These people stole the vehicle of a single father of four girls after a dispute with the American red cross. My audi q7 was towed in ave after a dispute with the red cross over but wanting to provide documents showing they were a legitimate business wth appropriate insurance. I ended up hospitalized ave undergoing surgery and the shop worker said my car was safe. Once payment went through to the new shop I tried to have my car towed and was told my car was never there. I showed then paperwork from their shop ave they just claimed they had no knowledge. I have reported vehicle stolen and will be filing in court soon. Stay away. My local mechanic has recommended Bruhms for years, so I have purchased 5 sets of tires through the years (old owner) my 6th set was my last (new owner). I told the guy I needed tires and that I was taking a trip, when I picked up my truck the guy said I need 2 lower ball joints so they did not front align, took truck to my guy he said they were fine, when I got out on the highway the truck began to shake like a paint shaker at 70-80 mph, I reach my destination, went to a local shop and had the tires "re" balanced "they were never balanced and the right front rim was bent, they put the bent on the rear, they checked out my front end after my story, they said it was fine. I have been a customer of Bruhms since I was a teenager..The new owners put 2 new front tires on and hubcap came off 2 days later ..They gave me a reasonable price; however, after replaced they charged me an additional $100.00..They then said I needed a tune-up for $300.00 and all my brakes and rotors repaired for $600.00! I got a second opinion and my tune up was $50.00 and all of my brakes and rotors were in good condition and needed no repair!!!! These people are taking advantage of customers! Bruhm's Tire & Service is a full service repair facility. I went only for an oil change on a referral. I was surprised that the service area was so large as it looks like a small place from the street. Bruhm's has a large service area with approximately 6 lifts and a few mechanics. It also has a large office area with a few seats for waiting customers and a large lot to park cars outside. The staff is polite and direct which is great in the auto repair business. My Dad used Bruhm's for 20 years until he retired and so did many of his coworkers since Bruhm's is near his company. My Dad is very knowledgeable about cars and fixed cars as a side hobby when he was younger so he can tell if a garage does a bad job or lied about rotating tires, etc. I got a damaged tire this week from the atrocious potholes in MA. Bruhm's squeezed me in to replace the tire quickly despite how busy they are. Everything is running smoothly so far. They did a great job and were very patient guiding me on what to do since I know nothing about tires. Now our other car that I drove in NY had this drive shaft problem for 3 years. I brought the car to be examined by so many shops! Lots of wild goose chases, time wasted, and ridiculously high quotes and they didn't even identify the problem correctly! Lost all this money paying diagnostic fees at the dealer and 2 other car shops who all made the wrong diagnosis. They had me replacing this and that and still the problem persisted. I rely on Yelp reviews TONS myself but I got burned when I once chose a shop's 50-100 perfect reviews to repair my car after someone under the influence driving illegally side swiped me. That business lied to me that they rotated my tires and did a mediocre job with repairs. Just picking up my car after repairs, I got held up an extra half hour when the door signal light would not turn off. They thought they finally fixed it so I could drive off. Except a week later the problem came back forcing me a make an out of way trip back to them to fix it. Just goes to show you never know if you can trust overly glowing reviews or determine what's legit or not. Anyway after relocating to MA, my Dad recommended me to take my car to Bruhm's who diagnosed the problem correctly after many other shops failed. Bruhm's did a fabulous job fixing the problem and didn't quote an outrageous inflated price. It is just surreal to hear and experience my car running so smoothly after 3 years of suffering. My Dad also can confirm they did a terrific job. So happy!!!!! They also did the best job replacing the brakes on my car years ago (not easy for my car and a NY garage struggled mightily the first time and still fell short of Bruhm's skill level). When I was waiting for my car to be repaired, there were many longtime customers (10-20 years) who dropped by and asked them to look at this and that. One guy who chatted with me said he's been using them 20 years and like our experience he only has high praise about them. Every longtime customer was very appreciative and respectful to them. Like them, I felt lucky to be their customer. They have the best ethics compared to all the car repair shops that I've dealt with. If anyone has worked in the service industry as I have, you'd know how hard it is to deal with the public. What I found was John and his crew offered much more than good tires cheap; I found a group of talented and humorous mechanics. The ONLY drawback is the wait. The other reviews are spot on! This review is long overdue. As a single woman, owning used cars most of my life, I wish I found Bruhm's Tire a LONG time ago. We all know dealerships are very pricey and I used to dread going to the car mechanic. I would almost always get ripped off in one way or another. I don't know a great deal about cars and many mechanics took advantage of that. I never once felt that way dealing with Bruhm's. After getting excellent service for many years now, I will never go anywhere else. My daughter recently started driving and we felt comfortable buying a cheap car for her only because Bruhms is so close and reliable. I can't rate Bruhm's more highly. I had a bad run of mechanics who managed to find hundreds of dollars in inflated repair needs with every oil change. I switched to Bruhm's and John is a textbook "honest mechanic." Oil changes and tire rotations are very inexpensive. When I needed new brakes, he charged me half of what other mechanics quoted for high quality work. One day I was driving and it suddenly could barely turn the wheel. There was a terrible grinding noise and the car was practically not drivable. I got it to John, using all the buzz phrases I probably shouldn't have used - "if it's repairable" - "call me and let me know how bad it is" - "It's had a good run!" - I picked it up later that day. $50, including an oil change and rotation. He found a ground up lightbulb in my engine. No clue how it got there, but no doubt I would have had a massive repair bill anywhere else I brought it. In fact, the last time I was in he accidentally charged my credit card $10 too little for an oil change and I had to stand there and argue with him to get him to charge me the full amount! He wanted to let it go! If you're looking for an honest, qualified mechanic - go to Bruhms. read more

