will need to request it to be double toasted. Otherwise, they are doughy and chewy. The staff is rude. Like, incredibly rude. The woman helping me would not respond and snapped at the person i was with. I very rarely write reviews. But I had to write one on this place because their food is soooo good and their service is sooo bad. It's a real shame to feel like a bother when simply ordering two egg sandwiches. I walked in and saw the long line, knowing it must be good and I'll happily wait. The longer I waited, the longer I watched the lady working glare at the customers and pay no attention to the food while she wiped her nose on her arm and kept working. Very fresh, very light and absolutely delicious. I ordered delivery and was surprised at how quickly it arrived. Additionally, even though I placed my order early (lists that soup isn't available until after 9am), they had it all packaged and ready before 9 for the delivery guy. Major props. This is our neighborhood bagel shop. Pretty good food when you can get it. Terribly understaffed and have been for a long time. We never even try to just drop in and pick up a bagel or sandwich. Line never moves. Used to try ordering ahead but that's not working now. Takes less time to drive to competitor than get bagels from this shop 2 minutes from home. Made the mistake today of ordering ahead to pick up prior to first appointment of the day. Nothing ready. This is bagel and cream cheese. There is literally nothing to put together.