I regret coming here. I had got new tires installed at another shop that I felt did a bad job, weights fell off etc... bruhms did an even worse job. They used angle grinders and sanded my rims to stick weights. Steering wheel is crooked. And I don't trust them to fix it after all, it's damage and they clearly can't see straight, and difficult to talk to. This place is a joke unless you don't care about your vehicle. Don't bring any newer vehicle or quality rim here. They will damage them. I've lost faith in mechanics on the simplest of tasks, and this place came highly recommended to fix the problem i was having. What a shame. Waste of money. No stars. read more

I recently had some electrical issues and brake issues and Bruhms took great care of things at a very reasonable price. Sad to say, but it's always anxiety provoking to take my car to the shop as a female, the likelihood of being upcharged/oversold/taken advantage of are really high. I found John to be a straight shooter who didn't talk down to me or try to intimidate me with mechanic talk. I took one star away only because they started work before calling with a price, but again, they're so reasonably priced it wasn't a major deal breaker. They use to be better . I guess when you get to bussy you don't care about old customers anymore.I made an appointment for balance and alignment. They ask me to be there at 8.00 am I when to pick up the car at 10. My car was still in the driveway with no service done. Came back at noon and I was told that the rear could not be done because they need some bolts. (i had them in the car. no one called me to ask). BUT I was charged for front and back alignment Left the car there 3 more hours and when I came to pick it up I was asked for $60 more. So I had to pay the alignment twice. Phil and John helped me right away and talked with me about my needs then ordered tires for me. I came back in Wednesday just before 4. Bruhm's is probably one of the only places in the northeast to get your tires siped. Despite this, they don't over charge for siping; in fact, i would say they are very inexpensive for the time they put into it. I waited in the shop while they did the tire siping, and you can tell how good and honest the owner is to his customers just by how he interacts with them, and how they interact with him. Not one customer that stopped in asked for a quote before they started diagnosing and fixing their problems... and when it was done, i was floored when i heard what they were getting charged. It was CHEAP. Maybe i'm just used to the mentality of bigger shops trying to bend you over for servicing your car. I rarely frequent shops because of this, so i usually perform all the work on my personal vehicles so I'm aware of the labor involved. I don't know what the shop rate is at Bruhm's, but it must be very low. Bottom line, if you want quick, honest, inexpensive, and quality service, i would definitely make this place the top of your list. read more

Bruhm's is absolutely the place to go when you need repairs done to your car. We moved into Saugus over the winter and immediately need our tires replaced and other repairs done to our cars. We were expecting a bill well over $500 so we were shocked to find that they only charged the minimum needed just to make the repairs. A couple of weeks ago a nail put a leak into my one of the tires on my husbands car and they fixed it for us in less than 10 mins and only charged $10. You'll never feel that you're being taken advantage of or ripped off. They do honest work and make sure their customers are totally satisfied. They also make the repairs as quick as possible so that you're not out of a car for a minute longer than you need to be. We'll never take our cars anywhere else!!!!! BEST tire prices and they are GREAT quality tires, plus VERY fast service

A few days ago I discovered a leak in my fuel line. I used to go to a family owned mechanic, but they went out of business. About a year ago I started going to a large corporate tire shop for to have work done on my car. I took my car in and they told me for $1035 they could fix my car. I knew that the work they were going to do was not necessary, nor was the astronomical cost. I asked around and several friends recommended Bruhm's. I cannot thank them enough for the recommendations. A few hours after having my car towed to Bruhm's, I got a call from John, the owner, letting me know my car was all set. When I asked him how much I owed him, I was floored. I still haven't been able to pick my jaw up off the ground. $101 was the total. I could not be happier with both the service and the cost (or lack thereof!) at Bruhm's. I don't anticipate taking my car anywhere else other than here in the future. I have been going to Bruhm's for almost 25 years. I started when John's father owned the business. I went the first time needing one new tire. They got me in and out in no time with exactly what I needed and nothing more. After just a couple of visits to Bruhm's for fantastic fixes I have been a customer ever since. Bruhm's has been in the same location for many, many decades. John is reputable, honest and fair. Absolutely, positively has NEVER told me something was broken or needed to be replaced that was NOT broken. I can ALWAYS count on John and his top notch mechanics to make sure my car is operating smoothly and more importantly he makes sure my family and I are safe. I had my car into John last week for a dash light that would not turn off. After he drove my car into the bay he told me my steering was really tight and then he made my day! He told me that it was probably the steering pump and that Honda knew about the problem and they extended the warranty on the steering pump. Went to the dealer this morning and they said absolutely it was the pump and absolutely it was covered under the warranty. I have never been a fan of dealership service departments. Dealerships are more expensive, their hourly labor rate is WAY higher than John's, and their parts are marked up WAY more than John's. I think dealerships are also much more likely to replace or repair things that are not really broken. I once went to a dealer for a " free multi-point inspection" The service rep came to me and said he had bad news" My car would need cv boots, whatever they are, and that it would probably cost over $600. I refused the work and went to Bruhm's. John told me that, in fact, the car needed no cv boots. Since then have tried to NOT go to dealerships for service.There have been a couple of occasions that John sent me to the dealership for warranty work but because of the person he is he took the time to educate me about the problem. I was then able to go to the dealer already knowing what needed to be repaired and knowing that it was covered by my warranty. To end, I have three words for Bruhm's. BEST. SHOP. EVER. read more

I went to Bruhm's two weeks ago - recommended by a local mechanic shop that does not replace tires. I had a flat that could not be repaired. My tires were under warranty through another company, so I had a free replacement tire mailed to me. The staff at Bruhm's was very friendly, professional, helpful, honest, and has excellent customer service. I have a busy work schedule - and they accommodated my schedule by replacing the tire in 3 separate visits - taking off the old tire and putting on the spare; putting the new tire on the rim; and then putting the tire on the car right before I went to work one morning. All for $15 - very reasonable especially considering how much time they took to replace 1 tire. Two weeks later - my car was making a humming noise when I accelerated. I took it to Bruhm's and they fit me in during a super busy day. The noise had nothing to do with the tire replacement - but they still test drove it twice to figure out the noise was from under the hood. They did not charge me anything and worked on it for 2 hours. I would recommend Bruhm's to anyone and everyone. And since I seem to have a higher-than-average number of flat tires, I am sure I'll be back soon. read more
